I really love this place and try to get here as often as I can. The food is so amazing and so full of flavor! There are many options to choose from as well, with something for everyone. The curried options are my favorite...chicken and goat. The oxtails are also a hit, as well as the chicken wings with curried jerk sauce. The staff is great with taking your order and describing the available options. The owner is also a great person, making sure you have a great experience. The restaurant is located at the far end of the Food Lion shopping plaza. Plenty of available parking in the plaza. Inside the restaurant, there is a very cool Caribbean decor which makes you feel like you are in the islands. If you are looking for great, authentic Caribbean food, go to Antonny's!

The fried wings are terrible. Annthony's needs to go back to the grilled wings. I wouldn't have ordered had I have known upfront.

Imagine going to a Chinese restaurant in the pouring rain and seeing a Carribbean restaurant right next door to a side that you almost tripped over. Well that's exactly what happened. I walked in and looked at the menu and fell upon the fish dish. The waitress told me or would be 25 minutes for my dish and I told her that's fine... I will wait. Even the chef yelled from the kitchen did you tell them it would be 25 minutes. I yelled back she sure did Chef...so make it worthy of Yelp and the Gram. Man on Man was this dish worth it. Of a picture is worth a thousand words... I can stop writing my review now and just say LOOK AT THIS YA"LL

This was my first time trying the brown chicken and it was pretty good. It is not as spicy as jerk chicken but has a little kick. The sides were on point as well.

This is the rotisserie chicken, black eyed peas and rice and cornbread.

On this trip I tried the rotisserie chicken, cornbread & black eyes peas and rice. The white meat chicken was cooked perfectly! It was extremely tender and full of seasoned juices. The skin was soft and dripped of the tangy yet spicy sauce all throughout. Not too much; but enough to chase the meat with. The peas and rice had an incredible heat to them! Not in temperature; but in spice. They played well with the tangyness from the sauce. The cornbread was not a hit to me. I'm accustomed to sweet moist cornbread; and this was a little more stiff without the sweetness. Overall the meal was very satisfying!! My family enjoyed it.

OMG!!!! After searching grub hub for something different but taking caution because I've been down this road trying something new and was completely pissed for trying to step outside of my comfort zone, but my god i've found a new fav.The succulent ribs are delicious,The rasta pasta wasn't what i expected but still good,The cabbage was ok.( didnt care for the vinegar taste) and the portion was just a spoonful but overall great place to eat.I will definitely order again

Flights from Guatemala would arrive, and passengers would walk off the plane carrying bags of Pollo Campero. The aroma was unforgettable. Ever since then, I've been curious about what made this chicken so special. Fast forward to Charlotte, and now I finally understand the hype. I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the four-piece roasted chicken meal with sweet plantains, coleslaw, and a roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The chicken was juicy and packed with spices that set it apart from your typical fast-food chicken chain. It's hard to explain until you try it, but the seasoning has a distinctive flavor that makes Pollo Campero uniquely its own. The sweet plantains were excellent. Soft, caramelized, and sweet with those slightly crispy edges that make plantains so addictive. The coleslaw was cold, creamy, and crunchy, which paired perfectly with the chicken. The service was friendly, the value was excellent, and my order was accurate. I always take a moment to check my order before leaving the drive-thru, and everything was exactly right. If your fried chicken experience begins and ends with KFC, Bojangles, or Church's, give Pollo Campero a try. It's a delicious taste of Guatemala and a reminder that great chicken comes in many forms. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte.

Several excellent local restaurants, too. So I had high hopes today for Pollo Campero. PC was clean when I arrived at 12:30. Quite busy with about a third of the tables in use and the remaining were clear of dirty dishes. Surprising because they don't have a trash can that I could see - the staff bus and clean tables, clearing them swiftly. I ordered a three piece at the counter and it didn't take long until a running found my tent card and I was able to start. The chicken was thoroughly cooked, still moist. Not much for flavor in the skin today, it needed some hot sauce to bring out the taste. The cole slaw was creamy and crisp. Still good but also a little bland. The small dinner roll wrapped in plastic was fresh and fluffy. Overall, it's a nice little fast food spot. If you're looking for something in a known quantity along South Boulevard near the light rail, this will work nicely. [Review 728 of 2025 - 4162 in North Carolina - 24288 overall]
