I checked in last week with my Bestie Austy to watch The Protector and experienced outstanding service from the Manager Chris and Team Member Oscar! Austy and I love this Theatre because it has the updated Luxury Chic Reclining Chairs and the Plaza is always so romantically well lito to help us enjoy outdoorsy decompression walks in the evening. I finally convinced Austy to invest in a Regal Membership and Chris was a fantastic Asset to help guide us through the latest Membership Sign Up process! We appreciated how the Host who greeted us kindly at the entrance directed us to the Guests Services area to get assistance on how to enroll in the Membership Program, and how Chris noticed us immediately and walked over with the appropriate pace of professional urgency to help us complete the enrollment process as quick as possible so we wouldn't miss our Movie. Chris was dressed sharp and professionally and we loved his positive and welcoming attitude as well as his latest Favorite Movie recommendation Hoppers! He also offered to help us purchase our tickets in their Computer System to help us avoid the unnecessary Booking Fee through the phone app so we really appreciated his financially savvy assists too! Oscar helped assist us load up with delicious snacks and drinks at the Concessions stand and he added so many positive and fun humorously bouncy vibes as well! I love how my Regal Membership comes with endless perks like Free Popcorn and how there is an abundance of cold and refreshing fountain sodas to pair with it like my favorite Root Beer. Sourpatch Kids has become a ritual must have for our Movie Nights as well and Regal always offers different varieties like watermelon and the traditional kids flavors to make every experience unique and adventurously fun ;0) Thank you Riverside Regal for being wonderful Hosts and creating such a happy and welcoming atmosphere for Movie Nerds to dive into our favorite Art Therapy Escapes!! read more

Love this theater! Whenever a movie I want to see comes out, I always check this theater first. The workers are nice and patient, and I've found the theaters to be clean. My only critique is that there is only 1 bathroom and it is in the lobby area, so it is quite a stretch to get to if you have to run out in the middle of your movie. Also, I've noticed the trailers start 5-10 minutes after the posted movie time, so don't worry if you are running late. Parking is general open parking in Riverside Plaza, so can get very busy. read more

The seats are comfortable, the carry Pepsi products, and usually not crowded. They carry pizza now, but just ate so will try next time. Little disappointed in pricing of popcorn and sodas but you can get half off with a pass or buy year long drinks. Overall a comfy movie theater with nice employees. read more

Always a great time! My husband and I have enjoyed this theater (we're spoiled by the reclining seats) and finally got the Unlimited! Boy, was that a great decision! We had a few problems with it at first; but, the manager was always there ready to help us out! Now, we can go to the movies without even having to think about $ ... between the Unlimited and our points, it's a win win! No more limiting movie going to only once a week AND no more deciding if the movie is "really worth paying to see"! Oh, and one of the nights, we like to go to Pier76 before the movie! The recliner seats always work. Tons of room for people to walk when passing through the aisles. It's such a comfortable theater and the staff are always so kind and helpful and resolve any issues you might have. We have been coming here for years and will continue to. This place has really became my favorite over the one closer to where I live. It's a lot less crowded than amc and way more comfortable too. read more

Came here the other day with a couple of others and we started off already bothered due to the two staff members inside the front door completely ignoring us chatting it up and laughing as we stood there for a couple of minutes. We finally just skipped them and went straight to the concession line to get our popcorn and drinks. We get up to the front and I ask the girl if I scan my movie tickets with her to which she said I was supposed to do that at the front door with the staff that was up there. She realized that the movie was about to start so she said it's okay that it doesn't need to be scanned and to just go ahead. We go and watch the movie, when it ends, we sat for a bit to watch the credits and took a minute to try to buy something on our phones that had a specific time to purchase. Two staff members come in, one male and one female, to begin cleaning up. The girl immediately comes to our row and asks us if we're there for the next showing, we said no we just watched the movie and that we are just trying to purchase something on our phones really quick, to which she says "yeah well we're kinda trying to clean here so *does a hand gesture alluding to us getting up and leaving the room*" to which I said okay I don't need you giving us hand gestures and being rude and she just laughed it off. I left the room and planned to go speak to a manager and get our money back but I decided to not let myself get to that point over someone else who clearly cant control their emotions and be disrespectful instead of asking politely. read more

The wait time for the movie was insane. Our movie had a showtime for 7:10 PM and it actually started at 7:38, 28 minutes later. This included the initial 11 mins of non-stop ads/commercials. I felt I was on this endless loop of YouTube ads. 15 minutes of previews and then 2 minutes if last minute ads for the concession and the theater monthly subscription. I actually enjoy the previews, but was so annoyed at all the commercials before, I just wanted the movie to start. We don't typically go to Regal Cinemas, we go to another theater closer to home, so I don't know if this is the new norm. The recliner chairs were okay, not as cushioned as I'm used to. The actual movie experience with visual and audio was fine as well. We're already paying a ton on tickets, please cut the ads/commercials. read more

