I have come into the store multiple times over this past month and i don't know if their air conditioning doesn't work or what but it's so hot in there. i've mentioned it to the workers but they just say they've made a call. it's houston and it's gets to almost 100 degrees outside, they need to fix their A/C. read more

While I don't normally gravitate to this store, it's nearly Christmas and I wanted to get the cliche matching kid Christmas Jammie's. Carter's had a great selection of Christmas PJs and had them all in all the sizes... bonus, they were all $10 from the $34 price tag. The wait at checkout was one of the biggest negatives. They had two girls working but both were dealing with returns and it took FOREVER. Finally another girl took us on the other side, which was a relief. The other negative is that it's just so dang crowded with merchandise that it's hard to maneuver. Add in people and it's hard to get around the store. Very frustrating when you just want to get in and out. Nonetheless, we got exactly what we came for and were happy with the cost. read more

The store was pretty full when I walked in, there was an elderly woman and a younger woman helping her at the register. I was just returning a pair of shoes that I bought. As I stood in line for the refund the line grew to about five people waiting for the cashiers. One cashier was lining this gift box with paper two different ways and then cut all the tags off of every single item and there were a few and then tucked in the other tags that didn't have prices on them and then put them all nice and neatly in the box and basically turn keyed a customers baby gift for someone outside the store. Mind you the elderly lady had a capable assistant, I think a granddaughter who was college age that absolutely could've helped her fix that box. I don't think that if an elderly person actually has help with them that you should take over the whole process making five other people wait 20 minutes until you finish wrapping her gift for her with her assistant right beside her. As soon as that woman and her niece walked away a new cashier came up and started helping. So basically she saw the line, she saw her building presence for other people and she still just stayed back in the back room not helping. Terrible customer service, bad form, that's not their job to put together a shower gift for a person when you have a line of five or more people waiting and you were the only cashier. It was ridiculous and I know that in these times that things have definitely changed but professionalism, it's not that hard, you can do it!! read more

This credit card deal was a 40 minute nightmare. If you value your time, go elsewhere. My wife and I are expecting in December and the gender reveal was yesterday. She took her sister to pick out the the baby's first outfits. My sister in law and wife both accumulated $460 worth of baby clothes. It was a cute and heart warming moment. But then we met the checkout girl, Karina. I liked the idea of saving $138, and babies grow, so I decided to sign up for this credit card. Here are the highlights that Karina managed during this process - she asked if she could use my wife's name with my social.. - she entered Las Vegas, TX - she asked the manager if I'm allowed to apply for a credit card - I repeat all of my into approx three times Overall, not too bad. But even after getting approved, the discount wasn't applied. She proceeded to waste another 20 minutes of my time by playing on the telephone to find out why. Turns out she hit the wrong menu and was speaking with online order people the entire time. Karina, you're the reason 15/hr is fought against. Raven, you weren't much help either, you had the gaw to try to argue with my wife, but you're at least not the type to drown during rainfall like your associate. Nothing was resolved and our time was wasted. read more

Nice store with a decent selection of clothes at good prices. The clothing is generally good quality. I go there mostly for the sleepers, especially the ones that zip up the front. This store is smaller than the one at Katy Mills Mall, but the prices are the same, even though the one at Katy Mills is supposedly an outlet. I happened to go to Sam's Club on the same day, and I noticed that the prices are less at Carter's than at Sam's for identical items. Every time you make a purchase, they give you a 20% off coupon for the following month. They also have sales most of the time, 40 to 50% off is not uncommon. They were busy the day I was there, but there were employees chatting with each other, and no one offerred assistance. The girl at the register was almost pleasant. I wasn't impressed with the service, but I'd go back for the great deals on children's clothes. read more

A Black Friday visit was black, indeed. No,the store was not crowded, but the attitude of the sole person working there at the register was black, indeed. "Your phone number." No "please." No greeting upon entering the store. No, "Did you find everything you were looking for?" Curt, brusque, not a smile or pleasantry anywhere. I don't find the selection very good at this store. $2 for a box. We all have a choice where to spend our money, and it won't be here. read more

Every time I come into this store I am always greeted with a smile! Every worker is so nice and helpful. The rewards program is really helpful when it comes to saving money. I have nieces and nephews that I constantly buy clothing for and I always find what I need. Their clearance section always has really good deals and I recommend shopping when they have the additional percentage off!! I love this store and the product!!! read more

My wife is addicted to this store. We just had a baby boy (Joshua) and I bet when the ladies at the store read this, they will know who I am. Why? Because the employee's are very nice and they care about you and your baby. They keep the store clean and organized and new sale signs going up constantly. Great place to buy gifts for friends who has babies!! The staff are so friendly and kind. They greet you when you walk in. The store is divided as left side for the girls and right side for the boys. They carry sizes from newborn to 8. I came in here to buy clothes for my 2 year old nephew and baby to come niece. Today they had 50% off or more the ENTIRE store. They have great doorbuster deals and 20% off extra for clearance items. My friends tell me that Carter's run in a size smaller than normal. So I make sure I buy a size or two up from the kid's ages. If you sign up to be on their rewards program, every $1 you spend you get 1 point. Every 75 points you accumulate you get $10 credit. They also give out coupons to use next time you come. read more

Carter's Babies & Kids - Reward Member - Children's Clothing Near Me - Houston, Texas

Usually this is my go-to store to pick up cute and affordable baby clothing for my 3 children and the rewards program really pays off. Today was a very disappointing experience and hopefully the only time this happens. I arrived with my 2 year old at 10 am to pick up a couple of new items for my school aged children. While looking at the shoes, my 2 year old toddled off to play with the baby gadgets posted at the register - when I turned to retrieve him, he headed towards the front door where I realized someone (presumably the store clerk) had actually propped the front door wide open! Any child could have very easily left the store; not to mention the AC in the building was working just fine. In the best interest of all shoppers, I closed the door without issue. After we finished our shopping, it was difficult to know which register was working because there were sales tags, posters, printed paper, boxes, etc scattered all over every available surface. The clerk motioned silently for me to go to a particular register and without a greeting or any manner of acknowledgement, scanned my items, didn't ask about rewards points, and then proceeded to take out her cell phone and, if I'm not mistaken, snapped a picture of me and/or my son when I turned to look at items behind me. I turned back around realizing I heard a phone camera and she proceeded to text someone quietly on her phone at her register while I stood there with my transaction approved waiting for her to hand me my printed receipt. She finished texting 25 seconds later while I stood watching her and holding my 2 year old. Then she handed me a receipt, again with no acknowledgment, and promptly turned her back on me out of what felt like annoyance that I had interrupted whatever task she needed to get back to, and got back to it. I walked out annoyed and looked for the appropriate protocol for logging a complaint on my receipt. I didn't see any procedure noted on the receipt and the clerk was the only visible sales person in the store so it made no sense to call the store at this time to complain. Sad. I will be hesitant about coming here next time. Not the kind of service I'm used to at this store. read more

Horrible, horrible customer service. I usually like to come to this Carters because it is near my home and the clothing and shoe selection is good, recently, their staff have become inattentive, careless, and just plain rude. I will take my business elsewhere and shop at other children's boutiques. I am so disappointed that someone so mean could work at a place where many parents shop with their children. read more

This is my go to Carter's store for my kiddos clothes! I love their selection and the staff is friendly without being overbearing. After my experience at the Carter's on Post Oak, I will be sticking to the Town & Country location from here on. read more
