I have been a patient of Dr. Kent's for over 11 years (recommended to me by friend). Besides being incredibly gifted at what she does, Dr. Kent is by far one of the most caring & compassionate physicians I know. She sees many patients and runs a tight ship, but I never feel rushed during my visits. Yes, the wait time can be up to 30 minutes, but I don't mind at all, I bring my laptop and work away until my name is called. Dr. Kent always has a genuine smile on her face and answers all my questions, that need to be answered, as well as reassuring me with all. Dr. Kent preformed my hysterectomy (due to cancer prevention) years ago and I couldn't be happier. For those of you here that are complaining about the wait time, any and all good doctors, have a wait time. And kudos to Dr. Kent for trying to help all those that are in need to see her (why not think of it that way). And, for those of you that say she may not remember 'you' as in your face, yet might remember you by your Vajaja, maybe that's a plus, she's not a plastic surgeon for crying out loud. Do I care if she remembers my face each year, NO, what I do care about is the quality of care & smarts. For those of you that stated you had no idea she moved and couldn't find her office for 30 minutes, pleaseeeee - if that's the case..... I am surprised you were the fastest fishy! I started seeing Dr Kent when I was pregnant a year ago. She was great! She was busy so I'd have to wait a bit to see her but not any longer than I've waited for all doctor's appointments. There were also several times when she would get called to the hospital for an emergency. This is totally understandable considering her patients are pregnant and go into labor. I'd see Juliana the PA whenever this happened and that was fine with me. Juliana was great! All this has changed though. I scheduled an appointment for a check up last week and was working they day before when they called to confirm my appointment. They left a voicemail confirming my appointment day and time. The next day, I get my one year old ready and show up on time for my appointment but when I got to the office building, I can't seem to find it! I thought that maybe I was one the wrong floor so I went to all the floors looking for her office. I spent a good 30 minutes going to all the floors multiple times, called asking for the suite number, etc. it wasn't until I realized that suite number doesn't exist in the building did I learn that their office has MOVED! I got the new address and went to their new location- 45 minutes later. When I got to my appointment, the receptionist was RUDE! She treated me like crap for being late. I apologized and said I didn't know the office had moved because I didn't get any notification. She said that they say their address when they call to confirm but I have the voicemail still and guess what? There's no confirmation! Next, when I was walking back to my room, dr Kent walked by and didn't even smile or say anything. But hey, maybe she only recognizes her patients by their vagina...? What really got me mad was when Juliana walked in. She didn't say anything and didn't make eye contact. She just sat down and went straight into the reason why I was there. Talk about crappy bedside manners! I work in the ER and let me tell you, if our staff (Doctor, nurses, emts, etc) were to ever treat a patient like that, we'd get written up for sure!! I can't believe how crappy their customer service and bedside manners have gotten that I am now looking for a new OBGYN before we start trying for a second baby. I'm appalled that the office wouldn't contact their patients to let them know their office is moving (not even a postcard or email!) and I'm even more disappointed that the providers don't know basic social manners. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Kent for first 25 weeks of my pregnancy because she was highly recommended. I felt that she is rude and could care less about my baby or me. She has no bed side manners and is arrogant. I decided to change to an OB that is supportive, caring and extremely professional. I wonder how many patients actually voice their concerns about her. After my experience with her, I found others who had similar feelings about her. I wish I would have known!! read more

When my long time OB retired, I was in search of a new OB since I was planning to start a family soon. I hear of Dr. Kent from a friend and also from two other doctors. When one of them said Dr. Kent had delivered all this children I knew she had to be awesome. I had to wait a while in order to get an appointment with her since she wasn't taking any new patients at the time. When I was 13 weeks pregnant I was transferred from the care of my fertility doctor to Dr. Kent. She was super sweet from day one. Always so reassuring and informative. I had my mind set on having a C section but dr. Kent didn't think I would need it and kept reassuring me that I could have one if I truly wished for one but I would be a great candidate for a vaginal delivery. When I started having contractions on a Sunday night I was so worried that Dr. Kent wasn't around to deliver my baby but she came in the morning and got me ready for the delivery. She had me wait as long as I could so I wouldn't have to push for very long and that's exactly how it happened. My boy was out in 30-40 min. and because of her I was confident I could do it! Love her staff! Jamie and Julianna are great too! My only issue is playing phone tag when you need to get a hold of Dr. Kent with any questions. Dr. Kent is the best! read more

