He made a suggestion to take all the diamonds out and scrap the rest of the necklace, which has significant gold weight, so I did just that! I picked out a diamond eternity band that I've had my eye at Argyle for about two years and with the high price of gold, I got the new ring in trade plus cash too! I went back again today, after he took out all the diamonds, and he spent nearly an hour with me to make 2 perfectly matching stacking diamond eternity bands to go on either side of the ring that I purchased the day before. And even though he has a very active business to run, we sat and chatted for several more minutes about our daughters and similar circumstances. A very pleasant experience.
