Solid Michaels, definitely a larger location. There's a lot of popular businesses in this plaza, so it can get a bit hectic here depending on when you go. Also make sure to check the Michael's website for in store coupons, there's almost always one available on top of whatever deals that they have in store. Good Michaels to get arts and crafts supplies and items. Perfect for paint markers for cheki decoration or if I have to get any supplies for making cosplay. It's not the closest Michaels to me but if I'm in the area, I don't mind stopping by to see what they have in stock, especially around the holiday season. Speaking of holiday season, make sure to always go months in advance if you want to see the new items since they stock like Halloween in August and the month of the holiday, almost all of it is gone or severely discounted and the next 2 holidays are already in store. I placed an online order for in-store pickup and had a disappointing experience with the associate who helped me. I waited in line and was called up to the register. When I told her I was there to pick up an online order, she responded with a rude tone and asked if I had checked "over there." I explained that I usually pick up my orders at the counter. The associate had blue/green dyed hair, which I mention only to help identify the interaction. She did hand me my order, but the interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. When I said thank you, she simply replied "mm hmm" without any acknowledgment. I was polite the entire time and wasn't causing any issues, so the attitude was unexpected. I've had better experiences at Michael's before, but this visit left a bad impression. I hope customer service can be more friendly and respectful moving forward. read more

My husband and I purchased a mini 12" Christmas wreath for our baby daughters urn. Sadly, someone stole it off the pick up shelf. I really wish they would do something different for pick up's. Plenty of parking and a convenient location! There was one employee that was super helpful to me while I needed pricing (the price stickers were not correctly matched with the notebooks above so I couldn't tell what costed what). She helped me scan several items and would tilt her machine so I could read the screen with her. The employee who checked me out at the register was also very friendly and helpful!! I give 4 stars instead of 5 because they didn't have all the supplies I needed and that was kind of frustrating cause I didn't want to go to another store when I was just needing a box of drawing pencils all in the same format (not a variety pack). I usually love Michael's selection of holiday decor and their friendly cashiers upfront. However, I cannot say the same for their framing department. I dropped off 2 pictures to be framed, and even with their 70% discount, the total was over $300. They were to call me when done, within 2 weeks. Three weeks later, no phone call. I called and they said it had been done for a while. Okay, minor inconvenience but it happens. Went to pick pictures up, and one was done incorrectly; the matting was all wrong. I was not happy as this meant another trip to the store which I don't live near. I asked for some kind of discount or compensation for my time and inconvenience, but was told, by the manager, there was nothing he could do. I STRONGLY recommend you do NOT take anything there to be framed, and they have lost me as a customer. read more

Unfortunately I didn't get her name but to describe her she was young, wore glasses and had over exaggerated blush. Came in for a 3m Hanger, asked if they price matched, she stated yes they did. Then once I brought the item she kept giving me objections to not match the price. I showed her Joanne's pricing, she said , "oh it's clearance". Then I pulled up Home Depot "we don't match them...there's one like 5 min away if you want to go there". Finally I showed her the same item at a much lower price on Amazon. She asked to take my phone. I gave it to her, she started swiping up and down saying the items were different. When in reality they weren't. I asked for my phone back twice but she refused as she was still trying to find a reason not to match. So I grabbed my phone and left. I went down the Home Depot where I found the same item. I asked the employee if they can price match, and without any HESITATION or OBJECTIONS, he was happy to do so. Managers at this Michael's need to educate their staff to give a clients their Property back when asked the first time. The fact that my phone wasn't given back when asked, made me feel very uncomfortable as if my freedom was taken away. They also need more employees with the positive attitude as those of Home Depot's. After the many visits to Michael's, this will definitely be my last. I am a senior citizen disabled combat veteran, which they did not let use their restroom even though I am a customer whatever happened to simple human decency, Michael should be ashamed of themselves to have such a policy. I will never shop at that store, and I will tell all my friends and family not to shop at that store. Isn't there some kind of state or city ordinance that prevents them from not letting a disabled person or any person, to use the restroom especially if they are a customer if your restroom is out of order, you should provide some kind of solution. If you cannot provide a rest room to the public, the store should be closed.! Although prices here are usually a little bit more expensive than online prices, if you go to their site, you'll usually find some really good coupons that could be used at the store the day of. I particularly came on a good day I guess, because all of the fall decorations were on sale for 60% off - say what?! It was a steal. I felt like I was some type of couponing queen with the fall decor promo along with the 20% coupon I found online #winning The store was well-organized and had everything you needed for your arts & crafts needs. The only reason why I'm taking off a star is because the line at this store always seem to take FOREVER. Came here for their pickup service and spoke to a store representative named Patrick... I had ordered 2 sets of ribbon for pickup, and asked it it would be possible to see both items (through the window to maintain contactless). I mentioned that I was unsure of which type of ribbon that I wanted to purchase, as I had seen some reviews regarding the color of one of them. Unfortunately, I was told that would not be possible in a rather unpleasant tone. As a result, I ended up just choosing one of the items and driving away dissatisfied with the lack of customer service. I typically come to this Michaels, as it is close and convenient, but after this poor experience, I may reconsider other store locations (at least during this contactless pick-up period). Selection was good but my complaint comes for cashier BLAKE. Could he have had any more of an attitude?! Incredibly rude, clearly did want to be there, and appeared bothered that he had to scan items and push a couple of buttons on the screen. My own interest in painting and drawing saw me coming here from time to time, And of course the occasional need for something involved with a school science project, or history diorama added to my visits. These days, I only come here occasionally, as I don't really have the time or used to have to dabble in art projects. Still, if I need glass beads to tie fishing flies, Or my kid can't live without a marker set, or I need a shadowbox frame to help my wife display her marathon medals... You get the idea. This place has a little bit of everything. If you're looking for very high-end or specialized things, Michaels may not have it. I had a great experience at this Michaels. I specifically enjoyed the custom framing department. I paid around 500 with the 65% seasonal sale. The frames and glass were very nice. The point of curbside is to avoid contact and to protect others and myself?! And the fire in the surrounding location is more than 50% contained. So what condition? And to tell you, that you have to go through the store to pick up your order is ridiculous another reason to put others and myself at risk! The framing people act like you have all day to stand around waiting, like seriously either hire someone else or figure out how to run the desk efficiently without having close contact with people. If you want to catch COVID this is the place!