Dr. Kent delivered our only daughter. Her & Julianne were there for my husband and I from conception through her birth, colic stage, etc. We can't say enough kind words about Dr. Kent. She is very very busy because she is so amazing at what she does, however in our opinion she is so worth it. When we had an appointment with Dr. Kent, she patiently answered my husband & my questions and took lots of time with us. She is SO knowledgeable. When it was actual labor time, Dr. Kent was confident, calm, and delivered our baby safely. When I had appointments with Julianne, she was just as kind, confident and never rushed us once. We feel so lucky to have had such a great experience and would highly recommend Dr. Kent to anybody. read more

She sees many patients and runs a busy practice, but I never feel rushed during my visits with her. She always has a genuine smile on her face, she sits down to talk with me and discusses my issues while actually looking me in the eyes (and not while getting up to leave like some doctors I've seen), and her demeanor is always kind and caring, even when she is being firm with me. Dr. Kent delivered both of my babies, and while under her care during my pregnancies she was extremely professional and thorough. I was considered high-risk both times, so in addition to being seen regularly by her, she also referred me to a perinatologist with whom she worked closely to monitor my situation. Both deliveries were done by Dr. Kent and were absolutely wonderful experiences. I tore a lot both times, but the healing process was quick and with minimal pain because of her phenomenal sewing skills. :-D Dr. Kent's staff is also wonderful. Her PA Julianna is not only professional and competent, but is an absolute sweetheart as well. Her front office staff is polite. Her back office staff is always friendly and efficient. I don't know if they're all still there, but shout-out to Kristin, Jen and Denise who all took great care of me at one point or another. All my messages left before 4:00pm are returned the same day, and the rest always by the next morning. Dr. Kent truly is one of those amazing people who is not only stellar at what she does, but it's obvious that she does what she does from the heart. Now if only she could replace all my other doctors in all the other specialty fields I need, I'd be set. ;-) read more

Dr. Kent is a great doctor. She has a mixture of warmth but also no nonsense in her bedside manner. I was referred to her by a friend who has had two babies. Dr. Kent seems very competent. I am due to have my first baby with her in July, so I can update the review at this time. The office is large and clean, and all staff I've encountered have been friendly. Yes, sometimes to have to wait (awhile) to be seen. The office tries to call if she's leaving the office to deliver a baby, but generally speaking she has a tight schedule and runs behind. I always plan to wait an hour when I come and then am pleasantly surprised if the wait is shorter. Early morning appointments are another way to avoid a long wait. I always look at it that if she's running late it's due to her helping someone in a more dire situation than myself (e.g., delivering a baby), so when my time comes I would want that same attention. I've always had phone calls returned when I've needed an answer. read more

Dr. Kent has been my ob/gym for 23 years. She got me through my ridiculously difficult pregnancy and was so caring and attentive whenever I saw her. This has been true over the years since that sweet baby boy is now in his last year of undergrad study at Oxford. Thank you, Dr. Kent. read more

Well I moved here in my 50s and switched me from my birth control to progesterone/estrogen to get through menopause in 2011. She told me it was safer than staying on birth control (which was the plan from my LA OBGYN) . I think NOT. The day after I was diagnosed her PA calls and tells me to get off my estrogen and progesterone immediately. I have no history of breast cancer in my family. Genetics is clear.... only cause was these medicines that was given to me. I ended up with breast cancer in 2013 (I was told the cancer was about 2 years old by the radiation doc) and another occurrence in 2016. Turned my life upside down and I am fighting for my life still. read more

