My grand children were visiting from Indiana, so I booked this adventure to give them a chance to get out on the water. What a great time they had! The staff here is so kind, enthusiastic, and great with the kids. The kids enjoyed every minute, and will remember it for a long time. It was money well spent.

This was way worth the trip! Our kids are 7 and 5, and this was right up their alley. The staff does a tremendous job keeping the kids engaged and making them feel included from the get-go. They have several different activities they involve the kids with leading up to the ship and while on the adventure. The staff make it fun, funny, innovative, and embrace the pirate culture. I couldn't think of any suggestions for how it could be better, and I'm typically a highly critical person. This was top notch fun for my kids, and that made it top notch fun for me as a parent.

The crew working were fantastic, you could tell they genuinely enjoy playing pirates and interacting with kids! Loved that it wasn't just a boat ride. Upon arrival they wanted the kids to be involved. They even include face painting.

What an amazing day we had for a 3rd birthday! The staff is incredible and I couldn't speak more highly of them. The day turned out so perfect and our daughter couldn't stop saying "it was the best birthday EVER"! Thank you again Pirate Adventures we sure will be coming back and referring you to all of our friends!

We took our 9 year old nephew on this pirate adventure and he had a blast, it was $28 a person and you had to call to reserve, they knew the kids by name and paid attention to every single one. They kept the kids interested and kept them engaged the entire time, the staff was very friendly and had a positive interaction with all of us. We would definitely come back in the future!

Super fun excursion. Our group ranged from 3 to 9 and all had a good time. The employees... er, pirates, go out of their way to ensure all the kids have a blast. We were the first to arrive and the kids had their choice of outfits before getting tattoos. The littlest was more adventurous with her outfit while the older kids were more adventurous with their pirate and mermaid tattoos. The banter with the pirate cast was very funny. Swell was our pirate guide and she was great. She catered to every kid from the youngest to the oldest, and made sure they were all having a good time, and focused on helping with the missions. The music on the boat was aligned to the story in a fun way. The kids were busy the whole time. The kids favorite part was shooting Pirate Pete with the water cannons. I believe they were playing Metallica Enter Sandman during the attack. They also liked sampling the Grog and checking out the treasure! I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone in Annapolis. It's rough to entertain a 3 yo and an almost 10 yo at the same time and they were engaged the whole time.

Our family was looking to jump start our long weekend in Annapolis and I can't recommend this excursion more. The Pirates crew was super engaging and called our 2 yo and 4 yo by their first names the entire trip. Our two kids were completely captivated by the treasure hunt which even left many of the adults bewildered and asking "how'd they do that?!" Don't pass this up on your next family trip to Annapolis!!

On 8 May 1999 I heard advertisements for The Joker's Jinx . I remember I didn't like the ads for the ride, but I knew I would certainly ride this ride. The day I went to the park, I rode many rides, because I know the line for this ride would be long no matter what time I went. When I finally arrived to the ride, the line was long, but there were refreshments for those in line. The lemonade hit the spot and I had plenty of time before I rode the ride to get the fluid into my system. When I saw the paint job for the Joker, I never thought emerald green and purple went well together, BUT THEY DO. Oh, I was young back then. I even bought a Joker's Jinx tee shirt. At that time I wore a large tee shirt. I don't remember what happened to the shirt, but I know I through...no...I believe I gave it to good will. When I finally got to the gated area, you had to pass by several mirrors that made you look distorted. For my first experience I went straight to the back where I had to wait a little longer. Why, because the rear is tighter? Because I like it in the rear? Or because the rear of the car is the fastest. This answer is the best answer. The front is the slowest, but the rear end gets pushed forwards because of the force of the front of the car. The middle seats are a natural point. In this case since it is a blast coaster it pretty much doesn't matter until you feel the rear end of the car moving faster from the pulling of the rest of the cars. The spiraling looks to the side way turns make this rollercoaster a lot of fun. Listening to one of the operator say "Hands Up, hands up, I wanna see your hands." Once everyone's hands were up, he would hit the go button and everyone in the coaster cars would shoot forwards. I would love to say The Joker's Jinx started the blast coasters craze, but it wouldn't be true. Still, I had a lot of fun. This ride is a steel ride and steel rides have been know to be smoother than the wooden rollercoasters. I wouldn't mind going on this ride again. I would call this a high thrill ride.

