Quality...tradition with a fashion forward twist!!! Sooo...late night video scrolling had me stumble upon some outfits that I thought would look sensational on my muse and down the rabbit hole I go. After searching in a 50-mile radius luck would have it the Memorial City location had the items in stock. I had pictures and the item names on my phone and as we walked in the store was greeted by Demetria. She took down all the information and started the scavenger hunt. After finding the clothes, we were escorted to a changing room for two. Pictures and reality do not always coincide and one of the blouses was a definite no but Demetria asked a few questions and viola an ensemble appeared on the front of the dressing room door. She presented an outfit that had that fierce boss image during the day and that Wow, come-hither vibe for the evening. She picked a winner and get this....it was only Demetria's second day working for Ann Taylor!!! I purchase The Weekend Collection FairIsle Polo Sweater for 129.00 on the Memorial Store, Town and Country I was only able to wore it one, because the silver thread of the sweater keeps unstitching and the sweater looks so bad, and only the first time I wore it, really? I was immediately greeted as I walked into the store and asked if I needed help finding any items. I found a few holiday gifts as sparkly gloves and hats.Need a few secret Santa items for the office party and found some cute boots. They have a huge selection of sale items in the back left of the store and plenty of associates to help you find whatever you need. Unfortunately I decided to purchase elsewhere as the three employees snacking at the cash register couldn't be bothered to help me find sizes or anything. The employees here are so helpful and friendly. I was welcomed in the store, asked my name, offered a dressing room and was given lots additional help when the first round of items didn't fit. They even searched in the back until they found just the size I needed. If you want to be surrounded by snobby employees and have a bad shopping experience come here! The customer service at this store is absolutely horrendous. I was not greeted by any employees when I came in, the employee that was fixing clothes on one rack would not budge so I could even look at the clothing she was blocking. When I asked for a dressing room, the attitude I received from the employee was terrible. She acted as if I was inconveniencing her. No one came to help me, no one checked on me, no one offered to exchange sizes whatsoever even though I went out a few times to get sizes. I felt as if I was intruding a private party that I was not invited to. I was so upset at the lack of service that I asked to speak to the manager regarding the lack of customer service who said, "Well an associate opened the dressing room didn't she?" As if this one gesture was already more than enough help I should have received. I left over $1,000 of merchandise at the store and purchased them online instead because of the terrible treatment I received there. read more

I was doing some last minute shopping around the Memorial area on the Friday before Christmas Eve. After a stop at Bath & Body Works, I walked into this Ann Taylor at 6:48 pm trying to quickly find something extra for my grandmother. Apparently this store did not have extended holiday hours, as the music was already off, and there was only a single customer left at the register. An employee was straightening clothes up front and seemed somewhat put off that I had walked in. But as I made my way towards the back of the store, another employee (perhaps the manager) was walking out from a back room...when she saw me, instead of greeting me and/or asking if I needed any help, she instead informed me, "Just so you know, we close in 10 minutes." RUDE! That's simply poor customer service. I worked at Anthropologie when I was in college...if any customers were left in the store, we always allowed them to continue shopping as we proceeded with our closing routines. I in turn was so put off by this woman's attitude, that I turned around and walked out the store. Your old lady clothes selection isn't all that great, combined with poor service means I will not be coming back to this store! read more

