    Grandpa Joe and potato salad
    John T.

Visitation Rights: Been to this place couple of times. Background On Last Visit: Decided to get a quick lunch before heading off to Knotts Berry Farm over the weekend. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Restrooms: There's no restrooms available. Location/Parking: Located next to Denny's. Parking can be found along Huntington Dr. or you can park in the rear. Ambiance/Decor: It's basically an Italian grocery store will with a deli section. Order Of Operations: 1) Get a ticket 2) Wait for your number to be called 3) State your wants and needs, 4) Receive your wants and needs, and head to the register to pay for your stuff. 5) Exit shop and either go home or eat at their communal tables located in the back of the shop in the parking lot. Service: Service is pretty good. They're friendly and informative about their shop. Food comes out at a decent time. Sandwich Of Choice: So far I'v had the Grandpa Joe sandwich, which consists of capocollo, mortadelia, dry salame, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced pepperoncini and oil dressing. Sandwich is quite quite excellent. The protein and other ingredients tastes fresh. Just a reminder that the cured meats and cheese can be a little salty. Claro's For Thought: I'll definitely come back to try more sandwiches and desserts.

First time in and I am a fan! It's a market with a deli inside. You take a number for the deli and their menu is insane with a bunch of options!! Definitely hard to choose but we settled with Angry Joe and Grandma Gerry. While waiting for our sandwiches to be made, we walked around the market and picked up hot crushed peppers and peanut butter homemade cookies!! Everything tasted delicious and super fresh and service is awesome! You're taken care of asap and the wait is not long for either the deli or the checkout!! Will definitely visit again to try more sandwiches!!

A little bit on the pricy side but I think it's pretty worth it. $14 for a large sandwich. The meats are sliced per order, if you order by weight or the sandwich. I got Uncle frank sandwich. Nice cold cut sandwich with a decent slice of cheese in the middle. My sandwich artist (or whatever they go by) saw me starring at the menu, and took my order right away. I think I was drooling a little and he felt sad for me. Good service, at the checkout there are sometimes free samples keep your eye open for that

My boyfriend and his sandwiches. For lunch, we decided to go to Claro's Italian Markets in Arcadia so he can satisfy his sandwich cravings. Claro's is an Italian Market but all of the locations I do to also has a deli section that makes fresh sandwiches. My boyfriend ordered a large Angry Joe ($13.49) which has the hot capocolla, mortadella, hot salami, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced pepperoncini, amd hot dressing. He likes that hot stuff :P I got a small Auntie Shell ($13.49) which is a chicken salad sandwich Italian style. I'm pointing that out because it doesn't taste like a traditional chicken salad filling. My boyfriend enjoyed his sandwich. This is one of his go to spots. I didn't like THIS sandwich cause it was salty and non typical of the chicken salad fillings I like, but I acknowledge that I should have stuck to the more Italian specialties.

Spaghetti and sausage plate. Very small portion.

I usually stop by Claros about once a month for a deli sandwich. Today I decided to try the hot food. Ordered the spaghetti with sausage and I'm pretty disappointed. The spaghetti portion is very small and I feel like it definitely needed more sauce. Maybe the guy serving it should have put some sauce on top. The sausage was pretty cold and firm. Overall disappointing with the spaghetti and sausage. I'll stick to the sandwich's

Great service, ample parking, a quality deli, bakery, and market. What more could you ask for? I recently discovered Claro's in Santa Anita by chance. I was running errands this morning/afternoon buying furniture when lunch hit and all my mom wanted was a sandwich. As I was yelping the area for local delis, Claro's Italian Markets popped up. I visited Claro's in Covina last year and had no idea they had multiple chains. Of course I grabbed a meatball sub, split it, along with a half pint of potato salad and seafood pasta salad. We sat outside and had lunch on their communal benches. It was such a beautiful day and I loved taking my mom to a spot I knew would be a hit. Best meatballs hands down, and I'm particular. Even my mom commented it was better than her go-to, which I wont mention, bc it's pretty close to this location. Highly recommend stopping in at Claro's for specialty Italian products, fresh meats, cheeses, drinks, gelato, pastries and more!