The overall movie was fine and the theater looked clean enough but honestly that's the bare minimum. Every other part of the experience was subpar. The screens to order your tickets inside lagged a ton so it was tedious to place an order. Then when you get in line for concessions, it takes half an hour (not an exaggeration). When we got in the line, there was one girl taking orders, a line with 25+ people in it, and a bunch of other people standing around talking to each other. This was clearly bad management not adjusting to business needs by opening more registers. After ten minutes, more people got on the registers and started helping so the line started moving. Then when we get to the front, it takes our girl like five minutes to find the promotional popcorn bucket and cup we bought for Superman. It's not the longest time but it was just grabbing a simple cup so I feel they should make promotional merch more accessible to their employees to ensure smooth service. And also, that girl was either not built for customer service or having an off day and needed to be reassigned to something in BOH cause she had an attitude the whole time. Never looked up, acted really confused the whole time, and mumbled (maybe it's a training issue?). Then she handed us a cup with the lid not on correctly and my mom spilled it. Which we said sorry for and honestly did feel bad making a mess on her space. But she told my mom it was because of how she grabbed it- I'm sorry?! I tested those cups and lids right after. If you clipped them on right, they were very sturdy even if you squeezed. So she just didn't snap the lid into place fully and got an attitude about it. I know it's frustrating but we didn't do it on purpose. Anyway, get to the theater two minutes later and the popcorn is cold and mostly kernels. So this tells me popcorn isn't fresh. What were those other people doing not on register and not making popcorn? And I saw one manager throwing away hot dogs because they went out of temperature so they clearly don't have good food safety precautions in place anyway. And another couple was speaking to another manager about their bad experience and getting some sort of compensation so clearly a common issue here now. Two managers on the floor and you're having this much disorganization on a Thursday night? In the theater, and I notice the almost booked full movie has like ten people in the theater because they're all still in the line. I think people were still trickling in even after commercials had ended. So overall, the only reason this place is still standing despite poor management and organization, is because it's the only nearby theater apart from the AMC at Tyler. read more

We came to see a movie premiere. Paid $60 with snacks and went to watch the film. About 45 min later the movie shuts down. We were the only ones in the theater. Manager Richard said no one bought tickets. I'm like, "Excuse me? We bought tickets!" He asked for the stubs. We told him she didn't give us any, which already bothered me because I wanted to save the ticket. He said, "She had to give you the tickets." We reminded him, we "know what she's supposed to do, it just didn't happen." My friend literally showed him all her receipts--we simply didn't receive one. So we leave our stuff and go to the office like common criminals while he looks up the credit card. "You bought tickets for another film." Reminding him they obviously made a mistake, can you please resume the film so we can finish the show? "Sorry, since no one bought tickets it can't resume or be restarted." Unbelievable. After asking for his boss's name and number he changed his tune and gave us tickets to come back... but we can't see it the day it premiered! read more

Great wide selections of theaters rooms! Not too limited. Unlike AMC almost all the theaters have very nice and comfy recliners!! Came in here to see Mario and Air and the theaters are cozy because only a set amount of small group of people are here so you won't hear any chatter! The only downside is the trash cans can be overfilled a-lot and not many many choices for food and snacks but if you want a great move experience come here on the cheap! read more

No problem with staff or service or cleanliness. Those are all fine. As a handicapped person I find it difficult that there is only one bathroom and in the front lobby. Very far to walk if you're in one of the farthest auditoriums. There should be at least one if not two either gender specific or gender less or family bathrooms in each major corridor of auditoriums. Only issue. San Jacinto has the same challenge. They should all be designed like the Regal in Mira Mesa. 2 handicapped bathrooms on one side of the auditorium. One major Men's and one major women's on each hallway. Does anyone look at these comments? Really disappointing. You need to fix this problem. read more

Had the opportunity to go to the movies. It has been 9 years. Four of us. Not a cheap night. Here is how it played out. Purchased the reserve tickets online. Had received a $10.00 concession card to use, and they would not honor it. Said it wouldn't process. So much for that. My daughter ran to the car for her jacket. I gave her the scan code proof so she could get back into the theater. I went to our seats, and people were in them and were not moving. Getting someone off the chair to remove the people was like pulling teeth at the front desk. Its a good thing I had to get someone to remove the people because they would not let her back in. After showing them the scan code, they let her in. Started out early to get there, but ended up missing the first 15 minutes of the movie. Probably won't go back... OMGosh!!! One of my Favorite Places to go for the Movies and spend Family Time Together. Mirastasha Thomas, is a Wonderful Lady to talk to at the Customer Service desk. Mirastasha, knows her knowledge of the movie Theatre. She, is One Marvelous Person. Tarek, is an awesome person to talk to, when there are issues with the Movie or customer service team. An amazing talented person. Dino, does his job very well and pays attention to detail. While cleaning and preparing each movie theatre , he makes things look effortless and willing to give a helping hand. Theatre is fine but.. come prepared with your own snacks. Every time I come to this theatre (which is extremely rare) I always manage to have a bad experience at the snack bar. They are always out of either hot dogs, pizza, pretzels or something and for some reason, it takes them a half an hour to cook new hot dogs. It's absolutely ludicrous, hotdogs do not take a half hour to warm up. I always manage to miss the previews when ever I come to this theater. The only reason I came this time is because AMC was charge $50 for two tickets just for the recliners at Tyler mall. read more
