It felt like there was a good amount of ketchup that was used in the sauce. The tomato soup was EXCELLENT. It was a cool evening and the warm, rich, slightly sour soup hit the spot. I ordered the chole bhature. I think that was the most disappointing. The chole was not bad but the bhature; come on guys. You know what real bhature is. What was served was closer to something like a version of pita bread (little different) but not a bhature. If there was a 'sin' committed, I would say it was not serving a traditional bhature for a dish called chole bhature. We also ordered a dal makhani which was alright. The paneer makhani was really good. The paneer was super fresh and the flavor while not original (to me) was still really good. The service was fantastic. Our server was friendly, attentive, made sure our waters were always filled and checked in on us from time to time without being overwhelming while yet not disappearing. Would I come here again? They also have a pastry display case and fresh sweets available for pick up. This place seems to have a more southern Indian cuisine menu. Dosas, Iddlily, Biryanis, etc. We had the Masala dosa , Iddly platter and special of the day Mutton Biryani. All were well cooked, perfectly spiced,and freshly made to order. The dosa came with a peanut chutney, a coconut chutney and a spicy tomato chutney. Definitely on par with some of the other South Indian restaurants in town. The Biryani's rice was flavored right and the meat was soft. I thought it was all delicious and will definitely continue to frequent this place. The only reason for the 4 Star is in the few times I have visited, the cleanliness of the tables and bathrooms sometimes are far and few between. Also some of the menu items are unavailable during times or even during lunch if a certain cook is on break who makes certain dishes.
