Dr. Albert is fantastic. The whole collective team at the practice is fantastic. I walked in for an emergency root canal treatment. (The co-pay was a reasonable $15I also have a truly horrible phobia of dentists and their dental instruments. Everyone acknowledged my fear and told me what they were doing before doing it. Made it clear I was in control the whole time. Dr. Albert took the time to lay out all my financial and treatment options before I ultimately decided to have him give me the immediate treatment relief I needed. He was gentle and aside from a small needle prick, I honestly did not experience serious discomfort while being numbed up. There was a moment during the procedure where I felt slight discomfort and he numbed me up more and pulled out two nerves without me even realizing it. The chair was on massage mode and he had Pandora playing and it really helped to distract me from the procedure. I like being distracted from any procedure I'm having done and they succeeded. Aside from my own experience, I was able to observe the way the staff interacted and the way Dr. Albert and his partner interacted with their staff and other patients and I'm extremely pleased with the level of respect and harmony displayed. I even thanked the dental assistant for his service and said given the conditions, that was enjoyable. I surprised myself when I said it. I have been visiting Complete Smiles since I moved to Queens in 2014. Dr. Albert and his staff including the receptionists, X-ray workers and assistants are all very polite and friendly. The hygienists are also the best! (Bella is ultra friendly and sweet!). Whenever I need to do a more complex treatment such as a root canal or gum work Dr. Albert is always clear when it comes to prices such as how much my insurance covers, how much I would need to pay, and so on. Also, when I had an emergency because my old crown fell off, I called the office and they scheduled an appointment for the next morning which was helpful. During my last visit I also met the other dentist, Dr. Benjamin, and he also seems to be a cool guy. I definitely recommend this place. Note that I moved to Astoria in 2018 but I still go to complete smiles because it's worth the trip to Forest Hills. read more

I have been looking for a great dentist which can be so HARD. There are so many options and sometimes it's hard to find good reviews for doctors in general that are accurate because it's almost not something people do. I may have had one of my best experiences at the dentist office. It was very tricky to actually find the office once you arrive because of the many rooms in the building but if you call the office they can direct you easily and you'll feel like a secret agent. Total time: 12:45-2:45PM (about 2 hours) I had 3 people working on me for a complete cleaning experience. I got x-rays, teeth cleaning and a consultation with the dentist. The lady doing my x-ray placed them correctly and even though she didn't do it in seconds, she didn't have to constantly adjust my x-rays and did do them at a good time. (I've been to places that are so rough and quick and have to constantly adjust.) The lady cleaning my teeth was super gentle and thorough . After she explained with diagrams the health of my teeth and was able to answer any questions. The dentist looked at every single tooth and explained the health of every single tooth. Usually dentist only highlight if there is a cavity. He finished by teaching me 6 easy and different tips on how to have the best healthy teeth till old age. read more

Pros: The office is very nice. i didn't have to wait long for my appointment. The dental assistant was super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Benjamin is fairly nice and treated my teeth well. Cons: I came in for a check up, after that Dr. Benjamin decided to tell me all the things that were "wrong with my teeth" and how he could fix them. I get this is a dentist's job, but i'm talking purely cosmetic / appearance things like there being a small too much space in between some teeth. This was annoying because 1) i didn't ask. 2) I said it's okay my teeth are fine to me and instead of giving up he starts talking about invisalign. 3) it's obvious that i'm a young adult (he thought i was in college) but he spent a solid 15-20 minutes talking about invisalign and how i could pay for it.... it was over $5,000. Just think he should wait for real interest before going down that route because now i'm more self conscious about certain areas in my smile ....that i could fix with the $5,000 i don't have :( Also don't trust the front desk to accurately tell you what your co-pay is. I asked a very clear and direct question about how much i'd have to pay total for the appointments (i went twice) and still ended up paying them $200 more than i needed to. I won't be coming back here, but overall the experience wasn't bad. if you go just be weary of the salesmen-like attitude and be very knowledgeable about insurance. read more