I have seen Dr. Kent since 2014. Her and her staff have become like family to us. Dr. Kent delivered my first daughter and her staff informed us when we were pregnant with our second. We love her team, as they have always been supportive, responsive and quick to action any requests or concerns we had. Dr. Kent was very willing and understanding of my pregnancy and delivery requests. She respected everything I asked of her and would provide her wisdom, she always made sure I was comfortable and together we would make the final decision. I love Dr. Kent. Yes, she's busy and yes she's hard to see but that's because she's really that good. Once a patient tho she will always make time for you. She's delivered all 3 soon to be 4 babies and saved my life before then. She's an amazing doctor and surgeon. She will go above and beyond for her patients. Some of her staff is fabulous too like Dr. Juliana and some of the sweetest nurses but some aren't that great to be honest. There's a new girl who answers phones in the new office who is horrible, rude, and judge, and doesn't relate calls messages. If I wasn't a patient prior and had to talk to her I probably would never want to come in. But Dr. Kent is worth it nonetheless. I know she really cares about her patients and always makes time for us. Staff member come and go and hopefully this one gets the boot. But either way I'm sticking with Dr. Kent :) read more

She always made me feel comfortable, and answered all my questions. I had complications with both pregnancies and I never worried because I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Kent. I would be very careful of this doctor. She lets her PA do most of the diagnoses, does not follow though works fast and treats her patients like In & out burgers gets them in and gets them out. Not a fan. Find a doctor that actually needs a patient and has the time to devote to them. read more

Dr. Kent is great but not worth the amount of effort it takes to actually schedule an appointment. After needing urgent care, I ended up reaching out to a different doctor because I could not reach anyone via phone. After hours trying to reach someone, I got no further than leaving a voicemail. A previous time when I visited the office for testing I received a call weeks later informing me that there was a lab error and I would need to come in again but that the appointment would be quick and I'd be in and out before I knew it. When I came to re-do the test due to their mistake I was there nearly two hours. I came 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment and was not called back to a room for another hour. I then waiting nearly half an hour in a room before being treated. Dr. Kent may be great but something needs to change in the office because I do not plan on returning. read more

Everyone from front desk, to nurses to nurse practitioners and check out desk staff have always been friendly and treated me with respect. Not to mention Dr Kent. I've been a patient of Dr. Kent's for over a year now and she delivered my daughter earlier this year. She is an amazing doctor, who is very knowledgeable and well known in her field. I would not have been able to carry my daughter throughout my pregnancy without Dr. Kent and her amazing referrals. I wouldn't trust anyone else. She is a very busy doctor and wait times in the office can get long. But she's in high demand and has always apologized for being late. She is very patient and takes the time to answer all my questions. And when she's not available, you can see her assistant Juliana. Their new office is so much better! The lab and ultrasound techs are in the same office. So you don't have to run around the building to get tests done like the old office. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. And I love the nurses, (especially Jamie) they are so sweet. read more

She delivered my first baby and I would 100% recommend her to anyone. She has great professional experience, is very friendly, takes time to listen to all of your questions in the appointment and works together to come up with a plan that is best for you. Being pregnant for the first time can be a little scary but she was completely nuturing and competent which made me feel comfortable through it all. The office is great, returns calls and fills prescriptions in a timely manner, which also contributes to my high rating. My only complaint during delivery is that the nurse didn't call Dr. Kent sooner. I highly recommend her! read more

Dr. Kent is hands down, the best you can get. I started seeing her a year ago when pregnant with my first. I have a very rare neuro-muscular disorder that made for a lot of unknowns during pregnancy and especially what was to come with delivery and the health of my baby. She went above and beyond not only in researching my condition but also getting a team together from Hoag two months prior to my due date to discuss our contingency plan and to be prepared for all scenarios. When the big day came, Dr. Kent continuously popped in to make sure everything was going smoothly during the day and was so incredible during the actual delivery that even my husband (a tough critic) was in awe of her expertise and bedside manner. And I'm especially thankful that she was able to set my mind at ease for those months as any additional worry or lack of sleep would have been for nothing...labor and delivery went amazing and we have a perfect little girl! While wait times can be annoying for regular appointments, in my opinion it is all worth it when you are cared for at that level when it really counts. Dr. Kent is fantastic. read more

I never met the Doctor because the staff was so pointlessly rude on the phone so I decided to pursue finding another doctor.

Dr Kent is terrific. She is very easy to talk to and knowledgeable in her field. She is willing to take the time to answer your questions.

I have been going to this practice for 20 years. Once I became Medicare eligible, they no longer take me. One day, they will get old. Hopefully they will experience the same discrimination themselves. Fortunately, there are other excellent doctors out there who like the older generation! Shame on this practice! read more