Don't go here if you're anywhere close to being hungry - the delicious deli smell and visual food displays will make you ravenous. We stopped off for a sandwich, see my pic, on our way to LA when we were a bit hungry - it wasn't too far from the freeway off-ramps. Since I can't tease you with the delicious deli smell, you should check out my deli counter pics. There are tons of meats and cheeses to choose from. But they also have a large variety of packaged goods and wines for purchase. Back to deli sandwiches, see my pic. This is a large Great Grandpa Joe sandwich. It was perfect to share between the two of us. As you can see there is ample meat and cheese. Each of the meats were sliced to order, and tasted it. Everything was incredibly fresh. Unfortunately the only place to sit was a single picnic table behind the building. If you are a first-timer, you should know there was ample parking to the adjacent parking lot to the north (we parked on the street which was busy). Also noted was that restrooms were for employees only. We'd make this a destination. But they also have a few other locations.

I've been to Claros before but only to look around and see what they have. This is my first time ordering cooked food. We arrived around 5pm, therefore they were about to close and clean up. We quickly ordered their traditional favorite Great Grandpa Joe and a pound of pepper and sausages. While waiting, we looked around and there are so many selections from baked goods to deli. Most of the cookies were 16.99/pound. I was eyeing their tin box which you can get a discount 2$ off a pound if you bring it back for a refill. The sausages were delicious! Sandwich was filled, hearty and with soft chewy bread. I'd love to come again to try their baked goods.

It was very obvious that Chef Alex had conducted multiple corporate team building events as well as being a skilled/seasoned chef. We had 22 people for our team building event and there was plenty of space for us to each have our own cooking stations (teams of two) and there was ample seating for all of us to enjoy the fruits of our labors after the cooking was completed. We prepared thai food for our event and, WOW, was it amazing. I mean (literally), this was the best thai food that I'd ever had and this is coming from someone who's wife says "you eat way too much thai food!" The very tasty food is a testament to how well run this place is because we are just a bunch of accountants but we also apparently have an inner self that knows how to cook thai food. Overall, this place is clean, fun, there is ample parking and I would highly recommend. If this place wasn't so far from me, I'd definitely go back on a date night with my wife.

Chef Alex was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly accommodating, especially with our very last-minute booking request (less than a week's notice). Throughout the entire event, he was patient, kind, and engaging with the boys. He took the time to guide them at each cooking station, clearly explaining what to do and then letting them take over and experience it hands-on. He created a really fun, relaxed environment where the kids felt confident and involved. We all trusted the process, and the food turned out fantastic--but even more than that, the boys had a blast doing it. It was the perfect mix of learning, teamwork, and fun. I would highly recommend this experience for any team-building event, youth sports team, or even private parties like birthdays. It's interactive, memorable, and really well-run. Despite the class session only being 2 hrs, I felt like I was able to focus on improving basic skills and learning new techniques. Even if you don't have any interest in pottery, I HIGHLY recommend taking a class regardless. It was a full class and the instructor patiently explained each step. Before you sign up, make sure to read the description carefully. There are hand-building classes and wheel throwing classes. Hand-building is hand molding and you don't work with the wheel. My one-time matcha bowl and whisk holder making class was hand-building and we don't get to decorate or glaze it. Instead, you get to pick from a selection of paint colors and their team finish glazing and fire it for you. You also need to wait about 6 weeks for it to be ready for pick up, which is standard for community pottery places. I picked the white paint with specks which I regretted. The glaze came back with some uneven spots and a dark brown mark on the outside. Since the studio glazed it for us, I was a little disappointed with the final result. Pottery definitely tests your patience and perfectionism. Not sure if pottery is for me, but I might come back for their wheel throwing class.
