I was sent by my primary care physician after hours and the doc on call did not want to do the procedure she called ahead for me on. He gave every excuse as to why I shouldn't- seems like if someone is sent by their doctor- you do the procedure. They went for a dang reason. It's been a week and I am still sick. Covid seems to have brought the worst out of people and this guy is definitely 1. New management doesn't seem to have made a difference. He was smiling when I left. He was either lazy or evil. After completing the initial paperwork, Bill took us back to an exam room. We discussed my issue and the proceeded to have my blood pressure and temperature taken. Bill walked me through the process with expertise and kindness. It was determined I needed a cat scan so Cathy took over and walked me through the process with ease and whimsy. We were there for awhile because I needed several tests to try to figure out what was causing my pain but that's to be expected and was not an issue. Meghan checked me out without pressure or a judging look like I have previously experienced at other places. I actually felt good about paying! This was probably the most enjoyable ER visit, despite my pain issue, I have ever had. Thank you Cathy, Bill and Meghan! Y'all are awesome!

From the first visit, I felt like she & her nurses were there for me. I love that Dr. Caldwell takes the time to listen to you when you are telling her about your issues. She has always taken the time to go over my health issues when I ask questions. She honored that I didn't want to just slap antibiotics on my issues and actually recommended some herbs that helped clear up my sinus issues. She listened when I said I think I'm hypothyroid and did the test for me - sure enough, even to her surprise, I was. She has offered me to have drug compounded to avoid animal bi-products in my meds. And her NP is freaking awesome too. I drive over an hour to see these ladies! I hate the drive, but sometimes, when you find a place you like, you do what you have to do. Though I have to say, Becky - the phone lady isn't the most pleasant. Just get past that and it's golden.

It took an hour and 10 minutes after to see the doctor. Dr. Douglis wanted to have a CT scan done on a 14 year old without life threatening injuries. This caused alarm in us because of the radiation concerns. Dr. Douglis's response was to google it again... Our concerns are valid and he certainly could have handled it in a much more professional way. The reality is NIH research shows that CT scans have added about 103,000 future cancer patients. "Using the UCSF registry data on individual CT exams and RadRAT, the team estimated that CT use in 2023 could result in almost 103,000 future cancers. If current practices continue, CT scan use might eventually account for about 5% of all new cancer diagnoses in the U.S. per year." https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/radiation-ct-scans-cancer-risks On top of all of this, the office smelled, and was generally dirty. They called us back to a room right away, and we hardly had to wait for anyone to come in. The doctor and assistant were both so kind to my toddler, who's super inquisitive and hyper! The girl at the front desk was also incredibly nice, and every employee we interacted with was so sweet. 10/10 recommend! This will definitely be our go to urgent care from now on when we need it.

Dr. Powellson was in NO way friendly, welcoming, comforting, or helpful. He was, instead;rude, argumentative, interrupting, judgemental, cold, and dismissive. He was entirely focused on my mental health diagnosis-which was NOT why I was there-and treated my physical health, as well as some important concerns I tried to communicate, as an afterthought. The room was cold, sterile, uncomfortable, and so is Dr. Powellson. I was immediately put off and defensive with his demeanor, and his lack of focus on my physical health rather than my mental- he seemed to form an opinion when I told him my diagnosis- was confusing and frustrating. I jave a lump in my abdomen and another in my pelvis that he NEVER EXAMINED, or asked about them after I mentioned it. I felt judged, as though Dr Powellson has a bias about people with BPD. The building and the lobby made me want to turn around as soon as I got there, and Dr. Powellson made me so uncomfortable; feeling judged and argued with, and frustrated, that I walked out of the appointment within 5 minutes of meeting and talking to him. My annual physical is only 15 min including waiting time, her assistant taking measurements of blood pressure, weight, height and answering questionnaire. She just reviewed the questionnaire and asked some follow-up questions. She charged it as sick visit and annual prevention exam. She refused to change it after I contacted her. I called billing department, told them it is medical billing frauds and I will report it to the board. Then the charge was dropped immediately.
