Kellerhaus is always a mandatory stop when we are in the area. We love to browse the gift shop…read moreand buy some fudge. And of course we always have to have some of their delicious ice cream. They have a couple dozen flavors of ice cream and a make your own sundae bar. The scoops of ice cream are generously sized and there's a decent variety of toppings on the sundae bar. I especially like the peanut butter sauce. I think the ice cream and the sundae bar are reasonably priced. I wish they had a typical display case for the ice creams, I'd like the opportunity to see what the different flavors look like before I order.

In recent years it has changed ownership and while we still visit, some changes have been made for the worse - mainly the new line and ordering setup. Now you are shuffled along a winding path where you can only see the flavor menu right as you're going to order; it makes deciding much more difficult and rushed. They then take your order and scoop everything downstairs, instead of in front of you in the ice cream case, which used to be more enjoyable. They leave the line standing there for a while until they bring orders upstairs and hand them to you. I understand if maybe this was necessary, I am just saying it feels a lot less quaint and personal, and more like you're being herded like cattle through a line where the ice cream is put together somewhere else. The old setup was much nicer and everyone I have talked to agrees. Their ice cream is still tasty, we love the sundae bar, and the homemade candy and chocolates are delectable. Kellerhaus has so much charm, and I would love to see the old ice cream setup brought back!

We tried: Breakfast Sandwich -- Egg, avocado, cheese, and sausage on an English muffin ($8.50). 8/10 Super satisfying and customizable, with fresh add-ons like spinach, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and tomatoes if you want to load it up! French Toast Crêpe -- Cinnamon, brown sugar, and bacon with a side of real maple syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream ($11). 7/10 Sweet and decadent! We just wish the bacon was a little crispier and more candied for that perfect salty-sweet crunch. Overall: A cute café with a cozy vibe, friendly service, and a great menu selection. Definitely worth checking out if you're visiting Meredith!

They all sounded delicious. The inside is pretty small with only a couple seating options inside and out. It was busy on a Saturday around noon. There were no open spots so i decided to take my crepe to go and eat it somewhere else. I waited around 10-15 minutes after i ordred. I ordered the Thai Sunrise crepe and loved it. Peanut sauce was delicious and so were the ingredients. I loved it and it was so filling! Price so fair ~$12. Was so happy and full! I would love to come back!

TLDR: go to the Belmont location instead. Avoid this AJ's at all cost!!…read more We just went to redeem our National Coffee Day promotion which states in the app that is active from 9/29 to 10/6 and were turned away by the girl working at the window. Their scanner was broken and they didn't mention it to anyone waiting in the long line - they had a tiny sign on the counter by the window meaning anyone who would not have gotten their rewards for scanning the app had no idea until they were at the window and had waited 10+ minutes when they could've driven to the next closest AJ's. The real issue though is that the app advertises the free coffee until 10/6 and they will not honor it. Specifically, the employee stated, "I don't know what the app says, but our location won't honor that. We only offered that on 9/24." She didn't even know what day the promotion was running. When we told her that the promo was 9/29, she just stared at us. No offer to ask someone else for confirmation or assistance, no apology; just a blank stare. She made zero effort to resolve our issue nor to provide a modicum of customer service. We tried to show her the app and she continued the blank stare. We drove away since she was either glitching or simply waiting for us to give up. I get that these are franchised locations, but AJ's is the parent company and if they are advertising something in the app, franchisees should have to honor it. Failure to do so diminishes a customer's trust in the brand. I'm heading to Dunkin now since I'm going to pay for my coffee either way and I won't give that franchise a dime of my money. Very disappointing experience at AJ's today to say the least.

The fudge is to die for and they have so many different flavors to choose from. The shop also sells NH and NH made novelty items... maple syrup, tea, soy candles, chocolates, T-shirt's, sweaters, mugs, body scrubs, popcorn, etc. Although you have lots to choose from and the fudge is amazing... the best part is the warm and friendly service we received even before getting out of our car. The owner was extremely warm and helpful... and customer service is number one in my book! He mentions he will be expanding services even more in the months to come. And I can't wait to be back to have some tea while getting a foot massage and eating some fudge! If you're in the area, passing by, or even if you're not in the area... add this little hidden gem to your list of stops to make. You won't regret it!

The previous reviewer (Angela S.) really nailed it. Granite Life is great! We were on a mission…read morefrom my grandmother to find a rock. She's very picky--you'd think that a rock wouldn't be hard to find in the Granite State, but she had stipulations. Plus, it had just snowed about 3 feet, so any rocks that might around sure weren't visible. So, we called around to a few places to ask about rocks. We got a lot of puzzled looks (through the phone), until we reached George. He said, "Well... sure we have rocks. Are you staying Steele Hill Resort?" We were. "Okay, come by tomorrow, and I'll have a couple rocks for you." So, we went. The shop was clearly closed for the winter season, but we called George and he can down from his home (on the same property) and gave us a selection of rocks from the boundary wall of his property. We tried to give him some money, but he refused. We told him thanks and that we would have to come back sometime to check out his shop. He asked if we wanted to check out the candy, and we said, okay, if not too much trouble. Nothing was too much trouble for George. He opened up the shop, told us about how it was a labor of love for him and his family, lots of local goods, including maple syrup from the farm up the street. And fudge, all sorts of different, delicious fudge. They also had plenty of novelty gifts, hand-screened sweatshirts and t-shirts, and a little coffee nook overlooking the fields and lake in the distance (can't remember if we could see the lake--but it was there!). Needless to say, we couldn't help ourselves from picking up a few souvenirs and happily supporting a local business and businessman who obviously cared about his customers and how he treats them. We can't say enough nice things about Granite Life--friendly, convenient if you're in the area, wide selection of souvenirs with local flare, and just a generally good vibe to take home with you. Highly, highly recommended. Oh, and Gramma liked the rock--not too flashy, but she loved the story and the history of it. Mostly, she liked that we made the effort to find what she wanted--thanks, George.
