I was a 1st time customer at Lustful Hair. Jennifer took time to return a voice mail I left earlier inquiring about hair length options and if they were in stock. Google initially took me to their old location...so just make sure to confirm prior to travel. Jennifer took time to have the hair ready upon my arrival and was kind enough to give a discount as a 1st time customer. And she was super nice and pleasant! The location was clean and well organized. The hair was a great quality and has not tangled or exhibited shedding. I waited to review to allow for an honest take on the quality. Initially I went online to order hair but noticed they did not have the length I wanted so I called. I spoke to Jenn and she explained the online site is only the inventory they have at the Corona store but they have the length I need in Inglewood. When I showed up to Inglewood, she already had put some hair aside for me in the length I asked her about. Jenn was super sweet and helpful and the hair is great quality. Just had THE ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE at Lusftful Hair! I have found my New Favorite Hair business! I have been buying my hair at Lustful since about 2016. Not only do I prefer seeing my hair up close and not buying it online for fear that it will not be 100% raw human hair but I also prefer businesses that are personable and where you walk in and they refer to you by your first name. Jennifer and Christina are amazing and will help you find the bundle that works best for you. When I first started buying hair I wasn't good at selecting between bundles and textures so I would bring a friend who would help me choose. They understand the task at hand and we're totally understanding of my +1's inspecting each bundle before purchase. I only ever had an issue one time with a bundle and Jennifer was responsive, apologetic and helped me find another bundle as a replacement. The hair industry is so littered with fake human hair that buying hair can be a daunting task which is why I won't go anywhere else for fear of getting a bad bundle. Lastly the prices are competitive and there are always holiday specials for customers to take advantage of. I've referred a lot of people to Lustful not only because of the quality of the hair but also because of the amazing customer service! Thank you Lustful. I love this place and their product! Jennifer is the absolute sweetest. Good vibes every time I come. This hair lasts a very long time, feels great, wefts are full, and this is one of the few places that measures its wavy and curly hair in its textured state! When you order a 20" curly weft, you are getting 20" of curls, not 17-18" because the length is based on its straightened state. Placed an order online for hair to be delivered, but I had a feeling it may not come on time so I sent a message asking if the hair was sent out and within 24hrs I had a response. Very professional in responding and carrying on a dialogue timely may I add! So I decided I'll pick up my hair in Inglewood. I get there to pick it up and the young lady that was behind the counter had the BEST spirit/energy I've seen in a while. Fantastic customer service but horrible quality hair. I came here on a recommendation of a friend and bought 3 bundles of straight hair which cost me about $1k. I assumed since the hair was so expensive it would be amazing quality, but this was not the case. It tangles so much i have to carry a brush around to brush it ever 2-3 hours. It also is constantly shedding. I really don't recommend buying hair form here. read more

I ordered a closure from Lustful. I had it installed and after a week the hair became really course and unmanageable. I called and spoke to customer service and told her what happen and she said that was unusual, to wash it and leave conditioner on for a longer time, I did that and the hair remained the sane, I called back and she told me she was going to talk to her supervisor about it. I never received a call back. I paid $ 160.00 for a closure that lasted a week. I feel like they didn't care about their product or their customer. I sent the closure back to them, I know they received and k still never received a call. Be careful when you purchase this hair!!! read more

Full disclaimer I haven't installed my hair yet ( 2 bundles of 20" curly), but I'm confident that I will be satisfied once I have. Jennifer & Elizabeth went through tremendous efforts to help me get the hair I wanted and actually, it was quite serendipitous like literally the stars aligned lol. I've been buying hair from Lustful (Corona) since 2013 and have always believed that the hair was top shelf. I actually still have a wig that is over 3 years old and still amazing (I take care of my weave hair) however I have purchased two curly closures in the last 4 months because they keep shedding and matting. I don't do disposable hair and that's what it has felt like with these closures...cost isn't cheap ($155 each) but hair today is! No more!!!!!! read more

