SHE THEN DECIDED TO CONTACT ME FROM ANOTHER NUMBER. THIS HAS GONE ON FOR 3 WEEKS NOW I wanted to like Anna as she comes off as sweet and does a decent job with waxing. But as they say you get what you pay for. When I tried to reschedule the day before due to having my car under maintenance (I even sent her proof of my receipt) she said she would take my deposit and charge me extra for a different day. She sent me her policy which you can see clearly states below nothing regarding rescheduling prior to your apt day. She then argued with me, updated her policy and blamed me for messing with her income. This is not only unprofessional but distasteful. Anna continued to tell me that I shouldn't be canceling (which I wasn't doing) because it hurts her business. After I told her I won't be coming back she doesn't get the clue and will continue to harass you. I've never experienced anything like this from a business provider before. I also worked in customer service my entire life. I hope Anna can get a grip and learn how to run her business with more professionalism. I said, "Maybe next time." At first. 3. I never said that I expected anything to be painless-period. 4. You seem determined to try to argue with everyone who doesn't give you a perfect review. She gave me all the information I needed in a concise way, and everything was good. The only part was, on the Yelp app, there was an area where you could enter info about your needs and anything you want the tech to know. I spent some time carefully writing up a summary, but ultimately told that she's busy and doesn't read them. 4/5 Location - Her business is run out of her home, which didn't matter to me because everything was handled professionally in terms of service location. I had no major issues parking, but this definitely by appointment only. Previous customer took forever to leave the driveway once they got in the car, so that was kind of awkward since I was told to only park in the driveway. It's not her fault, though. 5/5 Anna's Salon - Everything appeared clean. It was relatively quiet. 5/5 Friendliness - She was nice through the encounter/service. Offering water, too, at the end. 3/5 Service (overall)- I wasn't looking to get a facial going into this service, but that's partly my fault I should not have caved. I felt like I was pressured into this tbh. I only meant to spend the quoted $40 (not including tip) and ended up spending $120 (not including tip), which I did, despite how I felt at the end. I felt a bit bamboozled, but I took responsibility for my part. 3/5 communication (during service)- I blame BOTH of us because at the end of the day, I am an adult and take responsibility for the fact that I shouldn't have ended up giving in. That being said, Anna really pressured the facial service, telling me and pointing out all the things wrong with my face while waxing, which was already painful. I think part me just wanted it to stop, and I did tell her when it was hurting, but I was told repeatedly my skin wasn't red, so I was ok...I wish she would have listened to me more when I expressed pain. 1/5 service (pain level) - It was one of the worst expereinced I've had when it comes to waxing and facials. There were extractions and some kind of burning involved. I fully understand and did warn her about the length of hair beforehand. But in my years of salon going, it usually longer hurts less, not more. However, the pain was, while it was happening, nothing residual so far. I initially came to Anna because of all the glowing reviews for pain-free(ish) waxing. I have been waxing for decades and have had more than one facial at a salon, so I did have prior experience in these services before coming here. The screenshot says it all. There are ways to talk to clients but she doesn't know how to which is why she has these negative reviews. Would give it 0 starts if I could. BEWARE!!! I was looking for a waxing specialist and I naively looked at Anna's overall rating of 4.5 stars. I should have read all of the (negative) reviews as I now know that they are completely true. I contacted Anna late on a Friday evening and asked her about waxing services. She chose to respond in spite of the hour and I made an appointment for Monday afternoon. I should have been suspicious as I had to Zelle her money upfront and I chose to pay the full cost to get it taken care of. Early Saturday, my medical provider had a cancellation and I was able to get in on the same day as my appointment with Anna. I notified Anna that I had to cancel with her. This was over 48 hours before the appointment with her. I thought this would be fine since her website states she only charges for cancellations made the day of your appointment. I felt bad but explained that it was unavoidable. She begged me to go another day, and I told her I had to work, so a cancellation was necessary. Well...Anna went sideways! She proceeded to insult me via text and tell me that I was not nice and my mind was not stable. Quoting her she said, "Your mind not stable. Don't wasting my time". I asked her to please not insult me or be mean and she responded, " U the mean person not me". She also tried to tell me that from late Friday night to early Saturday morning she bought wax just for me and now she was out the money. Doesn't make sense because if she did buy supplies (that she doesn't have on hand as a legitimate business) why can't she use them on another customer? Because she was so mean, I simply asked her for a refund. She made another insulting comment and said she would issue a refund "when she had time". Today, I received a refund and the accompanying text notification from Zelle. Her note in the refund stated "Refund to _________ with reason her mind not stable". Wow! I tried to find a way to report this business to Yelp but I learned you can only report inappropriate comments or reviews. Unfortunately I have to write a review for someone I have never met, but I feel it is my duty to let others know how bad of a business this is. If I can give it NO STARS, I would. I made an appt around 1am to come in at 4:30 pm today but unfortunately needed to cancel because of course things happen. I texted Anna to cancel the $35 deposit I made and I was thinking of just rescheduling it another day. But she said she has a policy that if cancelled the same day, you pay penalty fee. When booking for the appt online, I NEVER saw this policy. I tried to call to make it right but she didn't respond. I read some of the reviews and some people made a note that when they tried to cancel Anna said that on the website she had the policy stated on there even though they didn't see and all of a sudden the page was updated! So I then took screen shots of every page so I have proof that the cancellation policy is not on there. Finally, Anna texted me and said she can't call because she is "busy" in the morning and sends me screenshot of her website WITH cancellation policy. But I know what happened here. She couldn't call because she was too busy updating her website. I will just attach all our txt messages here and you be the judge. DO NOT BE FOOLED by this woman. Really is sad... *update: She sends me a video of walking her dogs and "too busy" to update her website. LADY, I HAVE SCREENSHOTS OF YOUR WEBSITE and THE CANCELLATION POLICY WAS NEVER THERE. I had an amazing microneedling session with Anna. She is very kind, caring and professional. The room was clean and it was a pleasant experience. Microneedling is definitely not completely painless even with numbing cream, but the benefit your skin gets from it is 100% worth it (as it also helps to stimulate collagen production).
