Favorite local spot! I've only been to their old location on Grove for eating in before their relocation, but recently got take out at their new location across the highway. Their staff are always so nice and welcoming. I think they gave us some pre-meal snack last time I had a dine-in like 3years ago? They were a very nice treat from the team! I almost always order chicken vindaloo and garlic naan. The chicken is tender and I shouldn't be surprised but it was good to know that they do use fresh spices when I bit into a green cardamom pod! We stopped by to pick up Butter Chicken to go. The checkout process was smooth and appeared to be run by Door Dash. They moved buildings and are now on the other side of 94 next to the liquor store. The portion sizes continue to be large. The medium spice was just right for what we were looking for (just enough spice for added flavor, if we were eating it as is dining in we would still go with hot). Tandoor~ been on a bit of a mission lately to explore different Indian spots nearby with my family, and we decided to give this place a try! Overall, the food was solid, everything came out fresh, and portion sizes were fair. Some dishes leaned a little sweet or salty for my personal taste. We tried the Gobi Manchurian (3/5), Lamb Rogan Josh/Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, and garlic naan. The lamb curry stood out--the meat was tender, and the smaller pieces practically melted in our mouths (3/5). The garlic naan was probably the weakest link (2/5), but the chicken tikka masala was a pleasant surprise. It tasted like the chicken had been pre-marinated in a curry before being folded into the tikka masala sauce, which added an unexpected but welcomed depth of flavor (3/5). The meal also started with a complimentary side of their version of chips and salsa (not sure what it's officially called), but it was a pleasant way to kick things off. The location changed and unfortunately so did the food somewhat. Not huge changes but enough so the magic isn't quite there like before. The vindaloo is too sweet now with a more tomato-based sauce than before. Naan is thin and rubbery a pancake, samosas are smaller (you now get 3 per order instead of 2). Otherwise the portions and prices are the same and the food is good but most Indian restaurants in the area have 'good' food. Grove used to have stellar food. I've tried the food a few times since the location change so it's not a matter of settling into the new location. These are permanent changes the restaurant made to the menu and ingredients unfortunately. read more

Super clean restaurant and the staff are very nice. When we got there they gave us bottled water and a complimentary appetizer. They kept checking in on us and were very friendly to us the whole time. The service was A+ , The vegetable samosa is spicier than i thought it would be but super yummy. You get three and they are huge! My friend got a chicken masala and I got a mushroom masala. Both very delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. Clean and welcoming restaurant with quick and friendly service. My wife and I shared the Chicken Malai Curry. If you like spicy food, ask for a fair amount of spice -- we ordered medium and could barely feel any heat. Overall a tasty dish, but not as flavorful or memorable as other options we've tried before. The garlic naan was nice and fresh, but the raw garlic made it a little stronger than anticipated. We were out running some errands in Maole Grove and decided to order some food from Tandoor for take away. This was our first, but won't be our last visit. The food was delicious - we ordered our spice level at medium...but will kick it up a notch next time. The medium is a good starting point to gauge what will work best for you if you like some heat. If you're sensitive to heat, start lowers We ordered two entrees and an order of naan. Plenty for us for several meals - which was the hope! Such an amazing experience that totally blew me away even with high expectations due to its high rating. The restaurant was extremely clean and classy. The service was impeccable. And the food was delicious. We had the Panera tikka masala and goat vindaloo and got a few complimentary side dishes as well. Definitely order aggressively on the spice level as we felt like even the medium spicy didn't have much heat to it. What a great way to start our trip to Maple Grove. The nephew, husband and I came here for dinner after round of golf and starving. We had never been before, but we're craving some delicious Non and our usual Indian restaurant was closed. I ordered the chicken, Josh, my husband ordered beef, kebabs, and my nephew got the chicken biryani. We had three orders of Non, and did not realize how large the portion sizes were! The paneer pakora was like a cottage cheese dipped in a batter and fried. I was expecting it to be like cheese curd but it's more like a solid thick cut of cheese that doesn't fall apart nor is it cheesy. It was crispy on the outside, which I enjoyed. Salmon Makhani was like a creamy curry with salmon cubes and came with the basmati rice. We was also served a small potato curry dish, not sure if it was with one of the dish but it was also delicious! My sister really loved her Chicken tikka. Can you tell that we really enjoyed our sister date night here?! Btw we also got 2 Indian donut soaked desserts. It was like donut holes soaked in a syrup sauce. I could just feast and feast and feast on Indian food. And Tandoor excelled as one of the best meals I've had in that bracket in awhile! Our waiter (who I think may have been manager or owner) was so sweet, the restaurant was clean and pleasurable, and the food was divine. I went for the classic tikka masala, and was quite impressed. I can't pretend to be an expert on authentic Indian food, but I don't prefer tikka that is more tomato based- I like allll the spices. And Tandoor made it more spicy than tomato-y, so I was in heaven. We wanted to get the mango cake for dessert, but unfortunately they were out and waiting for more ingredients literally the day we came in, which was super disappointing. Tried this Indian restaurant for the first time today. Hubby, daughter, and I were still a little full from breakfast so we only ordered 2 entrees. The lamb korma and salmon curry were both excellent! Entrees come with basmati rice. Spice level can be adjusted per preference. Portion size was more than adequate. We received some yummy complimentary gulab jamun. The restaurant area was clean and spacious. Bathroom was clean also. Staff was very friendly. Service was impeccable and fast. First time here and will definitely be back. The Lamb Rogan Josh was one of the best dishes I've had. Had the medium spice level and it added just enough heat and taste. We also had the sampler platter with chicken and salmon and it was great as well. Outstanding, polite service. Great night out. The experience and food altogether is closer to 3.83. The appetizer chips and the sauces they came with were very good, the decor clean and modern & the service attentive. The entrees were good however I think if the garlic naan was a bit more garlicy it would have been even better- but the dough, texture and stretchiness of it was enjoyable. We also got the lamb curry and the flavor, texture, and gaminess of the lamb was on point. In addition we got the tikka masala, and while the curry was flavorful I found the cubes of chicken quite dry and over cooked. If the cut of the chicken could be a bit more moist or the chicken cube taken out when it was a bit more moist it would have been perfect. 45 minute wait for a promised 15-minute to-go order. The host (and, I'm guessing, owner) was friendly and provided chips during the wait. They seemed busy and I really didn't mind because hey, it's the pandemic, not like I have anything else to do. Unfortunately food was nowhere near my then-ravenous expectations. The little chicken that existed in my tikka masala was dry, tasteless and almost powdery, as if it was freeze-dried but the sauce itself was pretty good. The basmati was supposed to be served "cooked in a blend of saffron, ghee, bay leaves, raisins, cloves and cardamon" but all I received was plain basmati. And my favorite side, deshi salad, was missing from the order although according to the menu it shouldve been included. I also ordered a side of garlic naan but it was somehow burnt and soggy at the same time. Maybe some kinks to work out? I'll hold out on future visits for a bit. read more
