You order on a paper menu like at a sushi restaurant, picking exactly what you like--and honestly, you can go wild here. For the base price of $11.50 (for burritos and bowls), you pick your base, protein, up to two sauces, and then add as many of the mix-ins and toppings as you want. A steal, imo! When I got my order it was just a bubble waffle, no ice cream. I explained I thought I got the Melody but I guess I didn't order properly. They fixed the issue. The shop itself is really cute. Their milk teas are made with a non-dairy creamer while their lattes are made with whole milk. I recently tried the Cherry Blossom Milk Tea (50% sugar) and it was delicious, too. By the time I remembered, I had already finished most of the chicken and drank over half of my matcha milk tea! On my first visit, I tried the taro milk tea and loved it. This time, I ordered a matcha milk tea with bubbles at 30% sugar, along with a pineapple mojito (non-alcoholic) with crystal pearls. The matcha was smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. The 30% sugar level was perfect for letting the matcha flavor shine. The pineapple mojito was refreshing, light, and sparkling. It was also my first experience trying crystal pearls. My initial reaction was that I didn't like them because they're smaller and firmer than traditional boba pearls. They almost reminded me of boba that wasn't cooked quite long enough. But the more I drank, the more I appreciated them. In a cold, sparkling drink, they actually work really well. The pearls add a little surprise after each sip and give you something to chew, making the drink last longer and feel more interactive. Now for the star of the show: the Korean fried chicken. As someone who is mostly pescatarian, I've been wanting to try Korean fried chicken for a while, and this was a great introduction.