Their staff is so knowledgeable and caring, I came in for a check up and cleaning and right away the receptionist made me feel welcome and cared for. I especially loved that the new patient forms were digital and easily accessible. As I was brought to the treatment room the digital x-rays were taken instantly and the hygienist began the cleaning. The hygienist was meticulous to point out where I can improve on my oral hygiene. Doctor Benjamin walked in with a smile and a cheerful personality. Let me preface this review by letting you know that I am currently 8 months pregnant without a vehicle. I schedule all of my appointments around this, to make my life as easy as humanly possible traveling on foot in this heat. I had an appointment at this office this afternoon to which I walked the half mile to the office and arrived on time. Upon arrival, after collecting my ID and insurance card, I was told my insurance was not taken by the receptionist - even though I made sure to call the office personally to confirm my insurance before I made the appointment over a week ago. I also completed the online pre-checkin in which I submitted my insurance information as well as photocopies of the front and back. All of which I told the receptionist who simply said she apologized but that they only take Medicare. I then had to walk home in the heat without being seen nor being offered any alternative resources. Just as I arrived home (about 30 minutes later), I received a call from their office during which the woman who called stated that the office, in fact, TAKES MY INSURANCE and proceeded to try to blame me stating that I "must have provided an old card" (which I most assuredly did not) and asked me to reschedule my appointment. I told her absolutely not, thanked her and I hung up. Six hours later, I received an email that stated "...We see that you're busy and had to cancel your appointment. Well, your health is important, so why not find another time?" - once again trying to place blame/onus on me as if I cancelled my appointment. I did NOT cancel my appointment. I was in essence denied service and asked to leave. This is absolutely incredulous. This office is managed with an incompetence, the likes of which I have never experienced before. Again, to be VERY CLEAR, I will not be returning and if you check your reviews, I would appreciate it if you would refrain from contacting me going forward. Also, it would behoove you to retrain your staff, especially when it comes to their interpersonal skills. read more

Not words can explain...is very difficult for me trust on at dentist that i dont know,but this morning i wake up with a pain on one size of my gums..hoooorrible pain.. so i started to search for a dentist available on sunday and i found this place and it gave me the option to text. Dr Albert respond to my text and he give me the appoiment as a (emergency ) when i get to the clinic he check everything,they took x rays and he proceed to worked on me....20 minutes later..pain goes away. This is more of a review of the office regards to billing than the actual dentists. I had been a patient of Dr. Albert for at least 2 years. Last year I decided to do 2 implants and decided to do a payment plan where I authorized them to charge my credit card a certain amount every month. Today, for the 4th time, I got a notification that my card was billed double the amount agreed upon. Every time this happens I have to call the office and wait for the biller to get back to me, which takes about a week or more. And during this time, I am the one doing the follow up which is extremely frustrating. If the biller does not charge my card monthly, that is not my problem that is the biller not doing his/her job. I think it is completly unfair and irresponsible that they take it upon themselves to charge my card double when they are the ones that are in charge of it. I never signed the agreement that if they forget to charge me that its ok for them to double up the next payment. If they need to double up then they need to call ME, the customer, to make me aware they will do this because I never agreed and all of a sudden I'm surprised with a high charge. If the biller cannot take out the payment monthly as they are supposed to then they are not doing their job and I should not be getting this high payment posted on my credit card. Now I have to call tomorrow to discuss this again and waste half my day since they can never give me an answer on the spot. It's extremely inconvenient and terrible service. i will not be returning to this office. read more

Dr. Danny Benjamin is an EXCELLENT dentist. Not only in skill and knowledge, but in his ability to calm down nerves with his sense of humor. So the name of the place Complete Smiles is really quite appropriate because that is the final touch of what makes the visit great! Going into the clinic you kinda feel like you are in a Taylor Swift "Bad Blood" video(right after she was revived and minus that "bad blood") where an army of gorgeous women staff are ready to assist you in your battle against dental diseases. They then strap on your armor (like this thick vest) in preparation for this futuristic device that does sort of like a 3D scan of your whole mouth. Further examinations then transpired in another room where you bite down from all angles. They are very thorough in their check-ups here so I would have to believe that no plaque remains undiscovered. What's awesome too was that they really take the time to explain your teeth's condition so you can really tell that they have a passion for preventing cavities and vanquishing stones like no other. Stay away from this dental office. They will overcharge you . They are not transparent. I hate to see doctors / dentist who overcharge or charge patient and insurance both same time. They would tell you it's not covered yet they will charge both parties. I was told insurance does not covered this and they gave me the price. I had no choice because I need it done . Paid it in full then weeks later got a letter that insurance covered and paid it . Tried calling them multiple times nobody reached out, then weeks later tried calling them they now telling me insurance covered cheap base and how much the insurance paid and plus my payment so meaning my payment is the copay . The heck we all know insurance does not paid what doctor charge in full. And I was literally told this is not covered. And you paid out of pocket . Best experience ever! Went for my regular check up and Xrays yesterday. Turned out I needed couple of small fillings. Dr. Benjamin took care of that with a great amount of care. Before proceeding he showed me my Xrays and explained everything to me so I knew what to expect. After he was done fixing my teeth he took his time and showed me how to take care of them to avoid future problems and gave very useful advice on oral hygiene products. I had trauma which caused inflammation, bruising and a lot of pain. Dr. Albert knew exactly what to do. After evaluating the area, he didn't just say "take a Motrin and ice the area and you'll be fine". He recommended bio stimulation (laser treatment). I was a bit scared in the beginning because I imagined feeling more pain, but he assured me that everything would turn out well and that I could stop him at any time if I was feeling uncomfortable (of course I had to trust his words, my family and I have been patients here for 6 years and they haven't let us down so far). During the treatment, he explained the benefits of the treatment and had me observe what was going on. It was incredible how soothing the treatment was, suddenly I start seeing that the bruise was disappearing and the area looked as if nothing had happened!!!! No inflammation, the bruising was reversed, and my pain level went from 10 to 3!!! I have to say, these people know what they're doing. read more

