Found water street cafe on Yelp n Stopped for brunch. Nice clean airy restaurant decorated w airplane memorabilia. We had the butterscotch hot chocolate, Benny lobster , burrito special and 2 eggs w avocado n scalloped potatoes. Butterscotch hot chocolate was something different than the regular hot chocolate n a lil sweeter but tasty. Benny lobster was sooo goood. Generous amount of lobster n Just the right portion. The burrito too was tasty n just the right size but could have shared it w another person. All in all a good Saturday brunch. Tx u water street cafe 4 a great brunch

The food was fantastic! The menu was extensive with options for everyone. The portion sizes were very large and prices were reasonable. We were staying locally on a fall leaf peeping mother-daughter trip. We found the location using yelp and decided to go based on the good reviews. Food experience was local and authentic.

Probably not an issue but I'm a freak about that stuff. They make their own corned beef hash which was pretty good ( though mine is much better!). Their bread selection is also pretty good in that it's all hand sliced thick. However, on that note they did not have Rye bread- which is my go-to bread. Overall a good breakfast though not a great breakfast. I was happy we stopped in as we were all hungry.

Service on a Saturday noon seemed casual - no wait, got pointed towards a "high two-top" (waitress' words). I ordered some hot coffee and, more importantly, the chicken & waffles ($20). Now, this price point might seem more appropriate for Downtown Portsmouth or Boston, but it exists for a reason. Not only do you get a large portion of fried chicken, waffles, and syrup, its adorned with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Effectively, you're getting chicken & waffle eggs benedict. One would need quite the large appetite or have skipped another meal to finish it all.

If you go during spring boiling season, standing in the steam room above the boiler is amazing for your skin and easily the warmest spot in the building. The service: They used to struggle a bit on busy days, but they've built a system that works. We walked in during a rush and food still came out fast. I've run into yellow jackets here years ago, but saw no trace this time. The values: Everything comes on fully compostable plates and flatware with plastic-type cups. They're fully green, and you can tell it's a true reflection of the owners' values. The food: Best I've ever had there. They nailed every egg -- scrambled, over hard, over medium, over easy -- plus perfect home fries. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The gluten-free/vegan/dairy-free blueberry pancakes deserve their own shoutout: completely different recipe from the regular, sweetened with maple syrup from trees around the farm. About as good as a pancake gets. Kids loved the chocolate chip -- cooked to perfection, didn't even need syrup. The French toast was light, fluffy, and flawless. Exceptional experience and worth every penny.

No matter what and we understand how it is with servers, it's very hard for them to actually attend to one table. So we understand and we know how things are made. It takes time to make certain things that you order. It's not quick when certain items but when you order. I'm burger, and it's quicker Vs something more exotic. That's wonderful or something that takes longer to cook. So we waited and waited, and we got our order. And it was so amazing. It was just wonderful, we thank you so much for this wonderful day. My husband's filet mignon lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes were gummy and translucent. They should not have been served. My salmon special came out with the wrong sides, not once, but twice. They tried to give me those disgusting mashed potatoes and green beans, when the specials page said pilaf and asparagus. When I finally got the rice pilaf, it lacked seasoning. The asparagus were blackened. After being sent back twice, the salmon was warm, not hot. The pub food may be good. If you're looking for a burger and a beer, that meal might be enjoyed with a view of the golf course. Sorry Greenside, we're not coming back.