You purchase the tickets, socks, and then afterwards they ask you to fill out a waiver. Socks: the socks are nearly just regular socks. They have one slightly grippy section. THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD OF QUALITY AS THE TRAMPOLINE GYM SOCKS. You can just wear your regular socks. Staff: the staff were nice and accommodating. There was water getting into one of the bounce areas. I asked a staff member to check it out and they came to investigate the problem. Explanation: You first enter and check in, and grab your socks, (and your wristbands if you're VIP). There's an area to place your shoes in the cubbies. Then you can bounce away. It's a continuous bounce house with several exits. There's slides, jousting, climbing, etc. Food: they have $6 snowballs where you can pick your own syrup. Waters were $2. Ask for your receipt. I think they up charged me. Overall, it was a fun attraction but I think I'd only be willing to pay the opening special tickets. Some of the bounce areas were deflating, then the water in the random corner, and also the attractions had a strange musty smell in some areas (I think they need to improve their water drying protocols). I think they can also improve their training of staff. One of the staff members using the card machine did not know how to work it. They can also improve their sanitation of the snowball stations and bounce areas.

If you want to physically challenge yourself or you like heights - they have courses for that as well. Safety wasn't a concern as there is an orientation video and then a practice course on the ground so you can repeatedly go through the process of locking on to a line and moving from line to line. I mean my niece did the practice course once and was off into the trees with out issue. There is a nice picnic area with tables so you could easily pack a lunch or snacks and make a day of it. 11/1/19 The greatest…read morelog ride I have been on. This ride did something I have never seen another log ride do.  This ride (before they changed it) started out going forwards.  Then part way through you went up a medium size hill and the boat rotated 180 degrees.  You then went down the second part of the ride backwards.  The best part of going backwards on this ride is this...YOU CAN SEE WHERE YOU'VE BEEN. Remember the words of Willy Wonka "Willy Wonka there's no earthly way of knowing which direction you are going." Well this is true and it was a lot more fun. Going up the last part of the hill in the head of Skull Mountain gave you the feeling of being in trouble. When you got to the top, the boat you were in did another 180 before you flew down the hill out of the Skull's mouth and into the river of spewage. You may notice the water is clear.   There was on one occasion the 180 degree machine at the end of the ride malfunctioned and some lucky riders got to go down the final hill backwards. My mind says I did once, but I think that is a bunch of bullocks. The wait time for this ride on a hot day could be two hours or more. Once again Six Flag associates would stand by this ride selling drinks and food. I saw this bit of information about Skull Mountain's closing. I was there during the last 14 days it would be open two different times. "Six Flags America has revealed that it will close the Skull Mountain water ride on July 10, 2011, in order to make room for a new attraction that will open in 2012. The closure of the hybrid water ride/rollercoaster is set to be marked by a number of special events at the park. On June 13, a boat will be placed on Six Flags America's midway to offer unique photo opportunities for guests. Then, on July 9 and 10, Skull Mountain's demise will be commemorated as part of a special "Fare-thee-Well Weekend", including a two-day Pirate Festival. This will feature pirate makeovers and special entertainment from the cast of The Blundering Buccaneers stunt show. Those wishing to be one of the last ever riders on Skull Mountain can enter a special auction, with proceeds benefitting the Natioal Rollercoaster Museum and Archive. The park will also donate a boat from the ride to the museum following its closure. Speaking of the ride, Six Flags America's Park President John Winkler said: "For more than a decade, guests at Six Flags America have been thrilled and inspired by Skull Mountain, giving them the feeling of joining a one-of-a-kind pirates' voyage in Maryland's favorite theme park. It's a piece of history for Six Flags America and we feel it's fitting to give it one last stand." Skull Mountain opened at Six Flags America in 1997, and was originally named the Typhoon Sea Coaster. An Intamin reversing boat ride, it received its new name when it underwent a major update in 2007. A first-of-its-kind attraction, it was the tallest water-powered coaster in the world when it opened. No details have been revealed of the planned replacement for Skull Mountain, though it has been widely rumored that a new rollercoaster will open at Six Flags America in 2012." Yes, there is a new rollercoaster that took the place of Skull Mountain.  I did not care for this ride myself, but I will write about that later on.  I am just glad part of Skull Mountain is still left.  The last time I was there,  it was till up.I don't  think they took it down.  Well, at least I have the memories of riding it before it went the way of the dodo. I think people that don't like rollercoasters much or at all, might enjoy this ride, but now we will never know. I rate this ride a five, but if I could go higher, it would be a 12.

The front desk staff who sold us our tickets were not very friendly, and although we saw a couple of staff members inside, they didn't engage with guests at all. When you asked questions they acted like we were bothering them. I had read online that this was a good place for toddlers, but we didn't even stay for an hour. The toddler Duplo area was small and many of the pieces were missing, which made it hard for kids to really play. The ride was also a bit scary for our 3-year-old. We didn't experience the movie or Bank game (both geared towards an older age). There was a small indoor play area, but it also seemed better suited for slightly older kids. My son stayed on that for 5 minutes since we couldn't guide him through (children only). Overall, I think this attraction would be much more enjoyable for kids around ages 5-7. Stars were knocked off due to the staff.
