Son didn't listen when I said use woman only. Amazingly crowded for a Monday afternoon and I was waiting for him in a hot car. Result horrible. He went in for a haircut and a shave. Came out with a lousy very short crew cut with longer hairs sticking out. The result of the shave was a five o clock shadow minutes after it was done. What a waste of forty five dollars. If you go wait for the woman or come back another day. She has previously done a very nice job. read more

I don't want to hurt a small business, but I felt like my experience was unacceptable. The lady is fantastic and have had 2 great cuts from her, but the gentleman was... not the same high level of care. The previous customer was being brushed off with some sort of hard hair brush like horse w/e and without cleaning it this brush was used on my face. It had the previous customers hair and dirt from the clothes still in it.... The cut itself was not at all what I asked for and without exposing my identity.. it was worse than the $5 student haircuts you get at the haircut school. It felt like Edward Scissorhands jab cutting my hair with no rhyme or reason. I suppose this was his attempt at layering but it was like I asked for a punk rock hair style (I did not). I guess my confusion is... I showed him pictures on my phone what hairstyle I was going for. He repeated back the cut... but that's not what ended up happening. I could tell the shears were dull and the end of the scissor did poke my forehead and thankfully did not bleed. I was also surprised he did not try to blow out the hair he had cut from my head. So it was up to me to either go home and take a shower or deal with hair clippings fall out all day. The lady does a straight edge hot shave. The gentlemen just uses an electric trimmer. I still tipped 20% but I ask for the lady or don't bother coming. My friends are legit laughing at how bad the haircut looks. I have very mixed feelings about this review because I want them to succeed, but at the end of this day this is a barbershop and maybe it's my fault for not understanding what they do best. If you're looking for a standard standard men's haircut this is an affordable option. read more

I've been coming here for about 20 years, and this review is overdue. The team is friendly, and warm. I feel like I'm going to see friends when I stop in. The cuts are amazing. They take their time, get it right, and really care about the work that they do. As barbers go, I'd tell ya that they err on the side of shorter (I prefer that, and most barber shops are going to err short too), so maybe a good thing to know going in, depending on where you're at in your hair journey. ;) read more

When I first moved to Annandale, this was the first place to pop up on my google search. The older Asian man did an okay job at cutting my mullet. He did not know what a mullet was and cut off hair on the back that I specified should not be touched. Yesterday, he was upset when we arrived (he hates to even let me comb his hair), but she calmed him down and he got through the haircut with no tears. I called ahead of time to make sure that we didn't require an appointment, as we've run into some locations stating appt. needed due to COVID. Well, when you have a toddler its when you get an opportunity. I was pleasantly surprised to have such friendly staff welcome my son and I the minute we entered. The second,my son saw the car you get to sit on while getting your haircut he was eager to get his haircut. My sons haircut looked great and actually resembled the picture. I was extremely pleased with the level of service and the results. Hand sanitizer at the front entrance; ensuring people wear masks and disinfect in between customers. I will add however, they only take cash to my surprise. I would really recommend you trying it out specially if you have little ones. read more

They cut my hair perfectly every time. They offer cold water to their clientele and they are always ready to strike up a conversation. I was looking for a local barber shop today, so I found Annandale Barber Shop and went in for a hair cut. They are all very friendly polite and offer really good customer service! The barber did a pretty good job and the price was $ 16.00 plus tip. I'm pretty sure I'll go back again! I tried another barber shop in Falls Church City right next to Paisanos..the two Asian ladies were not very friendly at all, hardly spoke to me, they acted like they were doing me a big favor..will never go back there. After sampling several barber shops/hair cut places....I have found my barber shop. I have been twice now and got a great cut, for a good price, by friendly folks. Their hours are great. I learned that they have recently remodeled and the interior is very clean. I can never remember which blade # I need so I really appreciate the fact that all I have to do is confirm that I want the same style but shorter. Both times the barber nailed it. All of the barbers give a great cut, but Trina knows how I like to style my hair. Asked for a #1.5 cut, but by the time the barber got done with the "taper" in the back, the entire cut looks like it was done without a guard. way too shor.t.
