I did not want to write this review but I feel like it's my responsibility to share that some of the hair stylists are wonderful, but others need to have a slice of humble pie. Everyone has bad days, but my second time going left me feeling robbed. I brought my elderly mother in for a haircut. The hair stylist was immediately annoyed at us for not fully understanding her (we do not speak her language). She spoke English but she preferred her native language. I work in a non-profit so I am used to communicating with people from all walks of life but this stylist just could not communicate with us without being angry. At some point, I thought she was going to shout at my mother. We weren't even asking for a complicated hair cut. My mom has slightly wavy, thin hair. She just needed two inches off. Definitely never returning. I'm sad to write this updated review. read more

Lily Warning... Public service announcement. I have to warn people LILY destroyed my hair. First she cut it 4 inches shorter than we agreed on. I even had her take a picture at the agreed length. I feel betrayed. I can't believe how ugly it is. I'm in my 60s and I've never had hair this short and this ugly. Besides the length, she hurt me, ripping through my hair and lastly, she burnt my hair with a curling iron. I told her I could smell it. She told me I was wrong. My hair is crispy. Then at the end, she told me "Oh, short hair is good" I wish there had been a warning like this when I checked them out. read more

Bad quality and I can't believe they service me the way they did. I walked in asking for a haircut and she was like we're busy how about later and I told her okay that's fine but another stylist said I take you just wait 5 min. Okay so I waited and she freakin rush me haircut she had me brush out my hair and I gave her an example of what I wanted and she didn't deliver she cut my hair dry and not style it, she said for me to do it at home. The worst part she charge me $40 for a 10 min haircut. Man I regret it and don't make the same mistake I did. I went there bc of the yelp reviews but I left so disappointed and robbed. read more

I stopped by as a walk in on Sunday morning to get a haircut. The lady who cut my hair was very nice, I didn't get her name but she was friendly and did a good job. They don't take cards but do accept cash, Zelle or Venmo. The location is in an area with plenty of parking. read more

I came here for my mom to get a bob haircut and was very pleased with the service and price. I made an appointment by calling two weeks in advance. Ann was really nice, and it was my fault we were a few minutes late. Ann cut my mom's hair and was really nice. I showed Ann a picture of a layered bob cut which she did. Ann cut my mom's hair first, and then did the wash, blow dry, and style. (I thought one shampoos first but whatever.) It took about 35 minutes and it was about half the price I have paid elsewhere for a similar cut for my mom. Bring CASH only please. That is the only thing you really need to remember. Parking really easy, and very close to City hall and a bunch of city depts/park. read more

I needed a last-minute salon visit, and Sunday was the only day I was free. This salon caught my eye because of its great reviews, reasonable prices, and the fact that it was open on Sunday--definitely a big plus!! I had called several other salons, and I couldn't believe they were charging $80 just for a trim. Which I believe is absolutely ridiculous. At this salon, I asked the owner to trim an inch and fix my bangs, and she did exactly that--no more, no less. It was refreshing because, at the salon I usually go to, they often don't really listen to what I ask for. The owner was really welcoming and even shared a bit about her background, which made the experience feel more personal. I'm really happy with my haircut and especially glad she fixed up my choppy bangs. I'll definitely be returning. Thank you Ann! read more

In LA for a couple of days, my wife needed a color , cut and blow dry. This location looked the part, to put it simply, Outstanding! A collection of Vietnamese women with a whole lot of talent. You see it in the customers patiently waiting, young and old, male & female, and everyone working here with great hair! See for yourself , and as always, be polite. This is my go to hair salon and Tina is my go to stylist !! I first came here to get a bad haircut I got somewhere else fixed. Not only did Tina fix my hair, she gave me exactly what I wanted from the very beginning. She's super nice and is sooo good at what she does. I show her example photos and she gets it right on the dot every time. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxing. I always come right after work and I doze off while getting my haircut. That goes to show how comfortable I am and how much I trust them without worry. I will always sing their praises and will only ever come here to get my hair done. read more

This is the best beauty shop ever The women who work there are out of this world. Lee ( the owner) Tina, Lili bring a delightful atmosphere of beauty to all. The prices of having your hair done is unbelievable. Nobody in town can beat their prices. I be been going there since 2013 and will not go anywhere else. Nice area. I have been looking for a good local salon and finally found a great one! My hair is thick and curly and Lilly did a great job cutting it very carefully. Great customer service and she listened to exactly what I said. The layers were exactly what I wanted and she was very attentive to the details. I asked for a body wave perm yesterday. I made it specifically clear that I wanted big curls and nothing tight and spirally. I showed her the picture of a digital/partial perm and she said she can do it. Nope, she gave me a full perm and the curls never caught on after it dried. I didnt wash my hair, but that's all the beauty advice I got. Don't wash hair within 24-48 hours. This is the result. I want my money back and I have a feeling they won't refund me read more

Unfortunately, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I showed the first stylist multiple reference photos of what I wanted, but she ended up adding a very dark root color to my already lightened hair, which was the complete opposite of the look I asked for. After expressing my concerns, the salon did have another stylist step in to help correct it, which I appreciated, although I waited nearly two hours in between. The second stylist made me feel much more comfortable and did improve the situation, but I still left unhappy with my hair overall. The correction consisted of using a color remover on the roots and applying toner to the rest of my hair, and I was charged $265 for it. At the end of the day, my hair looked better than what the first stylist did but still nowhere near what I originally asked for or envisioned. I'm leaving this review because I think communication and transparency are incredibly important, especially with color services. What upset me most was not just the outcome, but the way the situation was handled overall. I understand that corrections can take time and effort, but if I was going to be charged $265 for a corrective service after my hair was initially mishandled, that should have been clearly communicated to me beforehand. I truly wanted to love this salon and leave feeling taken care of, but unfortunately I left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and unhappy with the overall experience.

Location: Salon is located near the Bay Club, the location is beautiful and plenty to do afterwards, but not worth it when you leave the salon with results that you clearly advised you did not want to see. Parking: Metered parking, somewhat tight due to gym; however, the salon does provide you a pass. Front desk person: Woman that answers the phone provides the recommendation on who to see based on the description that you give her; altough I'm not sure she is the right person so make those determinations. Color: Failed results at all times, kept saying that it's a process, yet she never invested in achieving the color as we discussed. I felt low and disregarded every single time I left the salon. I paid over $1000 to not obtain the results in each session. When I shared my concerns with her and advised that the incorrect color was used, she became distant, ghosted me on text and was not honest about when she was in the office. I called the salon and the woman at the front told me she was there. I feel cheated and hurt. There is no salon manager, no one that cares or that you can speak to about your concerns. Payments are done directly to the stylist.

I texted Edgar a wish pic and it looks nothing like it. I do not recommend him. He offered his next cut free and I won't go back

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

This mom-and-pop hair salon is wonderful. My hair was super dark and I tried to get the color out myself. I completely messed up my hair badly, with all different colors all over the place from me bleaching it. I showed her a picture of my natural color of light ash brown. I'm so impressed with the results. I can't believe she was able to fix all my mistakes and make it look so perfect. She also does kids hair. I'm definitely taking my kids here. The owner was so friendly and welcoming and even chatted with me about the city since she's been there over 20 years. It's always best to support small businesses and not the large chains! read more
