Lovely people and so willing to help. I stopped by because the clasp on my necklace broke. I was told by another jeweler that I would have to leave it for a week until they could get to it. (My daughter passed away and the necklace is a pendant with her fingerprint so I really didn't want to leave it somewhere. ) I stopped at Anspach and they did it immediately. The man who helped me literally said " It will take me longer to walk to the back room to my tools than it will to fix it. I'll do it right now for you." I went in last week to get my watch battery replaced. I expected to have to leave my watch for at least a few days and perhaps pay $25 or more. Instead, the friendly staff did it in less than 10 minutes for $10. While I "waited" I had a chance to see their beautiful selection of jewelry, much of it custom. I found this place online and went based on the positive reviews as I had a wedding band that needed to be enlarged (injured my finger and knuckle prevented ring from fitting). Met both Greg and Ty and they were both super friendly and made me feel like they had all the time for me. Recommendations were made for me for both my band and engagement ring as they felt only my band needed to be slightly enlarged. They also polished my ring and reshaped it as it was banged up a bit and no longer circular. They quoted me a time, apologizing for the longer than normal turnaround time and gave me a slip for pickup. When the band was ready, they gave me a call to let me know. Price was very reasonable and I am so happy to be able to wear my rings again. This store is very clean, has nice displays (makes me want to buy more jewelry!), welcoming staff and fantastic customer service. Customer service, none existent. Went into this place about 10 months ago to give them a try to service my watch. The price was very reasonable although it took two weeks to complete after they told me it would be a week. No special parts just service. Went to pick it up after they called and it took 20 minutes before anyone would even acknowledge me. One person was helping another customer although they seem to be chatting more about the weather and other things than doing business. The other person behind the counter was on the computer and i tried getting her attention and she said someone will be with me soon. I was actually also looking to buy something for my wife for her birthday, around $500, but changed my mind. Two weeks ago my wife brought my other watch to them for service, she forgot about my previous experience, and this time they didn't' even want to service the watch which was a 1990's Invicta Swiss made watch worth about $300. He told her he didn't want to waste his time on the Japanese watch. I can understand if that was true, but at least know your watches. Brought the watch somewhere else and I asked that jeweler to verify that it was a Swiss movement inside and he did confirm it; i was standing right there. My guess is that unless you have a long standing relationship with this place, forget going the place. read more

After shopping around at all the commercial jewelry stores in the area for an update on my wedding ring, I decided to try Anspach's Jewelry after walking by it on the street. I came in to the store with a pencil drawing of what I wanted and they didn't even laugh!! (I'm no artist.) They brought my custom ring to life from my drawing first with a 3D wax casting and then with white gold. They incorporated all of my diamonds from my original wedding band and engagement ring and the end result is a ring that is so spectacular I was actually speechless for a moment! Took my Citizen eco drive watch in for a battery replacement. They looked it over, told me that it doesn't have a battery, but a capacitor that may wear out over time, but likely wasn't the issue. They got it to take a charge from sitting in the sun, and brought it back to life at no charge to me (pun intended). It's nice to know there are still places around that really take care of their customers. And now I know where to go for future needs, and that I don't need to worry about them just taking my money, which they could have easily done. read more

Horrible. I took a beloved ring in for a simple resize; the jeweler quoted me the price ($40) and said it would be ready Monday. Tuesday, day after it was to be ready, I got a call telling me that in order to resize the ring it would now cost an additional $125, for a grand total of $165. I said "no" and that I'd come in the following day to pick it up. When I went in the ring was in pieces -- they'd cut the shank (part that goes around the finger) off, so now the ring is obviously unwearable and in pieces. So because of their mistake, I get to spend money just to put it back the way it was. They didn't think they'd done anything wrong. Really? Let me see: 1) did a bait and switch, 2) hadn't even started the job by the time it was supposed to be completed, 3) destroyed the piece of jewelry with which I'd entrusted them. read more
