Their shtick is the standard "Whose Line?" game play with the audience - picking topics and keywords / using crowd interaction to try for comedic effect. Maybe they were having an off night, or maybe I was expecting more based on other reviews here, but they didn't knock my socks off, nor did they really rock the other three people I was with. Tickets were $17.50 each. I'd be interested in seeing them again maybe in an online video to see if they have a better laugh factor than I caught during my live visit. Long story short, I was disappointed, and wouldn't recommend them based on my experience.

My husband and I love the fact that going to a Free Range Show is an evening guaranteed to be hilarious and unique. The show is interactive and the performers professionals. They perform at multiple venues at multiple times so it is not difficult to find a show time that fits into a busy schedule. Believe me, it is worth fitting a show in. The tickets are affordable and easily accessible through their website. Once you go, you will want to go over and over just to see what they can come up with. Because the content is based completely on audience suggestions (and sometimes the audience members even go up on stage and become part of the action!) no show is the same as the last. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I need more stars.

The bathroom near the front which is open to the public walking through the lobby isn't quite as filthy but the one inside the theater is a disaster more often than not. I'm tired of walking in baby steps for fear of slipping and falling on my rear. My rating would be significantly higher if this theater could do the bare minimum in keeping the bathrooms clean (my wife told me that the ladies' room is bad too).

Not bad for $15 per person They don't offer any discounts not even military.. You walk up the paved walkway purchase your ticket ($15pp), I think under 6 is free but don't quote me on that. And you wait in line. We waited about 45mins before our group of roughly 20 went into the Haunted Barn walked down a lil hill to the mini maze, and we all loaded up in the trailer for the hayride. Please dress for the occasion, it was 43 degrees out and they don't have space heaters outdoors or fire pits etc to keep you toasty wok you wait. Although a fire pit and selling s'mores kit would've been another selling point. They did have apple cider, canned sodas chips candy and popcorn for sale. I'd suggest pack your own snacks and drinks. Oh and they had glow sticks for the kids. Organization could've been a bit better, lighting to the restroom would've been nice and more scary props. And that god awful smoky smell from the fog machine or whatever was horrendous like old fireworks just bad.

Look no further than Venus Theatre - located in Laurel MD off of Main Street. At Venus, Deb Randall, the artistic director, produces quality cutting-edge shows with professional actors and actresses. Deb is crazy creative and intelligent; you might like the "out of the box" way that she directs the plays. I saw Homokay's Medea here and she had the maid and the gardener from the show giving cookies and punch to the audience; it was a fun show. The seats up front and on the sides are more comfy than the taller seats in the middle, but it is a small theatre, so first come first served. Be sure to get there early! There is a nice concessions table with snacks and drinks just in case you didn't get a chance to eat before the show. I should mention that the restrooms are backstage, so they can't be accessed during the show depending on the stage set-up, so be prepared! Oh, did I mention that the tickets are $20? You can't get into see live theatre, barely a couple of movie tickets for that price around here. Check the website for pay-what-you-can preview days to get a first look at the play in progress. For being a tiny community black-box theater, I was pleasantly surprised. The venue itself has been well-kept, and while the accommodations were a little on the sparse side, it really didn't detract from the show. And speaking of, the show was high-quality, too! Overall, it was a great, fun night out supporting the local community!

We've gone annually for the past 4 years, and it is so much fun every time. The scare actors engage you from the moment you step in line. It's one cohesive, spooky experience. My friend and I got the instant access pass for an extra $25 and to be honest, it was worth every penny. With it being spooky month, we knew it would be jam packed. The line got general admission was ridiculous. The line to express access was better but still pretty long. Instant access allows you to skip the line and go straight to the entrance of the haunted house. The music was too loud to hear the instructions but I guess the gist is, don't run and don't touch the actors. I loved the design and themes of most rooms. Some left a little to be desired. I do wish there were a little more actors and better system of separating the parties. There were quite a few times we were able to see ahead so we knew what was coming. My favorite times were any moment where the actors interacted with the guests, like when we were chased. After the haunted house, you're able to buy merch and take photos. Although we didn't do the escape room, I liked that there was an option to do so this adding to the whole Halloween experience. All in all, I enjoyed my time at the House of Horror. While there could be some improvements with setup, I would still recommend it for others wanting to check out a local haunted house.
