This is our second time seeing Anthony's majic show at Tom's farms. Anthony has the best majic show I have ever seen. The majic he does is absolutely amazing. He's friendly and welcoming, funny and just a good kind man. His assistant, needs to go. cocky and arrogant. The last Anthony show we saw had a much younger assistant. She did what she was suppose to do. Assist Anthony and that's it. I understand Dawn is important to Anthony, at the very least, talk to her and tell her her job as an assistant is to assist. The tricks with Doves were great! Those were my favorite. This was an 18+ show at the Corona theater. It could have easily been an all ages show and I would have been more impressed if It had been done with out offering alcohol and pouring the audience shots. I thought the addition of alcohol was unnecessary and over exaggerated. The star Anthony kept drinking from his glass and everyone in the audience was offered a shot of firebal. I didn't see anyone under 21, not sure how that would have worked out. I felt the alcohol addition made it less respectable, at least for me, felt like a backyard party not a professional theatrical performance.. If you need to get the audience "feeling good" there are other ways to do it. As for the magic is was good, the jokes were cute, not to much was left to the imagination but most tricks were executed well. It was definitely worth the $25 ticket. My friends and I had a good time. It wasn't with out flaws, a little unorganized, issues with sound and music time as well as too loud. A little tension and miscommunication between the two, sometikes not knowing whonwas making decisions or incharge. Lots of audience participation, fun to watch, glad I wasn't called on. Probably could have advertised more and packed the house if it was all ages. I would definitely recommend for kids party's and events. read more

I work at a resort where Anthony the Magic appears weekly. This is my unbiased review. He is amazing! He is the real deal! He and his assistant Dawn put on a top-notch performance! The tricks are mesmerizing and the commentary is hilarious! I saw this wonderful act last year & it was pure perfection, both Anthony & Dawn have fun personalities & and like to include the audiences in many of their tricks. This year there was an inebriated guest in the front row that upset the balance of the show. It was none of his fault (how can you anticipate that?) but he conversed with her almost the entire show & gave her much unneeded attention. He even started saying, "is this the (name of guest) show?!?" When he could have been entertaining the rest of us, he was having to deal with her trying to make her funny. She was not. I saw Anthony and Dawn last night. The first act included animals. One of the doves fluttered down to the floor in front of the stage and Dawn picked it up and rushed backstage. Not a fan of exploiting animals to make money. Toward the end of the show Dawn complained about their troubles during Covid. Many people had it hard during that time. Then she got political and you could tell what camp (cult?) she was in. I thought that was in poor taste. You really should try to not offend anyone in the audience. Anthony was awesome! read more

To say the show was amazing is an understatement. We were staying at the Marriot Shadow Ridge Resort in Palm Desert and had the chance to see this amazing show. I have to admit I was sceptical and thought it would be tailored more to children but I was wronng. The structure of this show needs to be revised and his attitude and "knowing your audience" should be reviewed. Our daughter was sitting front and center of his show, along with dozens of other 3-5 year olds. He was doing his opening dove bit and at one point had a red balloon. He tossed it up and allowed it to float down toward the children and naturally, as most children would, a few few of them stood up with excitement. The assistant tried to get their attention with no luck over the music and the magician talking. This f***ing guy, took the first chance he got, without giving a CHILD the opportunity to do the right thing, to have them removed. NOT A JOKE. He requested that these two toddlers parents remove them from the show. Although Im sure the audience understood, it was embarrassing for us as parents and disheartening. My baby girl didn't understand why she had to be at the back of the show. We explained that she should have been sitting like the other children, but we were not upset with her. It was heartbreaking to hear my baby apologize and still not be able to put her back in the front row of the audience with the other kids. These are children you are dealing with. This guy is mediocre at magic and even worse with children. Maybe he just had an off day. read more

I attended a magic show While Anthony was performing at Luv2Play. This is a indoor play park with children varying in age. Several children are toddlers and of course excited to watch a show, they often stood up and needed a reminder to sit down. Mid show, Anthony stops and asks for the parents of a few exciting children. I thought he was going to make a joke about the children or ask them to sit with parents. NOPE! He asked the parents to remove the children from the show because they could not sit. What grown man, who knowingly offers to perform for children, kicks a bunch of toddlers out because they can't sit still for half an hour. Anthony the magician does. So if you ever consider having a magician at your kids party, don't waste your money or breathe. He's not that great and successfully made at least one kid cry. read more

We had a great experience for our corporate holiday party. The party was in residence, 'Great Gatsby' themed and we loved that the magicians embraced the theme. We had a group of 50 people between the ages of 18 and 40. Every single person was in awe of the illusions - the crowd was filled with laughter, fun and amazement and as you looked around many had their jaws dropped. The show was put together creatively to have energetic moments, comedic moments, and emotional/sentimental moments. We loved how they worked with us to set up the best spot for the show, and recommended how to rearrange the seating. They even started a little later than obligated on their own time because some guests were arriving late and they wanted everyone to be able to enjoy. This is not a review of Anthony's skill or art as a magician. After all, I hired him because of his excellent reviews. This one star was earned because of his inflexibility in Covid times and the fact that I cancelled my booking in November because I learned, soon before his performance, that he, and his assistant, were unvaccinated. Since my whole family would be present, including people over 80, I cancelled the booking. Yes, I knew his deposit was non-refundable, but in these extraordinary Covid times, with an unvaccinated performer, I thought there would be flexibility and ethics and a simple return of my deposit. My reasoning is, if you perform before the public, in intimate settings, you have a responsibility to your paying public, to be vaccinated before appearing amongst them. He refused to refund my deposit, and for that ethical inflexibility, he earns one star. read more

I wasn't going to say anything until I read Anthony the Magic's response to one of the parents. I was also at the show at Luv2play. Anthony the magician is full of it! All of us parents looked at each other bothered by him removing the two little ones from the show. Not once did they tell him "no". And he did not give them the option to sit with their parents. They could have announced something at the start of the show. They could have asked all the little ones to not sit in front. They could have asked the parents to come and sit with their children if they were sooooo much trouble. But he didn't. Anthony the magician said "these ones can't sit down so whoever's kids these are can you come remove them". I felt horrible for them. They sat the whole time waiting for the show to start and then the music plays and they start to dance, were told to sit down and they sat. He tossed a balloon over the kids, a bunch jumped up to hit it and he snatched it away and gestured for them to sit, and they all sat down. He literally stopped the show to remove them. And the next trick he did was with an adult and a tissue that turned into a flower... super dangerous! He looked bothered the whole time but what do you expect when you opt to perform at a kids indoor play place with 40+ toddlers. No, they aren't always going to be quiet. No there aren't always going to sit still. But regardless I'm thankful they were too young to pick up on your irritation and rude disposition. read more
