I've seen two films here, The Odyssey and The End of Oak Street. First off the EPEX screen is fantastic. Obviously it's nowhere near IMAX but for the price and quality, it's definitely worth it if you don't want to drive farther. The seats are also very comfortable and they actually turn on the AC, unlike the Regal around the corner. Lol The smaller screens are a little blurry, especially if you're used to IMAX or EPEX but again, the seats are comfortable, the theater is clean and it's much cheaper. Overall, it's a solid option and I'll definitely continue coming here from now on. read more

The chairs are not the best. Recently went to see the movie, Sinners. The movie was alright. The seats? Horrible. My back was hurting after the movie. We even did the reclining seats, and they still weren't good. Are they missing padding or something? They just aren't comfortable. I've been to many movie theaters with reclining seating and Starlight was by far the worst. The comfort just wasn't there. My husband also complained about the reclining chairs not being comfortable. Anyone else has this problem when visiting this theater?? Aside from the uncomfortable seating, everything else was fine. The popcorn, churro fries and drink were good. I did have to wait awhile for the churro fries. Those were delicious though, so it was worth the wait. Service was fine. Theater and restrooms were clean. My only complaint is about the chairs. Sunny was super friendly and helped me set up my rewards account. Theater is clean and when I went in for my 2:20 movie showing the theater looked new. All the chairs and holders were nicely put together. Only downside was the people. People were showing up 15-30 min into the movie, flashing their phones and even stepping on my feet. I had to ask a group of people to please turn their flash off since it was straight in my face. Other than that, the movie was great. read more

I love to come on Tuesdays since it's $8, but book fast because they are popular! $12 if you go to an earlier show, and $14 if you are a student!! This past weekend, we went to Starlight Cinemas Dos Lagos to watch Weapons! The lobby of the theater was bright and beautiful. Took a while to get into the thater because the system seems outdated and scanning process wasn't streamlined. The theater itself inside needed some renovating and the seats were too close to one another in my opinion. I've been to many, many theaters and this one was average at best. read more

I am impressed with the customer service of this theatre. I needed to switch my tickets but could not make the drive out to the theatre. I called the theatre and they were able to accommodate my request over the phone. When I came to the theatre to get my tickets, the manager was so helpful and nice. Every employee I came in contact with was amazing. I find that customer service is not always a thing these days, but I was happy with my experience at this theatre. I have never been to this theater, but it was nice for my first visit. The theater gives you a grand feeling walking in, especially with the really high ceilings. The interior is currently adorned with Halloween decor. The staff was courteous and I was not aware that you get a free "promotional size" popcorn when you check in. Thanks to Danielle P. for pointing that out! The guy at the concession stand asked if I wanted to upgrade my popcorn, since it's smaller than their regular size "small" popcorn. I think he also said if you get a large, it becomes half off. I stuck to the freebie size which I think is the one that comes with the kids combo. That was all I wanted. I ALWAYS have to get the popcorn at a movie theater. Don't ask me why, it's just a ritual, lol. Anyway, the theater was pretty big, but for opening weekend, it wasn't packed. We saw Smile 2 and sat in the last row all the way in the back. 9 times out of 10, if there aren't any seats in that last row, I won't watch the movie. They're the best seats in the house! However, I will say the space between rows is nice and wide. If you're on a date, they have a few of the "couch" style seats where 2 people can sit together. I didn't see them, but online, the map shows there are a few. I'd definitely come back here again. I never knew where it was because I never drive past Trader Joe's when I go to the Shops at Dos Lagos! Now I know. There's a huge parking lot and many restaurants and shops so it's a great place to hang out on weekends. This theater also offers $6 Tuesdays where every movie is $6! Nice!! Met some friends here today for some Halloween fun and a scary movie! I'd never been here before and it's a really nice theater with a lot of cool places around it. Loved the famous cars on display outside of the theater. I purchased my tickets several days ago online. I pulled up my confirmation email and showed it to the gentleman taking tickets. My QR code wasn't scanned but he directed me to the proper theater. The restrooms were well stocked and very clean. The concessions were typical movie theater food, but it seemed like the sizes of everything were larger than usual. I got a small ICEE and was shocked at the size. And the prices seemed really reasonable as well. The theater was very nice with extremely comfortable leather reclining seats. The seats were actually elevated a bit too, so no issues with taller people sitting in front of you. The movie and sound quality were great. We had a couple good jump scares in our group. Definitely a fun time. I'd come back here and stick around for some other fun things the area has to offer. read more

