There is a man employee there who is so incredibly rude to everyone around him. I went to Anna's nails for 6 months and tolerated his negative vibe because of the location being close to my house. The final straw was when he Literally yelled at me when I told him he was putting on a different color than what I gave him. The other customers were shocked at how horrible he was. I spoke to the "owner/manager" and told her I would not be back b/c of him. If your reading this review than I'm sure you know who this man is. I'm shocked he hasn't cost you your business! When Anna's nails comes up in conversation with local residents - this angry/aggressive employee is someone who is brought up by others not promoted by me. The place is mediocre at best. My pedicure was rushed and the foot massage was very short. Worst part-- I was rushed to put my shoes on before the polish was dry enough so I paid for a pedicure that I am now going to have to redo myself. Really their work here is excellent. I have gel nails and have gotten them done many times. Also have had many pedicures here. I'm always happy with the results. The salon is super clean and they really followed Covid protocols. They are fast yet always do a great job. Now here's my 4 star ( I actually would have given 4 3/4!), Just a bit frustrating sometimes with the guys who seem so impatient with me! Sometimes I forget the next step in a fill or hold my hand wrong. Just have a bit more patience with that! I took my daughter to get a full set of gel nails on Wednesday. Her nails look great. I decided to get a pedicure while I waited. It felt great and looks good. The only complaint I have is that the tech clipped the cuticles too short on two toes and made them bleed. They still hurt two days later. The place is clean, big and they have plenty of staff. I have been several times for a pedicure and have always had excellent service and been happy with results. I recommend this nail salon!

The owners have worked to comply with the new requirements. I was very pleased with my pedicure. They are doing appointment only, no walk ins, no waiting area, requiring masks, and had both the front and back doors wide open to keep fresh air flowing through. I was impressed. I got my nails done here on Saturday let's just say the guy who did them was rude very rough on my nails. First time coming here shouldn't be treated the way I was. Very disappointed ... Was bounced between 3 nail techs and 3 different work stations.... Did the powder dip nails (super easy right?) Wrong apparently.... Not a single one is shaped the same or is the same length, my skin was filed in 3 different places, the guy didn't even file or buff the final step before finishing with the gel polish. My nails are lumpy and uneven and some spots are even missing color.... And I'm pretty sure they ripped my real nail into the nail bed after soaking it in acetone for 30 minutes while trying to put the tip on... She glued it on and the tried to pull it off to reposition it.... Hurt like crazy, so I guess we will see... read more

I've been here several times over the past several years, usually as a last minute thing or recently because it's close to work. The quality of the service has gone down substantially each time I've been here. This last time sealed it for me - don't come here. I watched their sanitation practices (or lack there of) and almost left mid-pedicure. The polish is okay, but the entire pedicure lasted less than 20 minutes. I can do that at home AND not risk getting a nail fungus (or worse)! read more

Went for a pedicure, was pleased that they were open on a Sunday. My male technician barely spoke a word to me and it was over start to finish in 20 minutes. My feet feel just as rough as they were when I got there. The polish looked nice, but as soon as my polish was finished he rushed out to smoke and when he returned I paid and gave him a less than normal tip. I won't be returning unless it's a timing thing and will request a different tech than him. read more

I've really enjoyed having Anna's Nails in town. They're a really good place to get a mani / pedi. The staff are nice but not too talkative which I like because it lets me relax. They also offer brow waxing which I haven't tried yet. The location is very convenient. read more

I do not recommend this place at all. They did a crappy job on a dip manicure and wanted to charge me to have it repaired. The technician rushed through the job (45mins.). Old polish was not completely removed before new was applied. The color was sheer and inconsistent. The results are awful. So disappointed. read more

Anna's May have qualified workers but they are incredibly rude people. They also are not consistent with what they charge you. I like to know what it is going to cost and it is always different for the same service. Up to 10 bucks. They also do not care about people . They speak in their native tongue and then laugh at your expense . I for one will not be back!!! read more

Anna's was my favorite place for pedicures. I was always very happy. My last visit, not so much. I called and scheduled my appointment. When I arrived they were very busy and I had to wait a bit. When I got a chair I felt like the girl was ver.y rushed or preoccupied with something else. She didn't trim my toenails, push the cuticles back on one foot, did not scrub my feet, you know the part that tickles! She did scrub my legs but no lotion with the massage. Also she did not use toe separators. The polish on my little toes rubbed off on the toes next to it. I was in an out in less than 45 minutes and that included dry time. They were so busy, I did not complain nor did I call later. I left on vacation the next day. Very very disappointed read more

We had excellent service at Anna's yesterday. Took my daughter for pedis - they had a smaller kids chair just perfect for her. Huge color selection & our nails look perfect. Our feet are so soft too. Anna's was my go-to place for shellac after moving to Kalamazoo in the spring. I had tried dozens in the area and after finally venturing into Portage, I really liked the way they did my nails! They looked great for the full 2 weeks and I never felt pressured into additional services or anything I didn't want. They were friendly and affordable. Unfortunately a few weeks ago, one of the service providers cut me and it resulted in a cuticle infection. It was after that I noticed that they were using the same tools/files and everything on everyone! After I got the infection taken care of, I went back in to have the shellac removed. I tried explaining to them what happened and they still charged me $10 for a removal. When it comes to cleanliness, they throw some of the manicure tools in a weird microwave looking thing that I'm assuming is supposed to sterilize them. But from what I observed, that's the only thing they attempt to clean. I watched them simply rinse the "dead skin cheese-grater thing" after a customer and put it pack in the the drawer! If you're looking for quick and dirty, this is the place! I'm sad to say I won't be going back. I had high hopes, Portage! read more
