Located in a busy strip and shopping area of Bloomington. I did not have trouble finding parking though. It is nice, neat and clean on the outside and inside. Looks like they have a really extensive menu (see pics). I ordered to-go but will try the buffet next time around. Ordered chicken 65 biryani, and it was amazing! The portion seemed very generous also, which is a plus, I ate and had leftover for lunch the next day. The prices for all menu items seem very reasonable.

Hyderabadi Special Gobi 65 - meh and not crispy

I tried the Chili Gobi, requested spicy. It was not crispy, like at all. Nor was it spicy. Bummer on both accounts. It was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. I wouldn't be opposed to trying the Gobi Manchurian just to see if it's any better. Palak Aloo - Aloo Saag is one of my favorite dishes, so I was happy to see that they offer a vegan version. I requested it spicy. It was ok. I've had worse; I've had much better. It's missing something... I wouldn't order it again. Poori was different but ok. Vegetable samosas were delicious. Excellent crispy, flaky samosa and perfectly spiced fillings. The menu is clearly marked with "V" for all vegan items, and there's lots from which to choose. They also label for GF, NF, and DF (gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free, respectively). I would like to try more vegan items, like the Bhindi Masala and the dosas. So although I would return, based on my experience, I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

Entry-level Indian food. Basically, it taste like I was trying to make Indian food at home only I'm not Indian and I have no idea how to cook Indian food. Food was just so so in kind of bland, considering all the spices they use. We ordered beers and all they have is plastic cups for you. We asked for water and they gave us bottled water, then actually charge for the water $.50 Also, they charge $2.99 for a credit card surcharge. The total bill for two people was over $100. I was giving this place two stars, but decided to reduce it to one star. Eat elsewhere. PS: the pictures I took make it seem better than it really was. The butter chicken was actually brought out as butter paneer, and the paneer tikka was actually chicken paneer.

Note: 2/5 is for the customer service. The food is significantly better but that will be reviewed for the Rochester location Ordered online via Menufy website. Processed the first order but it was for the incorrect location (Bloomington instead of Rochester). I immediately called the restaurant and was told that it was cancelled in a very harsh and unfriendly manner. Checked the credit card activity log and it showed a charge. Called again 15 minutes later to just do one more confirmation that it was cancelled and again greeted with "it's already cancelled...." - checked a few days later and the charge showed up on my balance. I now have to initiative the dispute transaction feature since Hyderabad double charged me. Advice - try to be a little more understanding of customers especially first-time customers who want to give the place a try. Also, don't confirm that the charge was cancelled but still charge the order on the credit card.

Chicken 65 Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala

Food was extremely good! The curried chicken Momos were the favorite of our group, but the biryanis and tikka masala were good as well. Server was relatively attentive and did a good job.

The inside is beautiful and made for a really nice dining experience. We started with the Eichten's cheese curds, and they were excellent. They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a great experience, and I'd happily return. Glad i was able to cross this one off of my list.

There were still some things we really enjoyed, though, and I'm glad we gave it a try. We started with the French Onion Soup, which was one of my favorite parts of the meal. I loved that they used croutons instead of one giant piece of bread. Much easier to eat--no fighting with a giant bread raft to get to my soup! The flavor was really nice too. I had the Bolognese Pappardelle, which was good, and my partner really enjoyed his Hanger Steak. He also tried the Garlic Herb Mushrooms, but those weren't really his thing. I ordered the N.A. Lela Punch, and that one surprised me. I wasn't sure about it at first, but it grew on me as I drank it. Apparently we just needed a little time to get acquainted. Dessert was an adventure. I decided to try the White Chocolate Panna Cotta because I'd never had panna cotta before. It was beautifully plated, but this is also how I learned panna cotta has a Jell-O-like texture... and I do not like Jell-O. That's definitely a me problem rather than a criticism of how it was prepared. At least I can officially say I've tried panna cotta! I ended up trying the Crème Brûlée as well. Unfortunately, that wasn't my favorite either. I usually love crème brûlée, but I prefer the custard very smooth and creamy, and this one was thicker than I personally like. My partner had the Chocolate Molten Cake and thought it was okay, but it wasn't a favorite for him either. Overall, Lela had some definite highlights--the French Onion Soup, Bolognese Pappardelle, and Hanger Steak especially--but we also had a few misses. I can understand why other people really enjoy it; it just wasn't quite the restaurant for us. And hey, every restaurant adventure can't end with a new favorite. That's half the fun of trying them all!

We were coming from an appointment in Edina and assumed we'd be waiting for a while, but that wasn't the case at all. We walked in, I ran to the restroom, and they were already ready for us. The Edina location does feel a bit tight, I'm not sure why, but I would definitely recommend using the waitlist during peak times or you'll likely be waiting (there are several benches available to hang out on if you are waiting). The sourdough French toast is always my go-to, especially paired with their bacon. I should have gone with the short stack this time. That bacon is so good. I'm not sure were they get it from, but I'm a fan. Our food came out really fast. We were in and out in about 35 minutes. Typically, OPH is a five star experience, and based on the food alone, it absolutely still is. For me, the service fell a bit short this time. Both our server and others seemed a little off. For example, as we were leaving, I paused to let a server finish dropping off food at a nearby table. It was taking a bit, so I carefully moved past, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. She turned and almost ran right into me, and the look I got in return just felt off. That said, it was Mother's Day, so giving some grace. Just not quite the usual experience.

Came here because of all the amazing reviews and the photos of the inside are so cute, yet everything was mediocre. Coffee - bad Chai latte - not good Food - mediocre, bland Service - blah and slow Decor - quaint, quirky and cute, really the only reason for the extra star Additionally, I ordered a dirty chai latte with 2 shots of espresso. He charged me the $6.50 for the latte listed on the menu, then $1.50 for one "Xtra Espresso Shot," then $4.00 for an "Espresso." When I questioned it, he brought the menu and tried to say it's $4.00 for an espresso so he was being nice by not charging $8.00 for the 2 add shots... BRO, you have a button ON THE REGISTER for "Xtra Espresso Shot" for a reason. You hit it twice for 2 add shots on the latte I'm already paying for. $3.00 for 2 add shots on a latte is reasonable, $5.50 is insane. Should have been $9.50 for a double dirty chai latte, he charged me $12.00 and thought he was being nice not charging $14.50. And it wasn't even good. Won't be coming back. Disappointed. I shouldn't even be surprised, but I was so shocked I am already writing this review right after we got home. This place is soooo overrated.
