Be prepared to wait, especially if you don't have an appointment. I walked in at 11 a.m. on a Wednesday in January to obtain a Veterans Service Verification Form to get "Veteran" displayed on my CA driver's license. I wasn't seen until 12:26, nearly 1.5 hours later. The appointment itself took 7 minutes. There was only one person seeing people, appointments and walk-ins alike. Other employees seemed to be milling about in the hallway; I'm not sure what was keeping them busy. The receptionist and the VSO were both friendly and helpful, but there was still no indication of how long I'd have to wait for such a short request. The office isn't open on weekends and only from 8 to 4:30 weekdays, so if you need service and you have a regular job, be prepared to take at least half a day off work. read more

these guys are a bunch of clowns. I called for help and was told they would help me. They said they knew people that that worked in the area that I needed help in. I waited patiently for a time so that I could the help. I told the V.A. Employee that I suffered from a Traumatic Brain Injury and was rated at 100 percent. I tpld him that I had called these people multiple times only to be transfered to multiple areas and that it was taking a toll on me. He said he understood. The day that I expected to get help, The person who told me he could help me got another IDIOT involved who said they could not! I do NOT understand people who don"t get it. Especially at a Veterans center. I cannot deal with the run around BULLSHIT anymore because of my TBI. So if you Cannot do something, just tell me that in the FIRST place. Do Not string me along! Maybe you people that work at the V.A. Center need to go to classes to understand the condition of the people you may be talking to so you Know what the F is going on! read more

I walked in to an empty office. After a few minutes waiting I asked about employment help. I was told they help mainly combat veterans. I served 16 years and was denied assistance because I am a woman and most likely, in their minds had not served in combat. I felt they were too busy having their convo and didn't want to be interrupted. read more

The veteran center id a wonderful place for our veteran seeking counseling services suffering from PTSD. Dalia, Cecil, and Julio are wonderful and treat our veterans with respect and dignity. Remember the county veteran service office is a separate entity that shares an office there as well. read more

The individuals that are in this office are super helpful. They went out of their way to answer my questions giving me phone numbers, form numbers and other resources to assist the Korean War Veteran in need. I then called back requesting other info and within minutes I had it via email. read more
