My phone slipped out of my pocket and I forgot it at this location. I came back within 15 minutes and the store had just closed. Employees inside could see me knocking and trying to get their attention - but I was ignored. I was finally able to get the attention of the associate that helped me with my check out... he told me they were not allowed to open the door. After several walks up and down the aisle he found it. But again said they couldn't open the door. Manager could tell I was upset, and hesitated to unlock the door (was just single bolt lock). She unlocked the door finally and took multiple pictures of my phone and needed my ID (even after we were able to unlock the phone and showed her we had access to everything with passcodes). Not sure what the big deal is with unlocking the door. I told her if there was an emergency that's a pretty scary policy to not be able to unlock the main door. Still daylight... won't be shopping here again. Something so simple turned into a 30minute ordeal. read more

Full disclosure, I am trying to be funny and useful for this review. Someone recently messaged me on Yelp and told me I was trying to be funny on the wrong site. I thought about it for a while and he's half right. I am trying to be funny, but Yelp is a great site to do so. People literally have the option to click "useful", "funny", and/or "cool" after reading a review. I wonder if this guy is also messaging people who he thinks are trying to be useful or cool on Yelp and telling them this is the wrong site for that. In his defense, there is no button for "trying to be funny". If there was that's probably what he would click for the majority of my reviews. Anyways, on with the review. I hate shopping, but everyone needs shoes, unless you're a nudist or extremely cheap. I wonder if that's the reason why nudist become nudist. They must save a fortune on not buying clothes. I'm cheap, but not cheap enough to become a nudist, so I got three pairs of shoes at DSW. One pair is for when I want to feel fly, another pair is for quickness and efficiency (no laces), and the last pair is for when I want to be taller. DSW is definitely the place to go if you're searching for any one of those things. That's my review...I hope it was somewhat useful and funny. I didn't really smile or laugh when I was writing it, so why would it make anyone else. I think that guy messaged me because he wants me to be better. Instead of trying to be funny, he wants me to just be funny. My goal for my next review is to make myself and him laugh or smile. Always love coming to DSW designer shoe warehouse. I can shop for my grandkids my grown kids my husband and myself. They carry a variety of styles from athletic casual sports water shoe and even something with a little bling. Needed some shoes for a wedding that cost original price $85 with clearance and coupon and discount paid $15 for them and they were perfect for a wedding I was attending. So I ordered hiking shoes Saturday night, they said they were in stock and able to be picked up in the morning so I continued with the purchase. Only for it to be canceled as soon as I'm on my way to pick them up at 10:30 am right before my date. A cancel?! With no call or attempt to use that credit towards another shoe? Nope just flat out cancels my order "asap pickup" so I have to now wait 7 business days for my money back, while they enjoy their $100 loan. I wasn't surprised when the enormous women manager waddled to the front, you could tell she wasn't the type to think ahead/avoid inconveniencing other ppl and is just lazy as could be. Why would stuff be incorrectly marked as stocked in store so they're able to take my money, they need to hire different people because it looks like they have no clue about their inventory, and have no idea to handle your own mistake correctly which is apologizing that the shoe is actually out of stock because of their mistake and they would like to cancel for that shoe but apply the credit to one I pick instead of WAITING. WHAT IF PEOPLE DONT HAVE THE EXTRA MONEY. Bought different ones at full price and didn't even offer a percentage off because of their inconvenience to me either. So annoyed. I ordered puma high tops for my birthday, I had to order them on line because they don't have them in this store ,so I ordered them on line ,but the website asked me if I wanted to be a vip member, so I sigh up, and it wouldn't let me get the bag and the 10% off ,it wouldn't let me sign in ,then I ordered it as a guest ,then I get an email on the 5th of Oct telling me my order was canceled ,so I try calling customer service and I get this lady bot asking me for my vip number ,i tell her I don't have one ,then she tells me the stores closed ,when at the beginning she said we're open till 10 pm ,worst customer service ever, then I call the store number and no answer after 20 rings maybe more ,I can't get some one to talk to ,so no I don't recommend this store or on line and I want a refund and I'm going to talk to seven on your side and let them know how dsw treats customers read more

