"No I think you need to use the kiosk". O.k will do. Neither office personal have masks on. I have not worn one since Covid. I have no symptoms, fever, runny nose. The office personal tell's me she want's me to put a mask on. I rather not it is not required? Well I rather you did. I would prefer not to. Well O.k if you want to be like that I won't argue. Despite this, both the dermatologist and the medical assistants insisted that the reaction could not have been caused by the product and advised me to resume using it once the irritation cleared. I followed their instructions, and as soon as I reapplied the solution, my scalp broke out in the exact same reaction the very next day. Even after experiencing two identical reactions within four weeks--each occurring immediately after using the topical--everyone I spoke with continued to dismiss the obvious connection and suggested the cause was something else I was doing. It is extremely clear that the reaction was caused by the product they prescribed, yet throughout every conversation, the staff didn't to acknowledge this possibility. The unwillingness to take my concerns seriously was very frustrating.

During one visit, I arrived 10 minutes late due to road construction and was reprimanded - it was a brief 15-minute follow-up appointment. That interaction left me tearful and angry--and was documented as such in my medical record, which felt deeply insensitive and stigmatizing. The clinic had the choice to either see me or not, but scolding a patient is not professional. Later, when my insurance changed, they simply canceled a long-standing appointment without contacting me first. I expected more empathy, respect, and communication from a healthcare provider. She did examine them on each visit. It took her two years to finally perform biopsies. One of the pores was identified as having basal cancer cells. Then I was sent to Dr. Reedy, the Mohs specialist who re did the biopsies. This time she decided to cut wide and deep providing a permanent and deep scar on my nose. I went off Cape to one of the best dermatologists in the Boston area. I ended up needing a skin graft because the basal cells where so deep and I was told they had been there a long time.

If I have an urgent issue, Lena at scheduling has been phenomenal at getting back to me with a cancellation spot. Without an urgent matter, it's usually a 2 to 3 week wait depending on location. Dr. Dawn Baird is who my daughter and now I, typically see. She is extremely thorough and is excellent at avoiding pain. I do not know how she does it but the couple Novocain injections she administered was 100% pain free. I did not even feel a pinch. I forget her assistant's name, but the two of them work great as a team. Dr. Baird is not your typical dermatologist. She takes pictures of everything and dictates extremely thorough notes, to the point where I have no idea what she's talking about, not that it matters because she simplifies it afterwards. I went in for a very awkward procedure, that she turned simple and easy .... as if it was nothing. And let me tell you, it definitely was something. A little advice... Don't bother with compound W - all it did was make a mess. Great patient bedside manner and a very soft, empathetic touch. If you or anyone you care about has H.S (Hidradenitis Suppurativa), this is the facility to go to. All the doctors are knowledgeable. In addition to Dr. Baird, Dr. Rowe (and a few others) treated my daughter. Knowledge, kindness and listening are the features that stand out the most. Prior to AP Derm we went to Beth Israel in Boston. We have our favorite doctors there too. But, there is no need to commute that distance when these doctors are equally talented...and give you more time. Dr. Baird actually gave us more helpful info than B.I. - we never feel rushed. That's important.
