Anthem Community Park is the place to be. So many fields, courts, and places where you and your family can visit. The community center is only for Anthem residents and there is little to no enforcement for the actually park which is why I can only give it 4 stars. read more

This is my (and my puppy's) favorite park to walk around in. I don't live in the area but do come to Anthem twice a week. This park is clean because most of dog owners are good about picking up after their dogs. The ducks are nice touch as well. They also have Sunday farmers market here which is always fun. I haven't used their water park but looks like the kids and teenagers really take advantage of it. read more

What a great park. My son is a train fanatic so we had to go and check the train out. We rode it twice, what a cool thing to have in a city park. It's $4 to ride and a 14 ride pass can be bought at a discount. The park is clean even considering the lakes and ducks, the sidewalks must be washed every day. We have parks with lakes in Vegas but they are all covered in poop I don't even bother to go. You guys in Phoenix should feel lucky to have a place like this you can take your kids too. read more

When I first visited Anthem and fell in love with the community, the park is where it all evolved! My kids really enjoy visiting the park during the spring and fall while the weather is bearable in AZ. :) They kids like the jungle gym area, the water park, the train of course, fishing, and playing at the volleyball courts. There is also a nice skate park that is normally filled with kids doing their tricks and riding skateboards, but luckily for me (injury wise) my kids are not into that. The community park does an excellent job at coordinating family events often. There are events like for Easter, Music in May, 4th of July, autumn festival and a lot more. We normally go to the events, they are really fun. If you ever visit I suggest you swing by.....perhaps literally! read more

Awesome place for the kids! BEAUUUUUUTIFUL place! There are ducks in the pond that my daughter enjoyed feeding! There is a great train that rides around the nice, green, grassy park. Came here twice. Every time the staff was nice. Life guards are a little freaky. I mean really do you have to turn around and stare at me every min? Not one life guard but all of them! I grew up with this park. I remember when it first opened and I thought it was the coolest place ever. The equipment got pretty old and nasty, but they have since replaced it and all the play stuff is actually really nice. The parking situation is pretty good and you're right by everything for a quick lunch or something to drink. Minus the obviously grossly dyed water, the grass and pond area is nice. Of course Anthem is known for the hellish HOA who will ticket you for not having anything wrong with your yard or for having an American Flag hanging. Anyways, I will NEVER RETURN TO THIS PARK. My husband, daughter, son and I as well as our two dogs (VERY well trained and ON LEASH) had been at the park maybe four or five minutes. Upon entering the area, we walked by a group of individuals who were very obviously anti-military (vet husband) and anti-women functioning in society. They glared at us and our children as we peacefully walked by. Everyone else in the park was sweet and commented on how cute our dogs are. We were all sitting peacefully in a shaded area near the pond. A maintenance member (very sweet) pulled up and told us that "someone...a guy" nearby had said that he saw our dog crap and we just left it. I told him how we had just entered the park, showed him our doggie bags and told him we knew exactly who it was. He insinuated that we were right and apologized profusely for accusing us of something we obviously didn't do as no one else could verify this. Considering we were sitting by people and there was no dog poop anywhere. The people who accused us couldn't actually show the member where any poop was so really accusing us was stupid, but I digress. Anyways, not five minutes later, a community center employee pulls up to us in a golf cart and says, "At this park we have a rule that you pick up your dog's"... I lost it. I told him the situation and how I was mocked because my shoulders were showing and my husband had a deployment IR flag on his hat and a veteran's suicide awareness shirt on. I mentioned how I have two very young kids, one still crawling, and why would I leave poop where my kid would crawl anyways (the magically invisible poop). P.S. I have a 100 pound dog, you'd see his crap. Anyways, he asked if we knew who it was and I said that I did but I wouldn't point fingers but that he could guess. He said absolutely and that he absolutely believed us and these horribly prejudice and rude, disgusting excuse for community members were a disgrace and unbelievable. He also apologized profusely and said if they even mention anything to us to call immediately and that he would instantly intervene. His exact words were, "this is going to be a vicious cycle" because they were shameful. Anyways, you call this a friendly community. While the park is nice and even has a VETERAN'S MEMORIAL with my grandfather's name, I have had some fairly terrible experiences here including being harassed for letting my daughter play when she was "too young to play". What? Anyways, good luck. There are a few judgey $40k millionaires who hate everything about everything, want to ruin it for everyone and feel that they walk on water. Sorry for those awesome community members that have to share their community with these hellish assholes. read more

Decent park. I mean.... It looks nice. But it is just looks. The kids area is absolutely packed on the weekends. There are better parks in the area as far as the level of crowded goes. Long list of rules and the Park security quick to tell you that you can't do this or that. Also, no conceal carry weapons? Lame. This is Arizona, not California. Don't make a victim or criminal out of people who just want to exercise their rights and protect themselves and their families. The bad guys don't care about your gun rules. read more

Great designed park!!! So many things to do from Riding a train to fishing or just feed the ducks and go for a walk thru the park. !!

I never knew this place existed seeing as I never get up this way. The park is very spacious with a cool little train that you can take your kids on as it takes a mini tour around the park. It is very easy to reserve a gazebo area if needed and depending on the size you want, you can have your pick. All in all, I will definitely be back again with some friends to have a picnic soon! read more

One of the reasons we wanted to move to Anthem was after we saw how much the ACC has for all residents-whether they're babies or elderly! We love the free concerts in May, I love Janet and her water aerobics and the gym is great. My grandkids LOVE the waterpark, parks in general and the splash pads. I'll update my rating once they fix the horrendous bee problem they have!!! We couldn't even enjoy ourselves without worrying about getting stung everywhere we went. Bees at the train station, during the ride, at the playground, and especially around the trash cans. It was miserable. Went biking around the area and stopped here. Its just a beautiful, clean park. You can picnic there also; a family type place. They have a cute train that goes around an area of the park. There is also a park ranger that drives around to check things out. Very safe and clean. read more

Beautiful park! I enjoy walking around the lakes, so pretty! My kids used to love the playground when they were little.

My family loves this park! Its always nice and clean, and the various little fishing ponds make you feel like you are not in the middle of the desert. I like to walk around the park with the stroller because I feel safe. The only thing they are missing is an area with infant style swings. There is one small park near some basketball courts that is pretty outdated that has two regular swings, but they are usually occupied. They updated the big major playground area recently and it's really nice, but it is now geared towards more older kids. It makes me really nervous letting my 3 year old play on parts of it. They do however have a small playground set for young toddlers. I haven't been there in a awhile, but they redid the little splash pad area near the playground as well. It looks really nice. We like looking at the Ducks and riding the train too. I can't wait until the weather cools down a bit so we can go back. read more
