This Rack location has a decent selection. Most recently went shoe shopping with my boyfriend and he found exactly what he needed. Sometimes the store seems a little messy and chaotic with merchandise not displayed properly. It seems customers and employees just kind of let merchandise get tossed about. Other than that, good place to shop for better quality clothing and accessories at discounted prices.

I ordered a pair on Amazon that were supposed to arrive Friday. Then I got the dreaded update that they were delayed to Saturday... at 10 PM. Well, that's not going to work. So I made the mad dash to Nordstrom Rack Saturday morning. I walked in with low expectations, fully prepared to hit multiple stores before finding anything close to what I needed. Instead, I found the most gorgeous Badgley Mischka crystal pumps. They're slightly bigger than my normal size, but that actually works in my favor. They're comfortable, my toes can move, and I can already tell I won't be plotting my escape from them halfway through the evening. While I was there I grabbed a strapless bra and even found a formal bag that works better than the clutch I originally planned to carry. Sibyl at checkout was the perfect finishing touch to my morning. Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful. The whole experience felt like the Nordstrom culture of service I studied back in graduate school.

I popped in to take a…read morelook about 45 minutes before posted store closing hours, however another shopper and I stayed until 90 minutes post close, due to such amazing support from the sweet owner, Spring and her in house alteration lady, Elizabeth. Spring was so gracious about staying open late to give myself and the other shopper time to try on a variety of items and get measured for fit. Spring is very knowledgeable about her brands and their sizing, and has very high quality offerings including brands from Europe. I got a few things and when I checked out, they have that new autocheckout system where you drop it all in a box and it somehow knows what you got. Every time I come here, no matter if it's a weekday or the weekend, there's always a long line that makes you really not want to buy anything to stand in the long lines. The selection at this store is nowhere as nice as other Zara's. The fitting rooms are also always closed so you're even more reluctant to buy anything. Too bad this is the only Zara in Austin.

There are 3 or 4 separate areas you can visit and they have things from locally made earrings and art to coasters, desk plates, rubber ducks of famous people, religious candles with random famous people, funny socks, clothes, and so much more. The staff is friendly and outgoing, they even had a woman at the door greeting you and offering you a hand basket if you wanted or needed one. There were 3 or 4 cashiers and at least one lady walking around greeting you and seeing if they could help. It is pricier then your chain store but the products are cooler, unique, and many times locally made. Things you can't get at other stores or amazon. Like so many places, it's one downside is parking. It is a small lot, if you part in front you basically have to back in to spot blocking traffic or back out into traffic. There is a small side lot that is better but you basically have to 3 point turn out of that spot. Always willing to pay a bit more to support local. I was headed back home and decided to stop on by to purchase a brand of trouser socks they carry that I really like wearing for work. While there I wanted to purchase another brand of pants I also like. I was greeted immediately by a boutique stylist expert. I approached another stylist expert named Anne regarding what I was seeking. She guided me to the exact style of pants I wanted and made suggestions. Even though my size was not available she kindly placed a order to be shipped to my home. Which arrived exactly has scheduled. I've become a fan of Talbots classic style and brights fun colors. Will continue to shop Talbots.