I love shoes and shoes love me Rows and rows of shoes, all types of shoes, all types of brands, all types of colors and a lot of sizes Located in a nice clean plaza right off the freeway so it is easy to find and easy to park First thing I do is head straight back to the clearance section and scan all of the shoes in my size to see what I like, then look up at the color coded discount percentage sign and do the math as to how much I can spend, then I think hum... It's fall, I need flats because my toesies are getting cold, and winter is around the corner so ill need boots, but there are still some pretty hot days so ill get a pair of sandals and that wedding next month ill need some heels... And I walk from aisle to aisle looking, feeling and even smelling the shoes ok not every shoe, but if it's leather idk why my parents taught me to smell it to see if it's leather or synthetic leather haha... It's a self serve kind of place, no one asked if I needed help or interacted with me until I was at the cash wrap, but I'm fine with that because all the shoes I need are at my reach Good selection, clean store, nice design and good prices, great location... Decided to stop in when really I parked here to go to Petco. Came in with my sister and went straight to the sale rack. I walked in and went straight to the back left corner where the first section of sale is. This employee then walked up to me and asked if I needed help. I said no thank you. I then walked to the other side of the store and she proceeded to follow me. annoying. I came in twenty minutes before he store closed.... Specifically to check clearance... It never fails, every time I go to this store I find something! The staff here is great. I had a coupon for $10 off but it had expired and I threw it away. I told the sales gal this and she called their corporate office and they honored my coupon. I love it when corporate places do this, it really shows that they put their customers first. Writing this from the parking lot... I went to the sale rack first because well why wouldn't you? The sale rack is right by the employee only door. I over heard a "manager" berating an employee through the door. It was so unprofessional to hear them yelling swear words. If I was that employee I would quit on the spot. To be talked to in such a manner within earshot of customers is humiliating. That manager needs to be fired ASAP, she will run your business into the ground with that behavior. Prettiest DSW I've ever been to. The atmosphere of the store makes you feel like you're shopping at some high end shoe store. It has lovely displays, decorated modernly, and kept clean. I came here this past Sunday afternoon and surprisingly for a discount shoe store everything was organized. I didn't feel like I was shopping at a discount shoe store when I was here. It's even better kept than Macy's. I left buying a pair of clearance Rampage Wedges for $26. They are super cute and comfy. I can't believe they were so cheap. Great deal. This DSW is smaller than most DSWs I've been to, but it's definitely better than the other locations. read more

IN LOVE with this DSW. I did not know this location had been opened for over 2 years! Maybe it's because it is in the middle of Morgan Hill and out of most people's shopping area, but..they have a good portion of shoes in my size, 5 and 5.5. Do you know how hard it is to find shoes when you have small feet? REALLY HARD. I've tried going to the DSW on Stevens Creek and Fremont, but they rarely have a wide variety of shoes in size 5 and 5.5. When I cam to this location I was amaze on how many shoes there were to choose from in sizes 5 and 5.5. Thank you Morgan Hill location! Love this DSW show store, its slightly smaller than the one on Stevens Creek in Santa Clara, but they they still have a extremely large variety of shoes still. Customer service is top notch here! I was so super excited when this store was came into Morgan Hill!!! I love shoes!!! I love a store that houses a bunch of shoes in it! I have always found my size and there is a bunch of styles to look at. Customer service wise, the first time I went in I wasn't acknowledged until I picked up a pair of shoes to try on. The other times, I was greeted at the entrance of the store and throughout the time while I shopped. Management at this store is very knowledgeable and helpful. Here is an update of this store... I went shopping there yesterday and was very disappointed. No acknowledgement by anyone that worked there, had horrible customer service from the girl that was behind the register and was going to walk out without purchasing, but I needed the shoes I bought for a wedding that I am in a few months. If a person is having a bad day, I totally get it, but I have worked in customer service for a long time, and I know that your customers don't care that you are having a bad day. You should never show your customers that you are mad at something else... The likelihood of them taking it the wrong way is high. I am thinking about returning the shoe and finding another pair somewhere else just because I want to feel like the store that I purchase from is happy that I am spending my hard earned money in their store. read more

