A client had an event here the other night and it was terrific. I had no idea there was a winery in the AV, much less something as cute and cool as this! The space for parties is large and has a stage. We could decorate as we wanted and also bring in our own food. We had our guests grab drinks at the bar area in the front and that worked out fine. They have many options besides wine and everyone was having fun tasting. If you need to have an event in the AV, this is the place to go. Service was so friendly and helpful. There is ample parking. I remember coming here years ago for a wine tasting with my husband and my in-laws. I remember it used to be cold and impersonal, nothing special or welcoming about it. Now that it's under new ownership, they definitely did a facelift on the front of the building. Aesthetically, it looks way better on the inside. They opened up the back of the building to larger groups and parties, special events, and they even have a comedy club on Friday and Saturday nights. They have a farmer's market once a month, too. In terms of their wine selections, it was meh. I didn't think they were that great in terms of options and flavors, and their cheeseboard can definitely use more variety. Side note: The staff needs to be trained a bit more regarding wine recommendations and pushing memberships for the wine club. Looks small as you enter but dont be fooled there is a large room in the back! They are prepping a large wood burning pizza oven outside They did let us bring dessert in but not our o2n food. I was really disappointed with my experience at this comedy show. Throughout the entire performance, there was constant talking and noise in the background from people around the venue, which made it difficult to hear the comedians and enjoy the show. It felt like there was little effort to control the distractions, and it took away from what should have been a fun night out. I came expecting to laugh and enjoy the performances, but instead I spent most of the time frustrated trying to hear over the conversations. With 2 kiddos 2 and under getting out with my husband just us 2 is such a treat. We don't live in the area we have family here. Since we knew the kiddos were taken care of we decided to have a little wine tasting date just my husband and I. We chose this place based on the convenience of it being so close to us. We had an amazing experience. We learned a lot. We're given wonderful service and are now looking forward to having dates here as often as our visits to the area permit. I absolutely recommend this place. We learned they have a wood fire pizza as well however we went pretty early and didn't get a chance to experience their pizza. I don't know how to feel about this place. The wines are okay and ciders are changeable. However I came on a Sunday with my friends (total of 4) and started up our experience since it's all our first time doing this experience here. Area is nice and orchards look cute nothing too much though, oh there is a gazebo which is cool. Once we got our drinks we started enjoying our time and then ordered a charcuterie board. It was good but of course we are feeling the drinks and want food. Come to find out NO FOOD. From the website and information we gathered we understood there was food of some sort SO, we ordered pizza from a local vender, as most vineyards allow outside foods. Once delivered instead of a kind warning of a policy of no outside food, we received a loud confrontation. So instead I put my pizza in my car, because of the tone I was spoken to by the worker. Instead of going back inside to purchase more of the Rose we were enjoying, we just left. REVIEW IN TOTAL is the Rose good, service is good depending on who you get, the first two employees were nice and a total vibe. And just buy one glass and go somewhere they sell food and drinks. read more

I went and saw one of my favorite bands a few weeks ago, called Cervantes who were playing in the big room at the winery. It was my first time at the winery and I have to say I thoroughly enjoy the alcoholic cider, especially the one called Pog. The place was packed and it was hard to get an order taken. I'm disabled and use a walker so you can't get around to the big tables and things set up. I would've liked to have tried a charcuterie tray but couldn't get anyone's attention so I just have my glass of cider and a glass of water and enjoy the evening. I would definitely go again, but take a friend with you. It's hard to go alone and get around if you're disabled I do hope they bring the band back. That was really fun and I hear they have comedy nights too. May have to check that. read more

Did the 1pm Saturday wine tour at Antelope Valley Winery surounded by a vinyard along with outdoor seating spots. The front room housing the bar can get fairly crowded with locals sitting at the high bistro tables for conversation & a glass of wine. We initially started with a 4 flight wine choosing between a sweet or more dry wine selection on their sampling menu. Super Yelper Isobel L. also ordered a lovely Charcuterie & Fromagerie board along with crackers, brined olives, grapes, chocolate pretzels. The tour of the inner workings started about 2pm. That's when the charm of Antelope Valley Winery came into full bloom. The owner-tour guide, who is also into tech, was charming, informative, warmly hospitable taking us through the wine making process specific to his winery. Along the way, we sampled a bottle of red and two reds in the making from his temperature controled stainless steel barrel, and a very limited edition of rich, excellent Zinfandel in oak which we sampled from the bung hole. In order to get a real feel of what makes this winery tick is to take this tour where even the daughter also takes active interest in the family business and interacts with dad during the tour. One staff member was so kind, and she approached us in the midst of the tour to remind that it was 3pm. Isobel had earlier informed her that we had to leave around 3pm to go on to another event. This tour was so fun, we decided to stay till the conclusion of the tour a few minutes later. Very worthwhile tour that can be prepaid on their website. I'm looking forward to sampling a limited edition Merlot resting in oak that will be transferred to a Bourbon cask in the near future. Tour rating only: 4 stars read more

The people working the front were very helpful and informative about how everything worked and guided us through the wine choice selection. Long story short they cut a lot of the wine varieties and discontinued other wines That were amazing . Sad to see go and it's not that great anymore in my opinion and it's a lot more expensive I'd have no issue paying for good quality but if it terrible i can't ... but the weird salt looking stuff inside this made me think twice about drinking this .I haven't seen wine have any residue ever ? Loved it! Stopped by real quick after dinner to check it out. Hadn't planned on staying but it was so nice! Met up with some old friends, the music was awesome. I wanted to like this place because it's dog friendly and local but when I asked the older Caucasian lady serving for a small taster of a beer (as I don't want to buy a full glass and not like it) she made a face and refused. I was under the impression that they explain the wines as we taste but I guess since covid it's more of a self type of winery meaning you are own your own after receiving the wine. The Antelope Valley Winery had really transformed from the old country looking gift shop with cranky sommeliers to a modern and bright desert wine destination. The AV Winery has new owners and new staff. The improved staff are knowledgeable wine stewards with a passion for craft, the history, the taste and most of all for the Antelope Valley. Finally someone has made a local alternative for Paso Robles. We tried the flights. I ended up loving their Malbec and Syrah. The made the charcuterie board to order. We made the smart decision to take a Lyft there and back because we were all a little tipsy after all that good wine. This is a great place for a date, hanging out with friends and bringing visitors who love wine. FYI: They also make delicious cider and are working on getting licensed for beer. So like, YIKES! Me and a girl friend came in today, inside there were 3 other's. No greeting, no customer service, just a blank judgmental stare. As we waited patiently going over the wine list on the counter, a very loud woman called her manager disclosing All the previous customer's information. Granted, she could've stepped out from behind the counter, but decided to shout in our faces over talking us discussing what wines we might like. This woman literally stood in front of us (not acknowledging us). After waiting about 15mins of just being stared at (they didn't say one word to us) we went outside to the dining area, hoping we could get some help. It was closed, so we left, and went to yardhouse. Not sure if they were extremely stressed about the three customers they had, don't like women or just have zero customer service skills but..this place has had two strikes with me and my (cute friends) coming here and being treated poorly by the older women behind the counter.
