Today I had a surgical procedure done at Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion and I have to say this place deserves 10 stars. Every single staff member I encountered was very professional, Helpful and Friendly. My procedure went well and the team of staff in recovery were the same as everyone else I encountered throughout the day Very Professional, Very Helpful and Very Friendly. These guys did right by me and I appreciate it very much. I suddenly found myself with a life threatening disease that I have been afraid of getting, all my life. I had multiple friends that got this disease that died. And this came out of the blue, not even a warning. But - Anschutz whisked me into evaluation by top-notch doctors and nurses and then into surgery and then into followup treatment, and it was all so fast and so well done that it turned the most fearsome thing I could think of into a much easier experience than I would ever have expected. I cannot say I liked everyone I ran into there, but I will say the vast majority of them were awesome, and even considering a couple of sour grapes, it was waaay better than I hoped for. Not every person you meet is going to be perfect for you, but even the slightly irritating ones were smart and expert and focused on doing what's right. And that's huge, and what I really needed. They had case managers checking in with me and they have an app I could log into at any time on my phone and check results, appointments, send messages to them, etc. So very organized but still keeping that personal interest in my case. I did go to their ER once and didn't care for that, I think the ER's closer to where I live are better because they get weird crowds at the ER at Anschutz, but for actual treatment of a medical issue not an ER visit, I highly recommend. It's been a year now, and although I would not call what I went through a "nothing burger", these people made it so seamless and so expertly dealt with that I'm confident in their ability to keep me and others safe and get you better. From a medical care perspective the hospital is wonderful. Surgeons are top notch, Doctors, Nurses and staff are friendly, professional, compassionate, and most importantly care about your recovery. Since it's yelp id be remiss to not mention the food. For a hospital it's not bad. Try the carrot cake from the cafeteria- it's very sweet but good. I will say during the week parking SUCKS so valet is the best option. It's free but even if you tip 5 or 10 bucks it's worth it. We all know being at the hospital isn't fun, but if you do, this is a good one. read more

I don't know of anyone who ever enjoys going to a hospital. I speak from experience. HOWEVER...as a patient at this Hospital, I have been beyond impressed with the entire staff. From the time I dropped my car off with the free valet, to the safety and customer service offered by the front desk everyone has treated me beyond wonderful. The knowledgeable and friendliness of the volunteers and staff makes navigating the process so much easier. I have been so impressed with the medical staff, nurses, doctors, specialists and everyone who makes up the health care team that I've worked with, has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. If you find yourself in need of an ER or other medical related services, I highly recommend UCHealth Anschutz's campus. read more

I have been here twice to help my friends mother with her appointment's and it is by far the worst system to park and drop off. I absolutely hate having to come here. The first time I came here I did Valet thinking it was the fastest way to get in and out of the hospital. My friend's mother has a wheel chair and pushing her across the campus didn't seem like the best idea. Once we were finished with our appointment it took close to an hour to get my car because of how disorganized and clustered the valet area is. This is the second time for our visit and I opted out of the valet option,but their "drop off/pick up" was backed up and no one was moving. Turns out there was an empty car holding up the line. There was no one to move the cars along, so I moved up to the end and needed to drop the mother off. It is snowing hard and didn't want to push her through all this snow. While I was unloading her the valet people kept honking at me. I understand it's for valet but no one was there to assist or take my car, and I'm not going to sit there like an idiot. Very rude valet and inpatient area. I would recommend going anywhere else if you can. If you must come here I'd recommend an hour to park and drop off. Even then it may not be enough time due to the lines for parking. read more

This is a awesome facility. We have some if the best Cancer Dr in the US and as good as they are the nurses are better. We have been in contact with 50 plus people who work here in some capacity. Not a single one has been mean, rude or short with us. This place could teach businesses how customer service should be done. The city of Denver and the state of Colorado should be very proud of UC Health. read more

Poor Alison had trouble parking. Busy? Yes. This place is busy because it is a GREAT Hospital. All people are super helpful, really good specialized medicine with the BEST Doctors. Check in people are sympathetic, fast and efficient. Pre Op folks want to make you calm and comfortable. Post Op folks are caring and attentive. Doctors are top in their fields. Never saw a frown, all employees happy to work in such a great place. I've had 14 surgeries in past year, unfortunately, so I know of what I speak. Also had to go to outpatient pavilion almost weekly, and again this is an excellent hospital. You are safe here. read more