The worst customer experience, ever. I went by to exchange a sweater for a smaller size and had the gift receipt. Simple, right?? I scanned the main floor and after not seeing it, got in line to at least drop off the exchange and ask for assistance. The sales associate looked at the sweater and said they didn't have it. She said she could check online and said they were out in store but I could order online after returning. Following her advice, I returned the sweater and she gave me a merchandise credit "a card" to use for the online order. Transaction #1. She places the order and then I try to use the card she gave me to pay and it doesn't work. She walks off and comes back stating the manager said "they don't have the correct merchandise card to give me for an online purchase, so I'll have to use a different form of payment for the sweater. " So, I now have to use my credit card or check card for this sweater...ok, so I swipe a personal card for the sweater (I really want this sweater)...transaction #2. Now I'm concerned about this "merchandise credit" not working so I decide to shop and use it now in case it doesn't work later. Low and behold, there are seven of these sweaters in the clearance area in back, and three in my size. I grab one and go get back in line. I explain they have plenty of stock and to please cancel the order and I'd like to use my merchandise credit for the sweater in the correct size. So I buy the sweater, transaction #3, and the manger now comes to tell me I need to cancel the order myself- they cannot cancel it and to call customer service. I'd I knew that I would not have bought it in store and just waited for the sweater to arrive from the online order. I've now paid for the same sweater twice, call customer service and they cannot cancel the order either. I have to wait until it is shipped and then return it. Oh and I'll be charged a 7.95 fee to return by mail. This is complete incompetency and totally absurd. I went looking for help to simply get the same sweater in a smaller size with a gift receipt. I don't know your stock or inventory. I'm a customer looking to the staff to help direct me to a solution. Now I'm inconvenienced with an order that I'll have to return here in two weeks with likely a similar experience to explain why I'm returning something. Coincidentally this was a gift from my husband that told me after hearing my story he had a horrible experience trying to check out and get a $100 gift card that I needless to say did not use today. Someone needs to train this team and especially the manager on appropriate customer service. read more

Customer service is poor. There weren't lots of options. They advertised to be with 40% discount, however, when checking out they said the jackets were not. I ended up buying the jacket, as I really liked it. I went across the street to White House, black Market, what a difference in customer service.. they made me feel they really cared about customers. read more

The sales ladies there always act like they don't care my business, no one greets me, no one come to ask whether I need help, and when I asked for help, they seems don't want to answer my questions. I come to this store only because it is close to my office, but I really don't enjoy shopping at this location. I went in to this store looking for some pants and also to look around if anything caught my eye. I walked in soon after opening and I thought I was completely invisible the entire time I was there. No one greeted me, asked if I was looking for anything or if I needed help, and nobody came to the dressing room to see if I needed another size. (I actually didn't even bother asking for a dressing room, I just walked in myself to find an unlocked one). None of the items fit and there was nobody attending the fitting room. Had I really wanted something I would have probably put on my own clothes again, gone to find another size and then tried on the new size but nothing was particularly beautiful and I was irritated that the sales ladies had no interest, so I just left. read more

poor customer service. the employees does not greet and are not attentive or look like they enjoy their job. worst team ever. they are not professional at all. Had to wait in the front counter for 5 minutes until someone helped me. An employee passed me by too and didn't greet or help me. She was not concerned on why I was standing in the front counter waiting. on top of that this lady that works there raised her voice at me when i picked up my clothes. she asked me to sign but i asked for what and she said it was for the order but i wanted to check my items before signing and she screamed at me while there were other customers that i dont have ownership of it. i actually do have ownership since i paid for it already. that was awfully rude of her to raise her voice and say false information with other people around. very disrespectful. i will not be coming back. they are rude. Plus I asked a question about something else regarding Ann Taylor but she did not know about it. Like honestly, if you're going to be rude then at least know your information for the company you are working for. great location but the workers are not a great fit. rude. unprofessional. non attentive. Zillions of sales ladies, not one of them pleasant. The clothing on the sales racks were not sized so you had to dig through. The dressing rooms were loaded with clothes that were not hung up. I love this store! Actually if you look in my closet 95% of what I own comes from here. I can order my size or go into the store and it fits! They carry petites for my bottom half and regular sizes for my top! They have amazing sales so if you can wait usually you can find great quality clothes at great prices! I don't normally need a sales person but when I have the ladies are super nice! Their website is easy to navigate and I rely on their reviews. They post the good the bad and the ugly! It's refreshing that you can read an accurate review (some of which I wrote) and get a real idea of the product. I am a fan of most of their shoes and jewelry. Again the reviews help to weed out the uncomfortable shoe and the occasional odd piece of jewelry! Anyway I love Ann Taylor and my husband would prefer I get a job there to support my habit! In the meantime I keep getting my stash delivered to my mailbox! Happy shopping! read more
