The bathrooms here are absolutely filthy. I have never seen such bad restrooms in a business in my life. My first two visits I thought it was a fluke and a super busy weekend but I am noticing the same hairs and stains from my visit last month. Half the chairs don't seem to work in the recliners and the ones that work are janky. I hate to guess what the kitchen looks like if this is how they maintain their restrooms. read more

Do not purchase tickets on the AMC app. They will charge you an extra $5.50 service fee and if you make a mistake and purchase tickets for the wrong day they will keep that 5.50 service fee and charge you another 5.50 service fee for another purchase. I called the manager at this location thinking she would comp me the 5.50 with a free popcorn or something. She did nothing. Do not use the app buy tickets there. read more

I don't understand why no matter when I go to this theater the men's room floor is covering with water. The bathroom near the front which is open to the public walking through the lobby isn't quite as filthy but the one inside the theater is a disaster more often than not. I'm tired of walking in baby steps for fear of slipping and falling on my rear. My rating would be significantly higher if this theater could do the bare minimum in keeping the bathrooms clean (my wife told me that the ladies' room is bad too). read more

I paid $52 for 2 tickets so maybe I'm expecting more. 1st off the recliner seats only recline part way. So it feels like an airplane seat. All the pressure is on the tailbone and the headrest is too thick so your head is pushed forward. Very uncomfortable. Your feet are elevated only half way so you feel like you're sliding down all the time. It appears that they installed recliners but didn't add more room per row so that they could fully recline. Even worse than the uncomfortable seats was the fact that the heat was blasting. I was sweating and it got hotter as the movie went on. I should've got up and left but I kept thinking it would cool off. 3 couple left throughout the movie. When it ended I told the lady at the kiosk and she said "I know I know". She was told that several times I guess. Sound was good that's about all he only positive. Just as soon watch a movie at home. read more

Went to the movies Friday afternoon and had one of those customer service experiences that makes you pause for a second or five. There was no one in line at concessions, so two employees were having a grand time socializing. When the young lady finally came to the register, there was no greeting at all. Interesting how one can be friendly toward their co-worker but lack customer service for the job they are being compensated for. I actually greeted her first and jokingly said something like, "The roles seem reversed," but I don't think she understood what I meant. Since when did greeting customers become optional? And why should customers feel like they're inconveniencing employees simply because they'd rather continue chatting with coworkers? Basic courtesy and acknowledgment still matter. We came to watch the moana movie, i got my 5 tickets, then 20 minutes after i went to the girl who receives the tickets, she saw my ticket and she didn't told me what sit supposed to be mine (i knew it was E1-5) so she just told me the number of the room, so i went and then 10 mns after i was in my sit and a girl came to tell me that my sits were her sits (she got her tickts) but the machine didn't gave me the number of the sits, it was just the food that i got and how many tickets i got, aswell the girl in the door didn't told me about it, they finally gave me sits in the front of the screen (they figured out at the end a way to fix it) cs the guy told me that it was the only ones that he had in that moment, bad review cs they're oversolding the tickets, the machine didn't gave me the ticket with the number of my sits it was all together in the receipt, it was a bad experience, with the sistem and employer, cs just the cashier was exceptional, kind girl read more

We frequently come to the Annapolis AMC theaters in the mall, and we really don't have any issues. After spending almost $70 for two tickets and food prior to the movies, we came to the movie theater expecting that our food will be ready in 20 minutes that they informed us in the app. Getting the tickets were really easy, trying to get the food and the drinks was not. The attendant was really nice, but when we asked where our food order was at, she asked for our name and gave it and then she told us that there was no order. We informed her that to we order in the car 10 minutes prior to arriving and just expected to wait another 10 minutes for the food. So she informed us that there was no order again. We were kind of confused because we already had spent money on the food. So now we are very curious where our food was, even though they had our money already. She went to the back to talk to the manager and at this time we were waiting for an alcoholic drink the manager came out to service the alcoholic drink. He did not address the non order of food, yet before I share about the food issue, he asks me for my drink order. I ordered a Stella beer and tried to use my earned five dollars off for the drink for being an AMC member. He scanned the app and then told me , that he forgot that we can't use the five dollars off for the alcoholic drink. I told him that that would've been a nice to know prior as we could have added the $5 discount to our food order. He said sorry and I said it's OK, I appreciated the information. I explained that we ordered food but when we arrived, we were informed by the nice attendant that there was no food order even though we had a receipt of ordering the food 10 minutes prior. He apologized for not addressing the food issue and informed us that they would put the order in and that it would be up in the next 10 minutes. So at this point, I'm a little perturbed at the fact that we've paid for almost $50 worth of food and drinks and we don't have it, as of yet. In the time the manager shared that we can grab our candy and while doing that the food came out. We checked to make sure everything was good. The nice attendant was able to half my popcorn so I could put butter on it and the popcorn was nice and hot. The food was hot and fresh. The manager did not offer us anything in spite of what we had gone through with prepaying for our food items , the items not being available at the time permitted. We would have appreciated if the manager would have honored the five dollars off of something, but we decided not to address the concern any further because our movie had already started. As an AMC member and for the future , if AMC is wanting us to use the app to pre-pay for ticket convenience to order food for convenience, then the location should be able to fulfill the requirements and honor the pre-payment so that the order is prepared and ready based on the time that they shared. As always, our venue was very clean and our two end seats worked as they were electronic recliners. We had flatbread pizza and cinnamon sugar pretzel bites . They were good and also hot and we had a slushy that was mixed. Overall, the location is nice, but the customer service may need a little support. read more

