There is a whole staff, of course, but the women I dealt with were universally wonderful. We had round-the-clock in home care for five days, and all the VNs that came in for their shifts were thorough, conscientious, knowledgable, patient and good tempered. They tolerated my dog nosing through their things with admirable grace. Their supervisor, Nan, was wonderful. She has a lot of energy and at first I thought it might be too much for me to handle in my state, but she proved to be the pillar that I leaned on for those terrible five days I had to watch my Mom slip away. She fought to get Mom the care she needed, and the support *I* needed, even when I didn't know how to ask for it. The only hitch was there was a delay in getting the necessary information from their physician, Dr. Turzian, after Mom's death, which delayed her scheduled cremation for several days, and necessitated several phone calls to get what was needed. But while my Mom was alive, she couldn't have had better care. Hospice care is something you hope you will never need, but if you do find yourself needed to care for a dying loved one, I would whole-heartedly recommend giving these women a call.

The nurse who visited the first night was wonderful and she determined that my father might not make it in the next 48 hours. She requested 24 hour nursing to be present. No one showed up. They kept telling me someone was on the way but by the time someone came, 18 hours later, my father had already died. It was quite an upsetting experience

My sister needed round-the-clock continuous care and they not only provided it, but worked hard against the bureaucracy and red tape of insurance to make sure that my sister had all the care and support she needed. I cannot believe how hard the staff worked to support my sister and my family during this trying time. They were professional, but more importantly, they treated us like fellow human beings. It was that feeling of love and support throughout the process that really made me glad I had chosen them. Carina (Karina? Sp?) was on the phone and texting me from day 1 to ensure everything went smoothly. It felt like she was working 10-12 hour days for the first 4 days - whenever I needed something or had a question, she got back to me within an hour or two when a lot of things were in motion and I needed that level of coordination. Daleth was the RN who visited my sister daily to check on her and she worked hard and thought creatively to ensure my sister's continuous care was uninterrupted by insurance's red tape. She was caring, thoughtful, empathetic, and excellent at her job. I felt so fortunate to have her as my sister's case manager. The staffing agency Silverado used to supply continuous care for my sister was also a godsend. I worried that the nurses sent would be semi-committed or ambivalent about their jobs but they care SO SO much. Isaac checked on my sister like she was his own relative and Maria did the same as well. I couldn't believe there were so many committed and caring staff on the same team, it was all I could hope for. Thank you again for caring for my sister. Your level of personal commitment and love is so appreciated by all of us.

Two nurses in particular, Deby Lanza and Ina Purcarean, are truly extraordinary. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion mean so much to our entire family during a very difficult time. They treat my dad with such dignity and respect, always taking the time to explain things clearly and making sure he is comfortable. Deby and Ina go above and beyond not only for my dad but also for our family. They bring a calm, reassuring presence and show such patience, warmth, and empathy in every interaction. It is clear they care deeply about the people they serve. Hospice care requires a special kind of person, and Deb and Ina embody everything you would hope for in nurses during such an important time. We are incredibly thankful for the support and care we are receiving from Silverado Hospice LA and will always be grateful for the compassion they show our family.