I have always had a terrible fear of the dentist due to bad experiences when I was younger. That fear kept me from going to a dentist for over 10 years! But when one of my molars broke I realized that I couldn't let it go any longer. I asked around and I researched online and decided to give Dr. Benjamin and Complete Smiles Dental a try. I was so skeptical because you rarely see anyone on Yelp and other review sites, with as many glowing reviews as they received, but I made an appointment online through ZocDoc and gave them a try. I wanted to make sure to come back and write a detailed review for anyone who has an extreme fear of dentists like I did (yes, I said did, as in past tense!) and is considering Complete Smiles Dental. 1. Big thumbs up for being able to book an appointment online AND for being open on Sundays. 2. Their office is comfortable, modern, relaxing, and clean! It's easy to get to using public transportation and if you drive it is right next to a parking garage. 3. Everyone in the office is extremely kind and friendly. They asked me numerous times how I was feeling and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. They have massage dental chairs, Netflix in each room, and relaxing music. 4. The hygienist was so sweet and they offered to give me a cleaning while I was waiting for the doctor. I had not had one in a very long time so I decided to bite the bullet. She was very gentle and stopped often to make sure I was ok. I had a good amount of plague on my teeth so sometimes it wasn't the most comfortable feeling, I won't lie. But it was not painful at all. 5. Dr. Benjamin is as amazing as every review says he is! On the first visit he explained everything including all the different choices of treatment. he showed me the x-ray, drew pictures, all to make sure I totally had all the information. I decided to go with the root canal (AHHH!!) and a crown to fix my tooth and then a few fillings. The next visit I came back for the root canal......and it DID NOT HURT AT ALL!!!! Dr. Benjamin gave me the shots of Novocaine and when he asked me how I felt I am telling you I didn't even realize he had done anything. I felt absolutely nothing other than him rubbing my gum. I thought he was joking when he said he was done. He made sure I was completely numb and after 25 minutes the root canal was over and I felt no pain, no discomfort, and by the end I was relaxed and trying not to laugh listening to the hysterical banter and conversation between the staff, that I forgot to be nervous. Dr. Benjamin asked if I wanted to continue with some of the fillings and I was ready to continue. He was the one who decided to just do one filling and have me come back so I wouldn't be uncomfortable having my mouth open for so long on my first visit. So, now I am not scared anymore and I can't express how glad and blessed I am to have found Complete Smiles Dental! Please, don't let fear keep you from taking care of your teeth like I did. Complete Smiles Dental has such wonderful staff. I came a little early to filled out the paperworks but that took a little while. Hygienist, Bella, work wonderfully cleaning my teeth, it's quite painless to my surprise cause this is the main reason I avoid the dentist. Dr. Benjamin is funny and thoughtful and even though my molars are predominantly fillings, he was able to rebuilt it. He went over that teeth we have to watch in the near future and have me keep him updated such whenever after I see the oral surgeon for wisdom extractions. You guys are the greatest. Worry free billing is something that I've taken for granted for a long time. I want to say thank you for always putting the client first. You have no idea the nightmare I was going through to care for my daughter's teeth away from home just these past two weeks. She's in the west coast. Dr. Ben is my dentist - I've had some extensive work done including laser gum surgery. Having had traditional gum surgery years ago- I highly recommend going to Dr. Ben if your gums need help. Had the laser surgery done on all four quadrants in one sitting - took a couple of Tylenol and was able to eat dinner that night. Less than six months later, my gums have never looked this good. Was in need of a dentist due to excruciating pain near one of my wisdom tooth's. I really don't like visiting the dentists because I had a bad experience where they did work just to get paid. A friend of mine recommend Complete Smiles Dental and I decided to give them a shot. I made an appointment, filled out an application when I got there, and was called in minutes. I sat down and one of the lovely dental assistance turned on the massage chair and some Netflix while I waited for Doctor Albert. Indeed I was 'Netflix and chilling'. Along comes Dr. Albert, we briefly discussed my pain and after some X-rays we discussed the cause. He gave me several suggestions on what can be done and what should be done.