Even though the selection isn't as high as the one out in San Jose, there are fewer people here, and therefore less women you have to elbow out of your way to get to that coveted shoe. And the clearance area in the back isn't picked over. also, the decor is pretty swanky, especially for a DSW. There was a HUGE selection of men's dress shoes and summer wear (mandles/flip-flops). Pretty small athletic section, mostly dominated by K-Swiss, Adidas and Sketchers. I've never been to a DSW before, but I've heard of it. Curious (and on my day off) I decided to check it out. They have decent brands - Franco Sarto, Sperry, Nine West, Anne Klein to name a few. The store is clean and spacious, and the employees are friendly. Here is what I didn't like: -In the clearance section there was a pair of Sperry top sider shoes for $75.00. Regularly prices Sperry shoes at Nordstrom (and the Sperry store) are $80.00. I'm happy to save $5.00 where I can, but I wouldn't consider the difference a great deal. If $5 is the best they can do for clearance I wonder how much of their merchandise is correctly priced? I am hesitant to walk in to DSW and buy a pair of Steve Madden heels (for example) thinking they are on sale or at a discounted price when I could buy them for less elsewhere. -Also there are not very many size 5 shoes. I liked several pairs of flats but when they did have a 5 they were usually too wide. I found a black purse that is shaped like an oval. It reminds me of the bags doctors took to home visits back in the day. I LOVE it, though I had never heard of the label Urban Expressions. Curious, I looked it up online. Apparently the brand is available wholesale to vendors - a new account cannot be established if another client is within a 1 mile radius. That means they keep these bags relatively exclusive. Heaven! Shoe heaven! I was quite excited a few years ago when DSW decided to come to MH. How can a girl get so lucky? This place is huge! Rows and rows of beautiful shoes. How I wish they carry children's shoes. I've been to some DSW that actually carries them I hope they bring them to MH soon. The prices are decent. Signature shoes for less. O.K., based on other reviews I've seen, I'm clearly in the minority here with my 2 stars. Here's my justification. The last two pairs of shoes I've purchased here have fallen apart within a matter of a month or two. Hey, I have a job, and I own several pairs of shoes (yeah, a little metro); it's not like I was wearing the same pair every day for two months - more like once a week. The first time it happened I brought the shoes in and exchanged them without a problem (this is why I gave 2 stars and not 1). The second time it happened (a totally different style and brand of shoe) I brought those shoes in. I explained to the salesperson that this was the 2nd time in a row that this had happened. I got a weird look from the salesperson, as if it were my feet's fault the shoes broke. No, my feet are not defective. I exchanged them, but it wasn't as smooth as the first time. Am I supposed to feel guilty that they had to exchange two pairs of shoes for me, or should they feel guilty for their customer's inconvenience. When I left, I was the one feeling weird about it. I mean, really, I can go to a crappy shoe store and pay even less for shoes that won't fall apart within two months. I've re-examined my feet. They are still in proper operating condition. I've confirmed they were not the problem. No, it wasn't my fault. Based on this, I feel O.K. about my 2 star rating. How 'bout it everyone, can I get an amen? read more

Horrible customer service from the Assistant Manager Lori. Not very friendly and when I was asking her questions she gave me attitude, and made a big sigh without any eye contact. You can clearly tell that she didn't want to help me so she made up some excuse that her system froze and had another girl ring the rest of my transaction out. But was able to ring the customer behind with no problem??? I thought her system was down?? If she was having a bad day she should never take it out on customers. Ive never had a bad experience here and I shop here all the time. Everyone has always been very nice and helpful. Whoever does the hiring should take a good look at who they have at the registers and probably have her in the back stocking or she should look into a different job. read more

This place is huge and has great variety. It's not as big as the one in SF but it's good enough, especially for its location. I wished that they had more designer shoes though because those are hard to find (even online). You can even put shoes on hold up to the next day til closing!
