This involves a discussion, either in person or by phone, to attempt to resolve the issue without court intervention. The meet and confer must occur at least five days before the responsive pleading is due. The defendant's attorney lied and said she tried to reach me by phone! The demurrer automatically gave her 30 days more to file her answer to my complaint. I checked my cell phone records for a call from that attorney, and there was no record of a call. I called the attorney and asked her to send me her phone record. She sent me her phone record, and the call was only 4 seconds long! She dialed my number and hung up immediately. She didn't have her answer ready so she lied in order to get 30 more days to respond. She committed perjury, and I charged her with perjury in my complaint! The clerk at the Antelope valley courthouse accidentally filed the limited case at their courthouse. Michael Antonvich in Antelope valley does not handle limited court cases, so the case was transferred to the Spring Street courthouse in Los Angeles. The commissioner that heard the case was not interested in the fact that the attorney committed perjury! My case was against a government agency. When big money government agencies are involved, the lying crooked judges and commissioners will take bribes! I am sure most people have watched Judge Mathis. He has thrown out many cases for perjury! In fact, under this civil code perjury is mentioned!

I came to visit friends that weren't going to trial so I can say - listen, if you have to go to this courthouse... you have no idea what a hassle it is to go to other courthouses in LA County. This one at least has parking, friendly and helpful staff and a very new, clean facility. I also felt safe there. It's hot as hades there but... that really isn't the courthouse's fault. You're in the high dessert. Bring sunscreen. I got a tan just driving there.

I dedicated so much time and effort to go through those classes and graduate and receive a certificate just to get dismissed like nothing. As though I didn't matter nor have a say. If you enter this facility as a soon-to-be divorced father I've got some really bad news for you: You are about to experience an unimaginable level of injustice and bias, regardless of who you are as a person. Your distinguished career as a continuously employed hard-working individual does not matter, and your spotless record as a law-abiding citizen does not matter. Even if you don't drink alcohol, don't do illegal drugs, don't gamble, and you were never unfaithful to your soon-to-be ex-wife, none of this matters to this courthouse. Most importantly, it does not even matter how good of a father you are. The only thing that matters to this courthouse is that you are a man, and because of this you are highly unlikely to be granted sole custody, primary custody, or even equal custody of your own children. I was once naive, and I believed that the world was fair. Unfortunately, while here, I suddenly became aware of lawyers, mediators and even judges prepared to make decisions against you based on their antiquated belief that mothers are better parents than fathers. It is even more unimaginable to realize that most courthouses maintain this ridiculous belief, especially considering the progress toward equal rights this country has made over the last 70 years. Unfortunately, what most divorcing fathers will first experience will be initiated by the lawyers, most often with the mother's lawyer demanding sole or primary custody of the children. This initial legal bias is baffling, and most often leaves the father surprised that he must advocate for his own equal rights. Most importantly, regardless of what the lawyers bring before the court, the judge in a family law custody case should seek justice and equality, and should strive for what is in the best interest of the children. For my case, the judge in this courthouse did not. And unfortunately, I later discovered that this is typical for most family law judges in this country. So yes, I took the blue pill for most of my life, just believing everything that society told me about reality. Upon entering this courthouse, I still believed that my honorable, ethical and fatherly characteristics mattered. I was tragically wrong, and I was rudely awakened to the reality of the discrimination against fathers in our U.S. family law system (aka, being forced to "take the red pill"). Unlike this courthouse, I strongly believe that the presumption should be 50/50 (or equal) shared parenting in all cases, and this should be enforced unless unusual circumstances dictate otherwise. While here, with this strong belief, I also learned that it does not matter how much you "fight for your kids" as a father in this courthouse. Unfortunately, I spent hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to prove I was a good father, fighting tirelessly in what I now realize was an unwinnable battle. But, why does a father have to prove he is a good parent at all? Shouldn't the burden of proof be reversed? Shouldn't we just presume a father is a good parent unless proven otherwise? Finally, let me emphasize this sad truth: I am not alone; My tragic circumstances are not unique. Millions of other fathers in this country have been unjustly treated, just like me. Sadly, there is an elusive corruption in this system, hidden from most folks unless they happen to be a father going through the process of a divorce. This family law system provides an alluring financial incentive for divorcing mothers to demand dominance over their children because this action almost always maximizes the financial gain of everyone within this corrupt family law system in the process. These actions are led by most courthouses in this country every day, year after year, just as it was at this specific courthouse for me. Nationwide, there are millions of victims here, and sadly my children are now among them. Unfortunately, my children will not be blessed with the advantage of having frequent and easy access to their loving father, for a role model, for a positive influence, for support, for guidance, for encouragement, and for many other beneficial qualities that most fathers provide. They were denied that right, and I was denied my right of spending equal quality time with my own children. Unfortunately, now my children will spend the vast majority of their time with one selfish parent that has made false allegations about my character, even at the expense of our own children's well-being, all while this courthouse turned a blind eye. Therefore, this courthouse is well-deserving of a 1-star rating for its injustice served, and for submitting to the family law corruption that dominates most of this country. Open your eyes. See the inequality. Take the red pill.

I just cringe every time I go to that window and I pray that she's not the person that comes up there to help me. I really think she needs to take a Customer service course because to work with people on a daily basis you have to be nice. Not rude and talk to people like they're idiots. A truck dropped a bunch of items onto the highway and my vehicle had to take a hit and all I was trying to do was go to a wedding. On my way back, I received one of the most expensive tickets you can get. A carpool violation. I was stressed, I had anxiety, but I prayed and went forward, and the Lord answered. I was connected to some of the nicest people in the office. A live person answered the call shared with me what I need to do to resolve the situation and assisted me and asking for things like traffic school, an extension, and even the reduction in my fines. I'm glad that the matter is now being resolved and I am so grateful. I hope you all in the office know that what you do matters and every phone call you answer can help alleviate pain and stress from somebody's life.
