I love it! It is super quiet and relaxing. The last salon I went to was one big open room which at times was really loud. People would let their kids run all over, messing with the chairs and just being plain annoying. I no longer have this problem at Sola Salons. Getting my hair done is finally what it should be....relaxing and ME time. She is open to being fun and doing new things to your hair. Life is short....live life to the fullest! Another great thing about having your own space is you can decorate your room to fit your personality. Mallory has elephants, Buddha's and Ganesh in her space....it is a happy place. I used to color my own hair and go to one of the budget hair cut locations, which did a good job while and met my needs for years. However being a woman in my later 50's and concerned over my aging hair, I finally decided to go to a pro salon initially to get a professional cut/color to see if would be better, and it's a resounding YES. It's a bit more $$, but the cut/color results are 10X better than when I did it myself. Declyn figured out cut that fits me on the first visit and with my thinning hair, the light bob works great with a well layered cut that has given me some volume again on top that I can play with...as some may say, it's all in the cut. I love red, and she tried a couple different colors and by the 3rd time she hit it spot on...it's red & it's sexy! The color is solid and doesn't rinse out or come out on my clothes/bedding like the OTC color would...I love it. She also recommended the Surface 'Awaken' products for thinning hair, I get the Awake Mask and treatment with my cut/color, and I'm happy with the improvements to my hair. Again, all this costs a bit more than when I was coloring it myself with a $15 cut, but the improvement is tremendous, I look better, it gives me a boost to my self-esteem, and that's worth it. Also, check out their NailTek products to protect and repair your nails, in particular the #3 for hard brittle nails or #4 for weak, thin nails; good products. The salon is nicely designed, comfortable space, though the noise level is a bit high...the sounds of talk and hair dryers can be hard to talk/hear through. They are doing some redesign of the space (2Q/21) and hope they have taken some sound attenuation measures in the remodel. My suggestion is to employ some passive sound attenuation like acoustic panels or fabrics mounted/hanging in the ceiling to capture some of the sound. The space is all hard surfaces, wood floor, cabinets, open hard ceilings, windows...and the sound bounces all over never getting absorbed by anything. Active Noice Reduction (ANR) is another way (but more $) to manage in particular the sound of hair dryers, and this would be the best method for that narrow band of sound. It's not terrible, but it's something I wish more retails spaces would address.

She has the magic touch! I don't know what she does but her waxes are definitely less painful than other specialists I have seen. She always cleans up my eyebrows without making them too thin, which is exactly what I like. She finds the perfect amount of sideburn to wax off, and very kindly mentioned I had just a couple of hairs on my chin she could get. She really listens to her clients and has great attention to detail so that I always walk away looking flawless! She also gets bikini waxes done in fewer passes so my skin does not get irritated. She takes great care to look and make sure not a single hair was left behind. I've never had anyone else tweeze my legs! Her eye for precision means I don't have to worry about those pesky short hairs that waxing can miss. She ensures I leave looking and feeling smooth! The Salon is very nice and has a warm atmosphere, figuratively and literally. The temperature is always comfortable and the tables have warmers on them, which is a great touch! Nevertheless, the prices are very reasonable compared to other places. (Please don't raise them because I said that!) So you can get a spa experience for a little less than you would pay at somewhere like European Wax Center. You also get a very nice welcome gift your first time in, which includes a number of coupons to encourage you to try the myriad of services the salon has to offer. I can't wait to try them!

You asked for it. My Signature Salon of Woodbury appointments were 9/11/25 at 11am, 11/20/25 at 11am, and 1/2/26 at 2pm. Nice recordkeeping!! On 9/11, Signature Salon called me the DAY BEFORE my appointment and asked me to reschedule, which I did. On 11/20, Signature Salon called me THAT MORNING and asked me to change my start time, and I complied. They do not respect appointment times or the fact that their clients have to rearrange an entire day to accommodate their last-minute changes. On 9/11, I asked that my appointment be with the owner, Quynh. When I arrived, I was seen by someone else (I think her name was Sam or Lee, but I'm not sure). On 11/20, I again asked that my appointment be with Quynh, and I was seen by Alondra instead. For my 1/2 appointment, I asked to be scheduled with Alondra again, but was seen by Quynh with no explanation as to why it wasn't with Alondra. They do not respect client requests and do not provide reasons when things change. On my first appointment, I asked for copper highlights and got caramel color instead. The stylist offered to correct it, but I had already been in the chair for over two hours and did not have space in my schedule; the caramel was fine, and I was ok with it. On my second appointment, Alondra gave me the copper highlights that I wanted and she was amazing to work with; this is why I requested her the third time. However, Quynh did not follow the notes that Alondra left in my profile and instead of having little kisses of copper around the crown of my head, she pulled the color all the way to the ends resulting in waaay too much red in my hair. She was also rough and rushed when doing the color, and left me in the hands of her assistant for the rest of the appointment. Oh, and they don't respect you as a person, either. When I arrived for my 2:00 appointment on Jan 2, no one greeted me when I came in. I sat in the waiting area for FORTY MINUTES before Quynh sent someone to ask what I needed! When I was finally seated at a styling station, Quynh offered a weak apology saying that she had seen me sitting out there waiting but thought that I was a nail client. I'm sorry, but why would you assume that I am a nail client, and even if I were...why is it okay to ignore someone for forty minutes?? When my hair was done, I was never offered a mirror to look at the back or to see the color. It wasn't until I got home that I looked at the back of my head...terrible. Not at all what Alondra had done for me in September, and laughable that Quynh said she was doing me a favor by pulling the color all the way to the ends. I have never spent so much time and money to be sent out of the salon without being given an opportunity to see the back of my head. Neither do they respect your privacy. While I was trying to pay my bill, I was suddenly being pulled to the center of the reception area, in front of several other clients, getting pictures taken of my hair! I did not consent to this! I was not shown the pictures or told where they were going to be posted! All I wanted to do was pay for the appointment and leave...but then I had to endure a few more insulting minutes while Quynh and the receptionist both cackled at me "6 more weeks! You make another appointment for 6 weeks!" They had me near tears; I walked out of there without taking the time to even put my coat on in 10 degree weather because I was desperate to get to my car where no one was screaming at me to make another appointment. And when I got to my car...oh, boy. I looked in the rearview mirror and I had hair dye all down my left cheek, on my left ear, all the way across my forehead AND ON MY NOSE! I needed to go to the post office and grocery store, but no way could I go out in public looking like that, so I went home instead. I had to use nail polish remover to get the dye off of my face, which of course RUINED my expensive manicure. It was all so bad that I canceled my date that night. They also don't treat clients equally...while I was sitting in the waiting area for over half an hour being ignored, Quynh checked out a lady and told her all about some sort of program where you earn points for every dollar spent. I have had three appointments at Signature Salon in the past 4 months, spending nearly $1000 dollars, and NO ONE has ever mentioned that program to me. I'm sorry Quynh that you think that my 1-star review was fake; you don't remember our conversation about the suite being built in the back of the salon, and how the contractor had the flu so the construction was taking longer? *I* will never forget the lousy treatment I've received at Signature Salon. I'm interested in what you'll do to make this right, or if you will post another snarky reply as with other negative reviews.
