I explained that my upper left retainer detached immediately after my last cleaning at their office. I asked if the retainer could be rebonded, since it had come off as a direct result of the cleaning. The head dentist Dr. Suri, entered the room and stated that he would not rebond the retainer, instructing me to see my orthodontist instead. I explained that the orthodontist would charge me $200, and that the issue occurred due to their cleaning, not due to my neglect or misuse. Despite this, the dentist refused to provide the service. When I stated that I would file a complaint with my insurance and the medical board regarding the refusal, the dentist escalated the situation further by refusing to provide any treatment at all, including the scheduled filling. I was denied service solely because I expressed intent to exercise my right to file a grievance. Dr. Suri ran out of the room saying because I was going to complain he was refusing to service me. Following this incident, I submitted a HIPAA medical records request form asking for a complete copy of my dental records. In response, the office provided me with only two pieces of paper, which they claimed constituted my entire medical record. This is highly questionable and may represent failure to provide a full and accurate medical record as required by federal law. After leaving the office, the office manager called me to say that my orthodontist had agreed to rebond my retainer as a "courtesy." This was because I have a 15 yr relationship with the orthodontist and this is NOT the first time Suri Dental group has removed the bonding from my retainer. He has reported the dentist as well. However, during the same call, the office manager stated that they were dismissing me as a patient entirely and that they would now "put the entirety" of my medical records in the mail. 0/10 don't recommend!!!!!! You have rights as a patient, always use those rights. Unprofessional conduct (retaliating against a patient for stating intent to file a complaint).

I found them when i started having a toothache and contacted my insurance company for a list of dentists covered by my insurance plan. I went through a couple and eventually came across this office i read through the reviews, i was reluctant because i saw a couple bad reviews and decided to just try them out. I went on my first visit on march 1st 2022. I had no issues with my teeth at all up until this point. I went in for a toothache as i stated but i also had a chipped front tooth which they managed to shortly fix and did a decent job which made me trust them. Could i have been ever more wrong in my life... michelle who did my cleaning looked at the xrays said i had a few cavities and the tooth i was having slight pain in needed a root canal or to be extracted. I decided to have a root canal as i didnt want to lose the tooth yet as i was only 31 at the time. Dr edward huang spoke to me in regards to the root canal and we scheduled it. He had also filled in my cavities which he butchered and i didnt realize until much later. Shortly after he worked on my cavities i started to realize my teeth felt uneven and i couldnt bite down properly i spoke to them they asked me to come back, dr huang checked found nothing wrong with the fillings but the issue still persisted as time went by. Eventually i arrived for the root canal and they performed the extraction of the old tooth as planned. At the time my work conflicted a lot with their schedule so i lived with the issue with the fillings for a month until the crown for my tooth was scheduled. During the time i waited i started to have muscle spams in my face and pain it felt my jaw would go numb and i scheduled to have them check again as it was becoming unbearable. Again they found nothing wrong but dr huang tried to fix the fillings but it didnt help at all.. maybe it made it worse.. i started to notice i was grinding my teeth a lot in my sleep because of this they offered a night guard which i agreed to. But that was the last i heard of it, michelle told me insurance would not cover it and i would have to pay the quoted $400 price she told me which i would have paid because i needed it. I dreaded going back and forth to having them check the fillings as its a pain to drive over 30 mins again for them to find nothing even though i was having so much issues and dr huang always seemed uninterested to speak to me he was never rude but just always rushed through convos. I should have took that as a red flag and went else where. When they finally added the crown not even 3 days later i couldnt even drink a cup of coffee in the morning as that tooth would have me so much pain i called them back they told me if in a week the pain persisted to come back. The was still there and i had to go back yet again. Dr huang stated maybe the crown was too high he worked on it after he was done he told me that the gum was red and maybe it was still healing and that maybe thats what caused me the pain which in my head made me think why would he work on the tooth first if the gum might be the issue? It made no sense logically but i assumed since he was the professional he knew best. I kept having issues with that tooth as well and with the fillings worked on the left side of my mouth at this point i still had a little faith in them as professionals and hoped that they fixed my issues. They never did. I struggled with them from march 1st 2022 until october of 2022 until i decided enough was enough and went else where. The other dentist i went to discovered the crown was cracked from underneath. During that time i went to this office over 10 times in a couple months. These people butchered my teeth so badly, the shape of my face/jaw has changed drastically. Various dentists had tried to help me only for the problem to persist and get worse. I was referred to Dr Rash Patel by a close friend of mine. Dr Rash Patel listened to my problem and was able to help me. He offered multiple solutions to assist me in being able to fix the problem. He also assisted in whitening my teeth and straightening them. I knew it would be multiple visits to get my teeth straightened, but he was very professional and deterred me from any fears I had. My work means I travel around the country but I always make the time to stop in Lynbrook and get my dental work completed here. I have now referred many friends to this dentist who all speak very highly of his work and professionalism. His staff are very friendly and personable. This clinic also has the latest dental technology and is very clean and hygienic.
