Looking for beautiful lashes and a much healthier alternative to lash extensions? Look no more! I've been going to Erica for several years now to get the YUMI Lash Lift. I've tried this with 3 other aestheticians prior -- one had recommended Erica while she was traveling and the other two I never went back to because the results were mediocre and one even caused my lashes to crinkle (!!!). Btw if you don't know what a lash lift is, it's like a push-up bra for your lashes. The treatment uses chemicals to lift and curl your lashes and can last from 6-8 weeks. Because there are chemicals, it's important you go to a reputable and knowledge person that understands how to adjust the process according to your lashes to avoid damaging / over processing. Plus the treatment Erica uses has keratin which is less damaging! Although I live almost an hour drive away from Erica, I religiously drive to see her every 6-8 weeks to get my straight Asian lashes lifted. Erica is super meticulous and will get every lash (including the baby ones on the corners) lifted beautifully! I always come out feeling like a million bucks and can get away with not putting on makeup every day which saves so much time. Tl;dr I LOVE the results of getting my lashes lifted with Erica, and trust Erica 150% with my lashes!! Also, recommend doing a growth lash serum every day (like Rodan & Fields which I find works really and saw results after 2 months) to lengthen your lashes. I use this in conjunction with the YUMI Keratin lash serum Erica sells to strengthen my lashes so I can maintain healthy and beautiful lashes! read more

Hush Wax and Erica are absolutely wonderful for "muff" maintenance. The studio is in a small business park, which I love because it's not a hugely busy parking lot. That said, parking fills quickly, but there is parking in short walking distance on side streets. It's a pretty walk too, so I don't mind. The studio is so cute inside, and very calming/relaxing. She will come and get you, give you privacy to prep for your wax. A cleansing cloth and some spray to prep your skin. The table is soft and the room is private and clean. Erica made me feel much more comfortable than past experiences, which I think is worth mentioning for shy or anxious people. I've been twice now and I honestly have zero need to go elsewhere. She's also one of the most painless waxes I've ever had. She some how simultaneously does a quick job but takes her time? Hehe. You can tell she's not rushing whatsoever, but it's over before you know it. And she's great at what she does. The prices are totally reasonable for the quality. The appointments are easy to book and punctual. Also worth touching on, because I always searched around in the past in reviews but couldn't find anyone mention it: as a plus sized woman, waxing can be a bit more challenging if you don't feel comfortable with someone. I go to her religiously every 3 weeks for long time. I've never once had irritation, burnt skin or any reaction whatsoever. I trust that so much that I added to my service upper lip and eyebrows! I just looked at some other reviews here on Yelp that have mentioned her lack of respect for people and I can say it is definitely true. She has no respect. It's really sad to know that what happened to me has happened to other people, because when I am not treated well I like to think that the person was just having a bad day. That is clearly not the case since other people are complaining as well. This place offers a mediocre service and it has a really bad vibe inside, probably created by the owner's attitude. Found Erica through a Groupon deal. I've been to European Wax Center (EWC) before, and Erica, who runs Hush by herself did a way better job than even the best waxer I had at EWC on Coleman. Erica provided a clean environment, was professional, and most importantly, I did not walk out feeling like my girly parts were dragged across a carpet and bursted into flames afterwards. She did not rush and worked in smaller, multiple sections, which I felt was the main difference between Hush and EWC, who tries to get all of it in larger, fewer wax strips--probably to save wax and time. Went here a couple of years ago for my first wax and will never go anywhere else. Erica is so down to earth, calm and will answer any questions if you have any. Here are some things that I really like about her Brazilian service: - thorough (determined to get the ingrown hairs!) - not as painful - smooth removal (not sure if this is the correct term but, I've experience terrible service where the waxer jerked at the strip, so SO painful.. I should have known not to go here for a lash perm because this place service is more for waxing. I went for a lash perm in August and it didn't take. Jenny was very sweet and I can tell she felt bad about it. After all, it's not cheap! She asked I go back in for a touch up. This time she had another person help her because it seems like Jenny was just learning how to perm lashes. Again, my lashes looked good the first day but then it flattened. Jenny was so so sweet that she ask I go see Erica who has had more experience with lash perms. Erica strictly does waxing now so I'm not sure how long she was doing lash perms. She looked at my lashes and told me she can perm it again and think it will take by lifting the lashes a certain way. She said I would have to pay for it but will check if it would be the rate of going in for a touch up. First I was shocked that I would even have to pay anything. As of the today, I still have not heard back from Erica. During that time, I found out my father had cancer so I never got back with Erica but still, I would expect HUSH to take the lead in getting back to me since I'm the customer. I've never written reviews so this is my first time. I've been contemplating of writing this since it's just not what I do. So this was my first time getting a Brazilian wax and I was really nervous initially, so nervous that I've canceled appointments at other establishments before.