Since my last review, I have come back to this theater a few times and, during my last visit, I was fortunate enough to experience their recently renovated premium format auditorium. They recently upgraded to a Dolby theater which has new projection, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and a brand new projector (no more mystery bars on the screen -- yayyyyy). This made for a beautiful viewing experience and is a *vast* improvement to the screen that was there previously which hadn't been upgraded in probably at least 10 years. Aside from the new sound and projection, this auditorium also received a seating upgrade with the new premium Dolby seats which are HEATED. Granted, these upgrades come with a premium priced ticket so I could see the argument could be made it's not worth it, but, for someone like me who actively seeks out stuff like Dolby or IMAX, this made me really happy. Why not 5 stars? While the customer service has greatly improved over the last few months, I do find there could be better monitoring of the screenings as disruptions are still an issue at this theater (mostly people on their phones and talking). I get there's only so much that can be done, but it still gets annoying and it's prevalent enough that the notion of driving 40 mins to DC to see movies at the Alamo doesn't scare me anymore. read more

This is an exceptional theater, probably the best in the area! Power reclining seats, large cup holder, swing-out snack tray, very spacious and comfy seats, and a non-crowded experience... it's very cozy, almost like tucking in on your couch at home! We need to address the elephant in the room: the prices. Yes, there's inflation. Yes, prices go up. Yes, there was a major pandemic that closed movie theaters for a long time. But, there has to be a line, bro! Evening ticket prices are $24 per adult, $20 per child. I mean... huh? Three of us cost $68 just for tickets. You might think, "Okay, so, they're finally charging correct prices for the movie, so now the concession prices will normalize, right?" Ha ha ha... no. Freestyle Coke: $7. ICEE: $7.50. Smallest popcorn: $9.50. Hot Dog: $7.50. Cheese sauce: $2. Candy: $6. Again, I know there's a movie markup, since that's where all theaters used to make any money (since they didn't make a dime off the pictures themselves). But, still! A night out with the family (of three!) cost $100. That's... There's still no question why streaming services are killing the movie theater businesses, right? Anyway, despite the cost, this really is a great theater. And honestly the staff have usually been pretty nice to deal with. The individual theaters are always cleaned thoroughly between shows, though the main lobby and other main areas are hit-or-miss. Depends on how busy they are. But, for the most part, they do their best to keep the place looking nice. Overall, it's a great place to catch a flick, just be ready to spend a bit to do so. read more

I love that this location is on top of the mall; meaning when/if you want something after or before your movie, right below - an escalator ride down, is an entire food court with options ranging from a burger at Five Guys, to chicken from CFA and hibachi from Wok. read more

Plus easy to get to parking is not a hassle and you don't have to walk far from your vehicle. This is a nice theater...if you want to pay $16 a ticket for a blockbuster. Good location, and comfortable seating. But the tickets are so expensive, and their film options are really quite limited. They only seem to play the blockbuster type films, anything else either doesn't get played or gets a limited run. They also have a habit of advertising special events (Fathom events etc.) and then not showing the film advertised. Customer service is halfhearted most of the time. And the rewards system is a joke. Spend almost $1,000 and get $5 off your next ticket! To get any decent perks, you have to see 3-4 movies per week (and not have a life apparently). So if you don't mind spending a lot to see the latest Hollywood money-maker with recliners and a massive screen, this is the place for you. But if you have slightly wider cinematic taste, and actually want to feel appreciated as a customer instead of a walking piggy bank, I'd look elsewhere. (I miss the days when Bow Tie Cinemas was here. The same comfort and big screen experience, but with a really nice rewards program and a much wider range of films being shown.) read more

