The vibe is community, support, growth and education, vs the "churn and burn" mentality of other studios. The teachers are all excellent and owner/teacher Amy has extensive knowledge in all areas of ceramics. I have learned wheel throwing, hand building, slip cast mold making, glaze formulation, nerikomi, marbling, mono-printing, and luster applications--just to name a few! The studio is generous with provided tools, a huge reference library, oxides, glazes, storage areas and open studio hours. This is truly a community and I've met some amazing people here. THEY HAD A BLAST learning about clay, how to mold pieces, using tools, etc. The studio is in a prime location, super clean and teachers are welcoming and knowledgeable. I saw a dozen or so spinwheels so I plan on doing a girls night out at the studio at some point. Can't wait to go back.
