Our favorite park! We've had every bday party here for each of our kids for the last 6 years. There's a big grassy area for dogs, although not fenced. A large turf yard for kids and they can turn the sprinklers on... we've played lots of soccer and rugby here. The playground is great because it's fully covered, soft and rubbery with a and pit. The bathrooms are some of my faves built up with rocks and open air. Their are two basketball courts side by side so it's a large cement area for kids to skate and scoot. The hiking trail that goes around is short and nice with great views. I love that there are metal trash cans for trash and recycle. Also plenty of built in seating and a dog drinking fountain. Great spot! This park has something for everyone! There's a nice shaded area for kids, there is grassy dogs area, a path for walkers, well lit basketball courts and hiking trails galore! There are clean bathrooms and a large parking area. Open til 10pm read more

What a fantastic hidden gem! And I mean hidden! Google maps doesn't take you to this park, it takes you to the street just south so you'll have to go north and you'll see the entrance from the street. My daughter and I both take American ninja warrior classes (thanks yelp Elite event for getting me hooked!) and we're always on the lookout for parks that will let us practice holding ourselves up with different grips. This park absolutely rocked! Firstly I don't think I've ever seen a playground that was 100 shaded and I mean real shade! Not like those canvas style covers that only work somewhat well. It was very pleasant and quiet. The playground itself was awesome. There is a jungle gym...wait this is 2018...there is a rainforest gym ;-) that you have to go from 1 side to the other without touching the ground. It was pretty difficult for the kiddos so it's something they can get better at as they grow. Just had to try it myself and it was really fun. Just like in ninja you have to find a way through that works best for you. Next they have the most well.kept basketball courts I have ever seen. Looks lime it was just built yesterday! Next to the playground there is an amphitheatre with faux grass. Half the field was in the shade this time of year. Was nice to just lay down and catch our breath before the big hike! Lastly is the fantastic nature trail! It's about half a mile long loop and it goes to the peak of the baby mountain next door. There are some really cool sculptures on the path too! From the top you can see all the way across town! Perfect spot for a sunset viewing. Clean bathrooms with running water and plenty of parking! 5 star park! read more

Not sure I understand the good reviews. Took the grandkids here today. Was not impressed. This could be a very nice place to take the kids if someone cleaned it once in a while. The landscaping alone doesn't look like it's been cleaned up and blown out in months. The fake grass was filthy. Found several dirty bandaids in and around the sand. Doesn't look like they've rinsed the play area in years. For all the taxes paid in Scottsdale, I'm very disappointed they can't keep this park even halfway clean. read more

This park is perfect for kids and dogs. There is a separate dog play park area, and an area for kids to play. The kids play area is covered and out of the sun. In the summer on the weekends there are sprinklers that come on in an artificial grass area outside for kids to run on as well. Playground good for different ages of kids and also a couple of lighted basketball courts. Also a one mile hiking trail. Great new park! read more

Best park ever!!! It's nice to have a park so convenient and close to home. Everything is always clean and the rubber playground surfacing allows the kids to run around with or without shoes. The two jungle gyms (one for big kids and one for little kids) are completely shaded so during the summer months, it's a great relief!! There are also hiking trails for the adults along with huge basketball courts. It wasn't until last night that I realized how beautiful the surrounding area was...every direction you look, there is one more terrific view! You'll definitely want to come visit this place...it is never overcrowded...I'm actually hesitant to write this review because I don't want my son's perfect wonderland to get invaded with all you Yelpers!!!! But it's ok, I'll share my secret with the world...this time. read more

Great new addition to the Troon area! This park features a shaded play area, two full basketball courts, artificial turf, and public restrooms (you don't need a key). There are two large open areas that connect to short trails. The trail above the basketball courts has two shaded seating areas that offer fantastic views of Pinnacle Peak. Most of the trails are packed dirt, so it's great for riding your bike or walking your pup. The playground is fully shaded by an actual structure, as opposed to the typical tented playgrounds in the area. Plenty of parking, with a few handicapped and carpool/hybrid spots. It's a little difficult to find the first time there. If coming from Dynamite/Alma School intersection, head south on Alma School and turn left at the Fire Station. It looks weird at first when you see the layout and decor of this place. It has rock-filled iron boxes enclosing the basketball court and surrounding the bathrooms. You can tell it's a bit unfinished but it's very unique. Love this basketball court! There are two oversized courts side by side (4 hoops). If the sun goes down, you can just turn on the lights for the court you're playing on by going over to the light pole. We played until 7 pm and it wasn't even crowded at all. The bathrooms are super nice too (3 stalls for the ladies). The playground is nice for the kids too. Has a slide and climbers amongst other things. I have seen plenty of people walk their dogs here... there is even a water fountain for them. There is something for everyone here, people and pets can have a nice time. read more

This is a great park with many activities available: restrooms, basketball courts, dog park, hiking, children's play area. The best part of the children's play area is that it is 150% shaded ... extends beyond the play area into the "grassy" area. read more
