Updated review: the court surface is getting worse. Someone has filled in cracks w grout/cement and done a good job, but two of the four courts suffer for odd bounces. Secondly, lighting on two of the four courts is noticeably worse. These are the original ones the city installed decades ago. Does anyone know who the city council person for this area is?

This is a larger than average park well located at Cactus and 36th st. There's tennis, basketball, baseball courts, swimming pool, soccer field. Pluses: Large park, police patrolled, various sports fields, pool, plenty of parking, excellent mountain views south and west. Minuses: Alot of trash, very rundown facilities need replacing, poor maintenance. I saw several city workers just standing around while a nice community volunteer was picking up the trash. The city workers are paid well and should do this as well instead of just standing around. Recommended park.

We love roadrunner Park! So much so that we ended up moving here a few years ago (only a couple houses away takes 2 minutes to walk). Plenty of parking, lots of activities (not only on the weekends either), and there is much to do for everyone. The kids love the playground almost as much as my wife loves our picnics in the open grass! Go for a brisk walk around the 1 mile loop, go fishing in the large pond, jump around on the playground, go visit the farmers market on Saturday mornings, relax in the open field, watch the teams play soccer or baseball. Lots to do at this beautiful park! Go visit!

Went magnet fishing here. I didn't find much here for magnet fishing but this is great news for regular fishing. The water is great for regular fishing! It has a swimming pool for the summer. It has a great playground. The woman's bathroom ceiling needs repaired. https://youtu.be/NNhEeISz3jQ

This park will be great once they finish renovating it. Right now there are many construction zone areas and the pond is being renovated. Ducks have been relocated to the swimming pool. You can still walk around but the grass is mostly dead and the restrooms are also being renovated.

Great park for walking dogs. My dogs love people and everyone is always friendly with them. They sit and wait for people to come say hi! It's cute. Yes, I have cute dogs. Love walking along the pond. Funny to watch Pokémon go people.

The garden is well maintained and organized, quiet place for give yourself quiet time and meditation. The garden is not that big place to walk around, but it's definitely worth it if you feel like need to escape and looking for nature therapy--this is the one! Give yourself more time to sit back and enjoy the greenery. The staff is super friendly and welcoming! I will definitely come back again soon.

But personally, I just don't see it being worth the price of $14 a person. One of the biggest things for me was that the actual area itself felt a lot smaller than I expected. On top of that, there were SO many people packed in that it was hard to even stop for a second and actually enjoy the ambiance without constantly being surrounded by crowds or trying to move around people. It kind of took away from the experience because instead of feeling immersive or relaxing, it mostly just felt overcrowded. What also made it hard for me to justify the price is that you can literally see the entire thing through the fence from the park next to it. Honestly, if I ever wanted to see it again, I'd probably just go sit at the park, save my money, and actually have more room to enjoy the view comfortably without feeling packed in shoulder to shoulder with everyone else. Overall, it's definitely very pretty and visually impressive, but for me personally, the experience didn't match the cost enough to make me want to return.

I'd give the cleanliness and overall park quality a 10/10. There's something for all ages, and it's easy to spend a whole afternoon there. The train is definitely cute and fun for kids, but it's a bit overpriced at $5 per ticket, even for a one-year-old. Unfortunately, our experience with the train staff really took away from it. The woman taking tickets was extremely rude and didn't speak to us at all -- no hello, no eye contact, no thank you, nothing. It honestly felt like she didn't want to be there or interact with families. I was trying to make it a fun moment for my child by having them hand over the ticket, but they actually got scared and hid behind me. The woman selling the tickets, on the other hand, was very kind and welcoming. The park itself can also get very crowded, and we noticed older kids sometimes take over the younger kids' play areas, which can make it hard for little ones when there's roughhousing or inappropriate language. That's not really the park's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you have small children. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting at least once because it's a beautiful space with tons to do. I personally prefer smaller neighborhood parks for a calmer experience, but Anthem Community Park is great in terms of facilities. The biggest areas for improvement would be crowd management in the play areas and better, more family-friendly staffing for the train.

We've had some bad experiences with wasp infested splash pads lately but this one was not bad at all, I think I saw one flying around. Definitely a good amount of shading here, making it nice for the summer. My son had a lot of fun and this park was super clean and not overly crowded. Would definitely recommend and will come back again,
