Annie is extremely professional, accommodating, inciteful and affordable We originally were planning a lake house wedding that we ultimately decided against because we found it to be very overwhelming to plan, however, I need to say that Annie was a very positive part of our experience. I think the catering was the only "easy" decision in the whole process after we met with her! Annie was referred to us by a friend of mine who is a wedding planner and has worked with Annie both through her private business and when she catered for the Common Man. She had very high reviews. She noted that (unlike the other places I had mentioned to her) "Annie's food is memorable". She also noted that she is very accommodating to people's budgetary restrictions. Annie met with us at a convenient place to us and blew us away with her creative menu, laid back personality (helpful when the bride is overwhelmed!), and obvious experience. She helped us to visualize our day and how to work around some obstacles at our wedding location. She showed us where we could save money with the catering, and was willing to make some exceptions to make the pricing work for us. I was very sad to tell her we chose to go with a venue instead because I was really excited to work with her. Our tasting was amazing. The day of the event the food was pretty good; however they were late to arrive and unprofessionally involved my guests in drama. The payment was due on the day of the wedding, my sister asked if you could pay with our debit card, they said Yes to just call the following morning. As if this previous conversation never happened, DURING the middle of dinner service, the caterer pulled aside a groomsman and said they haven't been paid and need to speak to the bride or groom. There was then an argument between them, my husband and father in front of guests; this was embarrassing and very unprofessional. It brought a level of stress into the wedding celebration. My dad did end up giving them a check mid-dinner service. I just wish Annie's had told us prior that they would only be able to take a check or cash the day of. There was never any email or call or discussion about the final payment until the reception had started, I didn't even get the total bill until days prior to the event. Then for brunch, we hired their buffet for a 10:00 AM. This we paid for in advanced. The morning of, guests were showing up to our venue and the caterer was no where to be found. We tried calling their phone's but there was no answer. Eventually, I called my wedding coordinator from the night before and she was able to get in touch with them and said they were running late. Annie's showed up at 10:15 AM, and THEN had to set up. My guests were aimlessly walking around waiting, and some had already left before the caterers arrived. It was very unprofessional and embarrassing. I loved the fact that this was a family owned business. I just wish they delivered with professionalism. A wedding weekend is a big and expensive day that you heavily rely on vendors to make run smooth. I was disappointed on how this one turned out. I do wish them the best going forward. read more

Tonite Annie's catered a large event at the Governor's Island Club (approx 150 ppl) and it was phenomenal! Chicken (pieces and boneless breasts) steak tips, wonderful homemade raviolis and salads. Everything was cooked to perfection, fresh and incredibly delicious. And then the desserts! Out of this world! Fresh baked pies, cookies, brownies and assorted treats. Now, this pains me greatly to write but we were at a craft fair at the Laconia High School last month and there was an elderly woman who asked for a cup of soup and the only reply the woman received was "We only have $3.00 cups, that's it", and so the woman walked away with no soup, if I had had cash on me I would have given it to her in a heartbeat, I don't think this is how you should treat someone ever. read more

Oh and the fresh-roasted coffee drinks are amazing - check out the "Funky Monkey"! Just tried this place for the first time today. I tried their sugar free vanilla chai with skim milk, and it came out great ! I also tried a slice of their fresh zucchini bread and it was amazing! We had Annie's cater our 50th anniversary party. The food was wonderful and plentiful. We ordered marinated beef tips (fabulous) and ginger chicken (also great as leftovers the next day!). The food arrived beautifully presented on raised silver platters, ceramic dishes, and it was artistically garnished. The food was dropped off on time by a very nice young man and he situated/set-up everything for us. I simply removed the plastic wrap and 'presto!' - I was ready to entertain 30 guests! All the women who attended the baby shower were RAVING about the delicious food! The salads (fruit and green) were so fresh and beautiful, the tea sandwiches were so creative (chicken salad on zucchini bread, omg!!), the orzo salad had such a delicate balance of flavors, the spanakopita triangles were the best we've ever tasted. On May 23, 2014, Annie catered our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner and it was amazing. I had to organize this event from a distance, which usually complicates matters, but in Annie's competent hands it was a great success. She arrived exactly when she said she would and went about transforming a bare table into a veritable feast. The table was beautiful, the portions were substantial, each and every dish was beautifully presented and the food was beyond delicious. Our event was held at a delightful country B&B. This was the first time Annie catered at this location. The owners were very impressed by Annie's professionalism and by her outstanding food; well-earned praise indeed.