This has been my go to theater since it opened and it was a nice post when they seen to be doing upgrades to our in recliner chairs but the place is looking anything but upgraded lately. Its becoming grimy and dirty and our movie tonight was plaqued by sound issues the went on throughout the entire movie. I along with a few others brought this to the staffs attention and were told the manager was looking into it but it continued to happen.. I brought it up a second time and was just told sorry. Really. I remember the days when food management would offer a refund or atbrhe least a discount on the next flick. No one heard anything. What a way to treat your loyal customers. The only reason I didn't give them a 1 star is because the helpers at the snack counter were great. Management needs to do better. read more

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment regarding our recent visit to the Dos Logos Epex theatre. Our group of 16 arrived excited to see the Michael Jackson movie, but the experience was marred by significant cleanliness and service issues. Upon arrival, we were met with a dismissive attendant when inquiring about restroom access. The restrooms themselves were in appalling condition--lacking toilet paper and seat covers, wet, smelling foul, and seemingly uncleaned for the entire day. This lack of hygiene extended to the snack bar area and the hallways, where trash bins were overflowing. Inside the theatre, the floors were so filthy that we were hesitant to even set our belongings down. While I will give credit to the theatre for having comfortable seating, it could not make up for the overall lack of maintenance. The staff appeared to be standing around talking rather than addressing the facility's condition. As a group, we have no plans to return and, unfortunately, cannot recommend this location to others. I sincerely hope management addresses these hygiene and service standards to improve the experience for future guests. read more

Customer Service: I visited this theater on a Thursday night. I came to their 10:20 showing which was the last showing for that movie. I was not given the opportunity to buy snacks as their snack bar was closed. Because of this I went back to the front desk and asked for my cash back. The young teens working there started joking as to who was going to go get the manager for me. That behavior is normal for young teens but nevertheless it was unprofessional. The manager came shortly after and offered me two coupons to come back and advised a refund can't be given because they are closed. I came back the following day for the same exact showing. To my surprise I was able to order snacks this time and the customer service was a little better but still super dry. Snack Bar: Everything I ordered was available but really disappointing. Popcorn tasted burnt and cold, chips for the nachos were stale and tasted like they had been sitting for days, mixed cocktail tasted like pure mix. The only good thing was the cherry ICEE. Theater Room: probably the most disappointing part. I was expecting a clean theater which is normal. No one came to clean the room I thought I had came a little early. However, shortly after another couple came in and had to brush off trash and popcorn from their seat and they also didn't look too happy. The seats were really comfortable and looked nice. Overall Impression: For a theater who calls themselves a "Luxury" theater. It is FAR from that. I believe it has the potential to be luxury but there is something wrong here. Two days in a row and was disappointed. I love where this theater is located but I will most likely try a different theater now. I just moved to the area and was hoping this would be my home theater. read more

I'm pretty picky when it comes to movie theaters and Starlight in Corona did not disappoint. Wait, I just remembered the popcorn was stale so I'm going to take a star off for that because that's pretty important. Coincidentally, all the movies I've been to were all Marvel movies. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking. Plenty of parking but it all depends if it's a busy day like a holiday or a big movie. Experience: Welcome to Corona! They don't have much of a downtown area just lots of plaza with different eateries, activities, and a theater. What's cool about this spot is that it has a pretty cool lake to walk around. The theater itself hold itself down. There's a reasonable amount of games, good food selections, and the theater experience was enjoyable. TL;DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. There are a lot of powerhouse theaters such as AMC or Edwards but this one holds it down. This is a great location, good selections, and overall enjoyable. Memorial Day weekends are always busy at movie theaters, but with the final Mission Impossible movie, Lilo and Stitch, and How to Train Your Dragon all opening at the same time, I expected more chaos, but the concessions line moved quickly and staff was present, helpful, and attentive. Movie experience was excellent with sound, picture, and minimal audience disruption. My ONLY issue with my experience was the main bathrooms. The women's restroom had only 4 working stalls out of 14! ONE OUT OF FOURTEEN. They went to the trouble to put up signs, but not have someone in there fixing them. It was nuts! read more

