The service is terrible. I had an appointment and waited 20 minutes past my appointment time before leaving. Also the nail tools aren't sanitized after use with customers, they are only wiped off with a dirty rag before they use it on the next customer. Towels are used from customer to customer without being changed. And the salon itself is very dirty (floors, etc). I will not go back to this nail salon. read more

So basically the $20 "basic pedi" is really quite basic. I asked him to remove the dead skin from my pinky toe ( 1 toe) and he say that's the callous removal treatment which is $12 more. Been there several times. Today was the last. I was abandoned in my chair twice. No one came to finish my manicure. I got up and paid and left. No tip today. I previously tipped well expecting good service when I return. First of all they need more English speaking workers. I said what I wanted before I was seated but obviously the nail tech didn't get the message and got mad at me when I told her no. ... I wanted ....she put cotton soaked foil wraps on my fingers and went to do a pedicure. I fussed and another tech came and did my nails (terrible job) and left me. The nail technicians here are amateurs practicing on your nails. The owner's daughter was doing my nails and cut me (causing me to bleed). The person who did my pedicure kept having to wipe polish off of my skin because she kept messing up. They try to rush through your manicure or pedicure because they only want the money. They quickly greet you and seat you when you walk in. Large selection of gel polishes although they don't have a ton of neutral tones that I saw and arent organized by color-if that makes sense. Very friendly and clean environment. Their acrylic nails last FOREVER. I got nails on and went away and they stayed on and didn't lift at all for 2 1/2 weeks. I struggled with going other places and their acrylic lifts off my nail after a week. Prices are reasonably average. They have a membership program where after you go a second time I believe, you get 10% off every visit. The only reason I didn't give them a 5th star was because I was unimpressed with their shaping of nails. I wanted a subtle coffin nail and they didn't do it correctly the first time, made them REALLY narrow but the second time they were better but not perfect. Not sure about other nail shapes but that's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. Other wise I highly recommend! They even have little kid sized pedicure chairs if kids want a pedicure! read more

Very expensive and not worth the cost. I tried it today and less than 4 hours of having my manicure it's cracking and chipping. It's unorganized and the workers are scrambling around each other to work. They don't work in order of customers as they come in so you can be waiting longer than someone who comes in after you getting the same exact deal. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend and I definitely won't be going back. Also the callous removing pedicure is very uncomfortable, they're basically just sanding away at your feet, which I'm sure if you have super calloused feet is helpful but if not its just kind of a painful experience. read more

Worst place I've ever gotten my nails done. They are more interested in talking very loudly within themselves than paying attention to what they are doing. I just went for a regular manicure and eyebrow wax. Wax was first and I had to tell her to cut them. Next were the nails. She barely cut my cuticles than put the polish over the cuticle and all over my finger. It looks like a 5 yea old did it. Loud! Very Loud talking to each other and barely speak English. The poor lady next to me was getting gel nails and the woman asked her how many coats she applied because she forgot. Too busy talking and looking everywhere but what they are doing. First time I have ever been given a bowl of cold water to soak in. Cold?? Plus the bowls that held the water were nasty dirty and the sanitation was bad. Used cutters from a bowl of water. I got my nails done on Saturday with my daughters. I waited over three hours and received a very bad job. Not happy with the service. While getting my nails done the person was on the cell phone, kept getting up and leaving, and did not finish my nails to look nice. I have never had this service before. My daughter had her cuticle cut and it did bleed, the tech put something on it, however, she continued to use the same tools to complete her manicure. Looking closely at my nails, one is already lifting and they are not fully covering my natural nails. Today was my last day too! read more

This place sucks. They were busy when I came in, which was fine, but they set me up to soak my gel nails and left me there for about thirty minutes while they worked on someone else. If you're going to make me wait, at least let me have my hands! The filing was awful, the paint job was awful. I had to wait AGAIN for another tech to do the simple design I wanted, which she did quickly and carelessly and missed spots with the top coat, as well. Recently got a promotion at work so my husband took me for a mani-pedi as a congratulations. The pedicure I did enjoy but was nothing to brag about or perhaps even pay for. If you don't agree to their expensive "upgrades" you might as well paint your own toes because the pedicure is that basic. I could've have actually gotten past that fact. The issue came up when my manicure was done and the tech cut my cuticle and it wouldn't stop bleeding. Nothing was offered to make up for this and to top it off my finger is now infected. I had my nails and eyebrows done tonight at Ana's. It was my first visit and I brought a picture of the designs I wanted done on my help nails. I asked if they could do it and alter the colors in the design and they said No problem. A young man did my nails and did an excellent job, I love the shape. Ana, I believe, did my designs and it came out fantastic. The staff is very friendly, they pay great attention to detail, and worked extremely hard to accommodate their customers. These people, under the leadership of Anna, who has another location across the street from the mall next to AC Moore, has cultivated a culture of money grubbing. these people are after your money, not after making relationships or good friends who would recommend them. Please don't let them fool you. Go see Tony in Exeter or patronize the local businesses in West Reading....don't go to people who are piranhas. please go help the businesses who actually contribute to the character of the community. (ANNA nails couldn't understand what i wanted and still made me pay after not finishing a manicure, and actually called security when I insisted that I shouldn't pay because they didn't deliver any services...and sadly, some of the customers who are low on the socio-economic stratum agreed with the owners that I should have paid...so this is a sad testament to Reading folk in general...they don't even know how to stand up for their fellow citizens. I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and gel nails for the past 3 yrs. The first time I went there the gel polish started peeling from the bottom up on 5 nails after a week - I had to glue them down. Still I decided to go back one more time. They left my nails soaking for so long because they kept taking new customers without finishing the ones they were already working on that I peeled the remains of the polish off myself. He then proceeded to file my nails down so thin that 2 of my nails hurt - still! They are so paper thin right now I don't know what I'm going to do. Anna Nails is AWESOME! I went there out of pure convenience, as I work in the area. I was not disappointed. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and waited less than 5 minutes. I needed an acrylic refill with gel polish. My current set (not from Anna's) looked to "thick" and "wide" at the top--overall, just too fake. I explained the look I was going for and Michael nailed it! (No pun intended). I did receive one of their membership cards--it's a great program that allows for a free nail service after 10 paid services. I only paid $20 for the refill w/ gel polish.
