We end up staying for hours just chillin with the vibe. There's music most Saturdays with talented local artists. We tried 5 amazing tasting wines plus a souvenir cup and cheese and crackers of your Choice. It was delightful for sure! The service was absolutely the best! Helen and Lee was so amicable with exceptional service. They are husband and wife that are hard workers and run GSV smoothly. They are very welcoming and Helen makes you feel at home and gave us a brief history on Golden Star Vineyards. It has been there since 2006 and thriving since then! The ambiance is very intimate and inconspicuous for sure. It seems like it's nothing around when your driving up, but it's quite a treat once you enter the winery. Place is Located in Littlerock Ca, near Palmdale and very cute and quaint, which makes it very personable. Today they had live music and the singer was great! She played all the cuts for sure. This place is good for a good time with your friends or significant other. It gives a very romantic vibe for sure! It's a nice chill atmosphere and if you need WiFi they will give you their code if your out of service. They also have parking right on the lot for you. I will definitely come back here! Carlos P definitely needs to give Golden Star another try because this winery should be called Golden 5 Star Winery. This has been the most warm, welcoming winery I have ever been to. Helen, Lee, and Heather are incredibly kind. Everyone who walks in the door is encouraged to be themselves, unapologetically. My family has been coming here for years and they brought me here for the first time and as someone who lives in Los Angeles, I felt seen and heard the whole time I was here. Wife and I were excited to visit a new place to drink wine and have fun, but extremely disappointed when arriving and trying to greet people and staff then left standing with no response at all. We waited to be attended to, but were left standing. After seeing, we sadly left and went about our hunt for a winery that would accept our presence and money. My aunt took us to this vineyard as a nice gesture and this place was outstanding. The owners Lee and Helen were very welcoming and had some great tasting of wines. The purple rain tasting was my favorite. We had five tastings and all were good. They have a Groupon also for (4) people with five tastings and a free glass with snacks. The place is very clean with a cool atmosphere. Certain days they have music and food trucks. I would go back and do more tastings. I had a great time. The Owner's Helen and Lee welcome you with hello and glad to see you when you arrive. The wines are wonderful. They have a wide range of reds and whites and champagne. The place is cozy with wine barrels, all along the walls. Frequently they have someone playing music or or a small band for entertainment. Lee and Helen are super nice people. We love that they have live music on the weekends. We've been away from their tasting room for a few years and just joined their wine club and are looking forward to reconnecting with their wines. I'll report back with more thoughts after I taste some more. They welcome bringing your own snacks, picnics, etc. I've seen sometimes they have a food truck. They have a very clean portapotty. Here's hoping guests keep it that way! I've also seen Cornhole for when the temps cool. If you have a well-behaved kiddo and bring activities to keep them busy then it's cool to have them there. We found Golden Star Vineyards on Groupon, and we took a nice little drive north to Little Rock to try it out. Located out in the desert, Golden Star Vineyards is a little haven in the middle of nowhere. We were greeted at the door by winemakers, Helen and Lee Williams. They welcomed us in and got us right to tasting. We brought snacks, and our Groupon included a little charcuterie board that they provided. Right after we started tasting, there was live music. The performers played oldies and we found ourselves singing along to almost every song. Helen even provided Kopi with a blanket to keep her warm on the winery floor. We took our time tasting their wines (which were all delicious and many of which have won awards in prestigious wine competitions). We got a taste of the 2019 Zinfandel and LOVED it, so naturally we bought a bottle. If you have some free time, go support Helen and Lee at Golden Star Vineyards. Their wines are great, their tasting is affordable, and you will leave smiling. The Steikers loved this place, and we are sure to go back sometime in the near future! read more

GSV is my favorite little winery in the Antelope valley. Lee and Helen are masterful vinters as well as great people. My absolute favorite is "Purple Haze"--which is alone worth the trip. This is a diamond in the rough. A drive through the desert surprises with a postage stamp sized vineyard. But they put out some great wines. The hosts are very hospitable. Their estate Tempranillo is delicious. We also bought their Chardonnay. And we can't wait for the Merlot to be bottled. read more