The only reason I am dinging the movie theater is because it was cold halfway into the movie. When we first sat down the temperature was comfy, it was not long until I had to break out my sweater. I have recently discovered the best seating.....not sharing. I found this theater to be clean and well maintained. It was not overly crowded either. We went in the middle of the day on a Saturday. The staff behind the counter was fast and efficient. I would definitely recommend this location. read more

We already liked this AMC but the recently remodeled Cinema 1 is gorgeous! We just watched Dune Part 2 and what a fantastic film for this Dolby format! It's almost a bit loud for those with sensitive hearing but the seats actually shake with thunderous sound at times! It's wild and impressive and definitely worthwhile for the right film. The seats, as others have mentioned are even heated. Customer service has stepped up, and this location remains busy and is still amongst our favorite AMCs in the area. read more

My daughter (15), husband and I all went to see the Superman movie today. The movie was great, however, the theater volume was dangerously loud. Despite both my husband and I complaining separately, nothing was done about it. We measured the volume at over 100 dB several times the average was over 90. We understand that movies are supposed to be loud, but it was the point where our ears were hurting, and we were covering them much of the movie. Theater should be more responsive to consumer complaints about this. It would make a more enjoyable experience. read more

Half way thru my movie I witnessed children being abused in the bathroom, called the police, reported it to the manager and she would not allow police to come in and speak to the woman who abused the kids. I told police exactly what theater she ran into and a description. A AMC employee was in the bathroom at the same time and heard/saw the same things as me. She told the police she co-signed my allegations and still, the manager Melissa Austin would not allow police to speak to the lady abusing 6 year old kids. She smugly smiled at me as I pleaded with police to go check on the kids, 3 kids around 6 years old. The police took my ID and supposedly a report. Once I became upset that they would not do anything about the situation the police told ME that I'm causing a scene and made me leave the theater. AMC is a disgusting place!!!! It was a horrible service experience overall! Ive been to a lot of AMC theaters and I never thought I would find the worst one. I normally don't buy food because the prices are ridiculous but it was a date night and I wanted to treat my hubby! First of all we decided to use the express food on the app 30 mins before the movie started so our order would be done and we got there 5 mins late the food wasn't ready. We got 10$mac and cheese bites it was only 7 in there and tasted old. The 7$ curly fries only had 10 curly fries and the fact I could count them is a problem. 9$ Parmesan bread bites that were hard like they were just sitting there for a long time and nun came hot. First and last 40$ spent on theater food. I don't recommend getting no snacks if you choose this theater and the reclining seats don't even go back that far. Overall I would give it a 0 but I'll settle for 1 star! read more

I went to see the Equalizer 3 ! I've never been to the movie theaters here before! I love that everything's in large print /letters/numbers because I have retinopathy of prematurity so I'm blind in one of my eyes. It helps so much so I won't have to quint or ask for help! ...I love that they have ppl with disabilities working at the ticket station ( I'm a Teacher/Advocate so it warms my heart ). This is a niiice spacious theatre, it's not elbow to elbow seating , the seats recline, the popcorns fresh!! It takes forever for those chicken tenders, the hot Dogs are bun size and good! seemingly because My date crushed his!.. I love that it's very clean!! From the bathrooms to the theatre's themselves you're NOT walking into stickiness coming in to sit or out upon exit!! I looove the remodeling because you can go downstairs from the theater to the remodeled inside of new eateries and Seating which is a Lovely touch!!!! So I'd definitely come back to this movie there for sure!! read more

Biggest problem is lack of selection. The theater will have 10 empty showings per day of Minions or DC League of Super Pets, but can't spare a single theater for some cool indie releases or special event re-releases. They didn't offer a showing of the recent Jaws, Rogue One or Avatar re-releases. They are also not currently offering any showings of some critically reviewed films such as Tar and Moonage Daydream. It is a well-kept theater with nice staff, but I wish they offered a better variety of films. read more

Bow tie cinema was better. I feel personally victimized and attacked by Billy. He yelled at us countless times after WE were allowed into the theater. We get to the movies and we get in. The theatre 7 we were in the screen wasn't working. My friend went out and asked politely why the movie wasn't playing. He then told us we "snuck in". Our ticket was ripped from a worker. He then yelled again and said we could see a different movie. However another worker informed us that they were closed and no longer selling tickets. I am truly disappointed and will never be going here again. read more