What can I say, it's the second happiest place on Earth..... the wide selection of Indian hair that not only are great quality but it is also a decent price. I also come here and get excellent service, greeted like a long time friend. I have been coming to this business before this location was opened, when they only had the Corona location. That tells you I was willing to travel far to get great quality hair. However, Jennifer one of the owners is so bubbly, professional, and fair; has stellar consumer service she goes out her way to help you choose excellent hair that works well for you. The parking is a minimum but it's in a busy shopping center next to Roscoe's and Starbucks, but to avoid that their is parking on the residential area in the back street. You will Always find what you need at this shop. I went to Pauline's. Inglewood and was turned away, told they were waiting for shipment. The front door clerk was nonchalant, she rushed me out of the store advising me to call later for updates. So, I went to Lustful! Lustful hair was highly recommended by several hairdressers, the front desk person is helpful. The hair is Excellent quality. I am so glad I have a new place to shop! 5 stars!!! I recently purchased hair from this store, and the hair is absolutely beautiful!!! In the past 4 years, I have had bad luck with hair quality and longevity from other hair vendors. I searched and searched to find quality hair. I met two separate ladies with gorgeous hair, and both informed me they purchased from Lustful Hair. When I walked in, I explained my frustration to Jennifer, and she was so nice, thorough and patient with me as I figured out what curl type/pattern/texture and length I would purchase. I called & during purchasing my hair I dealt with great customer service so I really feel bad about leaving the first simi negative review but searching on yelp is what brought me to this location to begin with & I must say the curly hair I purchased about a month ago looked beautiful & was very soft at first but that rubbed off about a week or so :/ The actual curl pattern is nice but my hair feels like rough DOLL HAIR I should have went with my first mind when I notice a few white/clear strings of hair that was told to me was grey hair(doesn't look like human hair) Not worth the investment ! read more

I found Lustful Hair on instagram, and decided to try it out on a whim/cuz the pics were nice. I got the 20in Brazilian Curly texture hair--3 bundles of it. Each bundle is about $200, so the whole thing came out to about $600...yikes! That being said, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this hair and think it was worth every penny. The hair is healthy, has a fantastic natural looking curl pattern to it, and looks D O P E when styled with a little bit of Catwalk Curl Amplifier Mousse. The 20in is plenty long, and if you have standard 1b/Black hair, it is a perfect match of hair color. I'm wearing my second install of the hair and it looks so natural and flawless, that nobody even knows it's a weave!!! Jennifer will meet you wherever you want too to deliver the hair if you're not able to make it to the store as well. Great service, great product! It's an investment but I'm a huge fan. read more

I'm updating this review because I wish I had guidance on hair purchasing when I first started purchasing hair outside of packaged hair. When I first purchased hair from here, I kept the hair in it's natural dark state. This hair is the BEST hair I've ever purchased (Quite some time). Shedding on this curly, damn near non-existent. A strand or two If Im combing it out... Can you straighten it? Hell yea. And nice too. I like my hair to look full and natural when it's straight. The texture straight is beautiful. Does it snap back?? ... YES!!! I wanted a new look with the same "good hair" quality so I went back and purchased some straight hair for a short bob style. My intention was to lift the natural dark hair color in efforts to dye the hair a grey. Definitely a no-no. I learned if you do not get blonde hair, lifting dark hair, even this great quality hair, will cause the hair to be hard, brittle, damaged, stiff.. Which is what happened to this brand new hair I bought. So back to my original bulks of curls I went. Which are still usable after 2- re-installs. I am noticing the curls are falling now, and I am getting some mild shedding. I still stand by this hair, it's outlasted all the hair I've ever purchased. read more

If I would have listened to the negative Nancy reviews on the pages for Lustful Hair that went against the grain - I would have not purchased hair from here. I am glad I stuck with intuition and purchased. The hair was packaged with care, treated well and shipped quickly. Cynthia was stellar with customer service and such an ease to talk to. If I could give this store zero stars, I would…read more As a Black woman, I have tried to give this establishment the benefit of the doubt, but after multiple uncomfortable experiences, I can no longer ignore what happened. The first incident involved staff closely watching another Black woman and her young child near the register. She was visibly uncomfortable and eventually left the store expressing that she felt targeted. When I addressed it, an employee attempted to dismiss the situation by offering me a small free item and quickly ushering me out. The second incident was far more serious. On Valentine's Day, I entered the store briefly to purchase hair clips. I was the only customer left inside when a female employee told me to "hold on" while speaking to another employee in another language. Shortly after, a male employee locked the doors while I was still inside the store. I was then questioned about a credit card dispute that I had absolutely no knowledge of. I am a frequent customer and had no reason to dispute any charge. I was pressured to pay and when I asked why they believed it was me, I was abruptly ushered out and the doors were locked behind me. Being locked inside a store and accused of something without explanation was frightening and deeply upsetting. No customer deserves to be treated this way. I encourage others to be aware of how they are treated