This movie theater is my go to theater when I want to watch a movie. They are decently priced and on Sundays (all day) and Tuesdays (all day) they have discounted movie tickets. They are $7 per ticket without tax. And their concessions isn't terribly priced either. You can get a medium popcorn for $8. Not too shabby. I also recommend signing up for their rewards program. It's very easy to earn points which gets you free concessions as well as movie tickets. Also downloading the app makes it easy to purchase tickets, especially on discount days, where you don't have to wait in long lines when you get there. And you can choose your seat way in advance. They also offer alcoholic beverages, chicken tenders, corn dogs and hotdogs just to name a few as their concession items. This theater is getting a facelift, and converting all their theaters to recliners. It's small but comfortable. read more

Been here many times as I prefer this theater over the Edwards at the Crossings, mostly because I'm still salty they tore down the original Edwards off 6th Street. I always purchase my tickets off of Fandango ahead of time so that we can choose our seats. With the pre-purchase check-in is easy-breezy. They have a regular line for food and drinks, and then a line for those purchasing alcohol. I like that they do offer some alcoholic drinks. There is also a nice bar area to the left of the food counter. Parking is pretty easy and the whole shopping center area is nice for families, friends, date nights, etc.... Prices can be high like any theater. I did find that sometimes they did not calibrate the volume during certain screenings and/or they did not lower the lights enough. The seats are pretty comfy in the theaters that have the adjustable ones. Highly recommend. read more

Currently under renovation as of April 2024 so I had to knock a star off for that. "Reclining Chairs"' is a strong word. They are not the full reclining chairs like at Cal Oaks but they do have some give if you lean back. Definitely more comfortable than the standard fold-out-from-the-bottom-only chairs that seem archaic in today's reclining seat theaters Maybe when renovations are done, they will go full recliners. read more

On 6/11 a group of 4-6 boys ages 17-18 were at the theatres trying to buy some tickets to watch a movie just like any normal kids but I saw the two black lady's running the ticket booth being very rude to the gentleman as one of the boys offer to buy all the other gentleman's tickets the lady made snarky remarks such as "oh you really have the money to buy all those tickets" and overall making comments of that manner not allowing them to purchase their tickets. The manger even showed up and told the two lady's running the ticket booth to let them purchase the tickets after all. I think the lady's demeanor was very rude and overall not professional at all. I believe if people don't want to be working customer service they should be cleaning the movie theaters or even be working behind the scenes and not upfront dealing with customers if they're gonna have that ugly attitude. They were paying customers so I don't see any reason for that lady to have any type of rude remarks towards them. Starlight cinema should have a better procedure when it comes to teaching their employees good manners and proper etiquette when it comes to all people and not just certain age groups because from my point of view, the boys didn't do anything wrong and weren't being mean they were just trying to buy tickets. read more

Love the prices here! They are the cheapest in town. I can always watch a movie for only $6 here during the right hours and days. If I feel like splurging, I spent $7 during the right hours and days on EPEX (EXTREME PRESENTATION EXPERIENCE). EPEX has a larger screen and a Dolby Atmos speaker system. The pricing is perfect for families that don't want to spend an arm and a leg at the theaters. Starlight Cinemas also has a rewards program where you can get points and get free popcorn, soda, or even a movie ticket. There is always plenty of parking too next to the movie theaters. The extra parking lot towards the side/back of the theater stretches all the way back to the back of the whole Dos Lagos shopping center. The best part is that you can buy your movie tickets online in advance and reserve your seats in advance. All you do is show your emailed barcode with your tickets to the movie attendant as you enter. The attendant prints you, your hard copy tickets. I love not waiting in line outside and just walking in with my mobile tickets. read more

Glad this theatre is back open. Went there this past weekend and watch 2 movies! Can you believe it? I braved the outdoors during this pandemic time and watched two movies in a enclosed theater!!! I watched "Godzilla vs King Kong" and "Nobody". Both were really good and enjoyable movies. I was surprised at how clean this theater was and they limit capacity to be 25%. The concession stand was a little bit long So you might miss a few minutes at the beginning of the movie because the good thing about this theater is that it only shows about 10 minutes of previews. So make sure you get here on time to enjoy your favorite movie theater treats. Another bonus is the awesome Yelp check in perk in which you will get a promotional popcorn to enjoy. Overall great theater experience with good deals. Will definitely be coming back here again very soon. read more