For more than 25 years, Deborah has been incredibly consistent. She always makes my hair look beautiful, but more importantly, she has always helped me keep it healthy. She has been through ALL my hair eras Blonde, brown, dark brown, almost black, and everything in between. One of my favorite looks was when she did my light brown hair with highlights. I would constantly get stopped by people asking where I got my hair done. That's actually how so many of my friends and colleagues ended up going to Deborah too, and many of them still go to her today. She is extremely talented with color, cuts, and beautiful extensions. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I came back for a refill, and two days later was in some of the most pain I've ever been in due to a cuticle infection. I voiced concerns that my skin was being cut, but they were shrugged off. After coming into the salon to show them the infection, the front desk staff was polite and helpful advising they would reach out to the owner and share photos they took of the nail. Days passed and I followed up again via phone as I didn't hear back. The owner of the salon requested PHI pertaining to the infection, including what Rx I was on, in order to even consider a refund. Initially, a gift card for the amount spent on the service was offered in lieu of a refund. I mentioned I was not comfortable receiving another service, and received a call back letting me know the owner was willing to grant a refund. Overall, the back and forth took about a week and a half. I was new to the entire gelx process, and am posting this review to let anyone else looking to embark on that journey know they should ask questions and voice their concerns. There are seemingly many happy patrons, but this was my individual experience.

It was time for my next set and i had the same great experience with Ebony, this time she booked me with Sheri. Another beautiful set of box braids using only my natural hair. She gave me a price for the style with cornrows up top and a separate price for the style with stitch braids (captured through text message). I paid a deposit to confirm my appointment. I was a new client and could not book online because the booking website was down. I also asked for a services and price list a couple times which I did not receive, so the only price I could go off of was the price the owner texted me. As soon as I walked in, my stylist began complaining that Ebony had told her I was coming right as she was leaving, asked why I couldn't come earlier despite my appointment being made a week in advance, and vented that she had plans to braid her grandson's hair. As a client, I'm not sure why I was told any of this. While I was getting my hair braided, Ebony texted saying I owed more than what we agreed on. I hadn't gotten the stitch braids or added a wash and blow dry, so I let her know what I actually owed based on our original quote. The stylist called Ebony and put me on the phone. Ebony admitted she made a mistake, said she didn't realize I was getting boho, and tried to add an additional charge. She gave several different reasons for the price increase including that she likes to give a range in case the client changes their style, which I didn't. I also pointed out that it wasn't really a range but rather one price based on whether I got cornrows or stitch braids. I asked her to clarify a couple of times because her reasoning wasn't making sense. She eventually told me she wasn't going to go back and forth because she has 5 babies at home. Not sure what that has to do with the pricing discrepancy. I told her I wasn't comfortable paying the new amount and would be sending what we originally agreed on. She said "don't even worry about it since you don't wanna send it, I'll make sure my stylist gets paid." At that point the stylist began full on screaming at me, calling me rude, disrespectful, etc. (captured on video). This was never about the difference in price. I would have gladly paid the amount had it been communicated to me upfront. You cannot retroactively increase a price after a service has already started because of a mistake you made and expect a client to be okay with that. There is nowhere you can go where that is acceptable. It is also never acceptable to scream at a client. It's so hard to find a good braider in LA and it's disappointing because myself and my whole family were hoping we could start coming here. 1 star because the stylist was talented and she apologized for screaming at me. Edit: I sent pictures of 2 styles, not 3. The first was the style with subtle boho to clarify what I wanted. The second was to clarify the length. (Also captured in text message). It's worth noting that the second photo did have fuller boho. If Ebony believed that picture indicated I wanted that style, that was her opportunity to clarify any additional charges before my service began. She didn't. It's also worth noting that my stylist confirmed Ebony sent her the correct reference photo, meaning there was no confusion about the style I was getting.

I had a 4:30 PM appointment to have shoulder-length Miracle Knots taken down and two braids installed. I did not leave until 11:30 PM. SEVEN HOURS. There is absolutely no reason a takedown and two braids should take that long. The woman doing my takedown had zero sense of urgency. After about four hours, I seriously considered stopping the service, going home, and finishing my own hair. I stayed because at that point I felt like I had already wasted so much time. This also wasn't my first issue here. On previous visits, I paid to have my hair washed and still went home with product caked around my edges and had to wash it again myself. What really sealed it for me was how the owner handled my complaint. The owner is out of the country, and instead of being able to properly address my complaint through email, she proceeded to send me multiple defensive voice notes. I repeatedly asked her to stop sending me voice notes, and she continued sending them anyway. Then, after I reached out about my experience, the owner proceeded to get on Instagram Live and discuss the situation. During our exchange, she also threatened legal action for defamation of character after I called her a narcissist. At that point I genuinely could not believe how far a simple customer complaint had escalated. This entire situation could have been avoided if my original complaint had simply been addressed. I reached out because seven hours for this service was unacceptable and I wanted a refund for the takedown portion. That was it. Instead, it turned into defensive voice notes, an Instagram Live, and threats of legal action. They also have you fill out and sign a paper survey while you are STILL in the salon in front of the staff. Then when you complain afterward, that signed paper gets brought up as if it proves you were satisfied. I personally felt pressured and uncomfortable being expected to give feedback on the spot. I'm in the service industry myself. Things happen. But how you respond when a customer brings you a legitimate concern says everything about your business. I paid for convenience and instead lost my entire evening and night. The way my complaint was handled afterward made the original experience even worse. Stay away. I will absolutely never return.

Instead, we got a lesson in standing...and waiting. Small shop, and a strong "you already should know what you're doing" vibe from the jump. Staff definitely saw us, but conversation came first, customers came... whenever I guess. When I finally spoke up with a simple "Hi, we're here for a wig, my sister and a hairbrush are enemies, and we don't know much about wigs." One staff member immediately disappeared to the back like she wanted no parts of our novice wig life. The other attempted to help, but only if you already speak fluent Wig Law 301. Because apparently there is a language called lace front density 180 HD melt cutout invisible illusion something something. We tried to slow it down. Translate it. Break it into "beginner wig people terms." That did not happen. Now let's talk try-ons. Despite a wall full of wigs, only a select few are actually available to try on. Fair enough sanitation, I get it. But then don't be shocked when people ask how they're supposed to choose between honey blonde, chestnut, caramel swirl, and blonde ambition without seeing it on their actual head. The official guidance we received was "Hold the wig up to your face and imagine." Imagine? For a purchase that can cost hundreds. At that point, I started to feel like we had accidentally entered an advanced seminar instead of a retail store. No suggestions. No "this shade might work better with your skin tone." No "let me help you find your first wig." Just wigs and no vibes. We left still not knowing anything about wigs, except this: if you are not already wig expert you don't need to shop here. If you're a seasoned wig wearer who already knows exactly what lace density you need and can install it in your sleep, you'll probably be fine. As a beginner, maybe binge social media and bring a translator and prayer team.

Patrick has also developed a hair care line that was used on my hair. The products smelled clean and not overwhelming. The wash was thorough and felt so good and relaxing. Hi Lisa, It's very…read moreimportant to know that I have been a client of your "stylist" for over 20 years. I was manipulated by my dad to give you guys a call during a very busy time in my life. I really wasn't going to call. By the time I made the call, Your "stylist" hung up the phone as well as my dad, after a year of talking with Chrissan, the stylist about making appointments. It was such a critical point in my life to have support that I am saddened that you or your "stylist" would not trust me as a client. I also mentioned that I was willing to make the appt when I had the money versus calling beforehand. This was also agreed upon before the text was received to make an appt. I think the text I sent was coerced by a professor, while I was in school. I probably would have waited for a more appropriate time had I not been in a fight with my dad. To add, a job change is not a reason not to do hair if the money was in hand, and that's all I was trying to confirm as this was agreed upon so I treated you the same as her. Your stylist should not only be transactional, especially when life changes. When the situation is solved, we are able to get back out there and handle our business, and most importantly go to work which takes our hair being done. This has not been the case for me. I think staying relational would have been a great help as I cannot keep doing this alone, as my dad over stepped my boundaries communicating with your stylist. I therefore just asked to be referred. As a client, my hair needs to be done. Your "stylist" along with a few other women are coercing me to be different and causing emotional distress. I hope that your salon can be professional and personal if thats what a client decides. It is my hope this conversation moves off line and into a space where real change surrounding this incident. I am still willing and open to move past this. Possibly you let me know what you prefer when making appointments although it seems intrusive now knowing the back story.
