The atmosphere of this business is peaceful and relaxing. I've been here a few times. Some of the staff are better at giving the massage for the spa pedicure than others, I left my last appointment not entirely satisfied with the quality of the service and felt rushed. My pedicure chipped the same day as well. However, that experience has been the only time I've left not feeling satisfied. Came in for a color change, and picked glitter and gel. Welp, he proceeded to give me lumpy globs of nail polish. When he said it was done and I pointed it out, he just filed it down and put cuticle oil over it. I asked him to reapply the top coat and he said it was already on it. My whole family goes there regularly and today I had a problem with my pedicure. I asked the technician to do my manicure first as it will get dry while I do my pedicure and she did the manicure first. I stayed there for almost two hours and after I left home, my all finger nails got messed up, I called and they told me to come to fix. I went there and she did some touch up on the tips with brushing alcohol and coated nail polish and top coat. I stayed there for the time they mentioned and came home carefull with my nails not to mess up. Around after three hours, I went to do some work and now my nails got so messed up. I've been going here for over a year and have sent many clients to Jennifer. About 3 months ago she began cutting my long natural nails off and applying tips because she said my nails were thin and took a long time to finish. I agreed because after all, she's the professional. All I wanted was nice looking nails. However, the only problem is, the tips cracked very easily and I would always have to go back to get my nails fixed. (Context: When I first started, I was coming every two weeks but with the shift in my budget, I was forced to only go once a month.) Sunday, I went to have my nail repaired not even two weeks since I had them done last. Jennifer said she's done her best with my nails and that it takes her too much time to do my nails. She said she cannot continue to take her time to fix my nails because it interupts her schedule. She refused to repair my broken nail that I had done 9 days prior and told me I needed to try a stronger product. I told her that I was allergic to acrylic and she said I don't do acrylic because I'm allergic too. She ended by saying she could not keep fixing it because it wastes her time. I tried explaining to her that the issue of frequently cracked nails tips started when she began cutting off my natural nail. She got defensive and said I was accusing her of not doing a good job when that's not what I was saying at all. I was only trying to say maybe she should stop cutting off my natural nail since they never cracked before and my nails lasted for 3-4 weeks. I was floored. Mai, the owner, who is fabulous was not there so I left with a broken weak nail. I won't go back nor will I refer people. I think Mai is a beautiful person. It's too bad her shop lost two customers that day (a lady who had an appointment left when she heard the way Jennifer was talking me.) If you frequent the shop, please don't encounter financial hardship. They won't care or be thankful that you are being a loyal customer. Jennifer actually had the audacity to say, you told me you were going to start back coming every two weeks. When I said my budget hasn't allowed me to, she walked said you need to come every two weeks. When I reminded her it wasn't two weeks, she still refused to fix it. The person doing my nails seemed to be rushing through my signature spa pedicure and didn't remove the clear polish on my nails until I mentioned to her that it was polish (she said it was my nail and it was not). She was nice but then whenever I asked for something, it seemed like she was annoyed about how I told her what my preferences are. I've been a client at this place for three years, but I'm very unhappy with my recent pedicure and eyebrow service. I gave clear instructions to the lady, but she just said "ok" and ended up making a hole in one of my eyebrows. When she handed me the mirror and I pointed out the mistake, she said, "It will grow back in two weeks." But now I have a feeling, whenever I visit my parents, I need to get my nails done from here. Both employees who worked on our nails were excellent. They were treating my mom so sweetly and I appreciated that tremendously, (thank you). This nail spa has been open over a year and has the latest style chairs/accommodations etc. It is located in the Loudoun One plaza across from elevation burger restaurant. It's well maintained with cleanliness and service. They provide drinks if you want something to drink while getting a service done. I drank some coffee, which was nicely prepared. I saw the bad reviews and chose to ignore it because I figured they could have just been difficult clients. The man who did my nails his name is Vu was so rude and talk about you in front of you with a young lady sitting next to him in Vietnamese . Open a voice translator you can hear for yourself. It's pretty disrespectful. They have no idea I was listening to their conversation for all they know I'd never know. But shuttle rudeness is my reason for taking listening. I'm will finish my services with them this visit but I will never come here again. To begin, I noticed that he did a lot of the dipping for several nails consecutively/simultaneously. At first I thought he was just really good and fast, but in hindsight I realize it negatively affected the quality of my nails. So not only did I have nails of varying thickness, but several nails were WAY too thick and ALL of my nails had too much product on them overall. This resulted in most of the skin around my nails being almost glued to the dip powder. I saw that my nails were quickly turning into a visibly unnatural thickness, but figured he would even things out after he finished dipping my nails and waited for that stage of the procedure. I think I counted 3-5 layers of dip powder on my nails (3 should have been enough for all nails). Then came the part of things where it was time to even out the nails with the drill. I think he realized that he had overdone the powder on all my nails and had not left any space between the heavily layered dip powder and my skin/cuticles. He did take down some of the overall thickness, but still left things overall pretty chunky looking. Then, he used the drill to correct the areas directly touching my cuticles. For all 10 of my fingers, he manually drilled the excess dip powder off my cuticles and artificially added a "border" between the powder and my skin in the areas where the two were glued. Yes, that meant he took the drill to my cuticle on ALL my fingers. I yanked my hand back and audibly reacted several times, but it did not affect him approach. My cuticles we're burning and tender by the time I was done with my appointment, and this is the main reason I would not return here even to fix my nails. When he finished up and added the cuticle oil and lotion, it BURNED. I gave $10 tip even though I really should have spoken up, but I really did not want any more drills near my cuticles. I just wanted to leave. Once I got home and was able to examine things more closely, I realized that the overall job had more mistakes than I realized, including the fact that my thumb nails were not even filed straight! Again, the excess of product used was glaringly obvious and I also ended up taking my tweezers and excavating even more excess dip powder from under and around my nails. read more

It looks like a nice place as far as decor but the treatments are very lacking. The manicures are so short! 15-20 minutes only ? 10 second hand massage ? Terrible. They are skipping many steps, and charging full price. I get better quality manicures and pedicures in a run down strip mall than this. Technicians are not friendly and not very skilled. I've never been to this place before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I came here with a group of ladies and when I arrived, my friend has already arranged an area where they serve drinks and had a spread of cheese, crackers, water, chocolates and other goodies while we waited for the rest of our group to show up. When the rest of our group arrived, they popped a champagne and served us mimosas and champagne depending on our choice. We were able to take it to our chair and enjoy it while we received our services. I got the A.V. Spa pedicure which includes the scrub exfoliation, callus treatment, paraffin treatment and hot towel wrap. Van took her time and made sure I had a pleasant experience. She also did my manicure. We had a little misunderstanding of what I wanted- mostly because I wasn't sure what it's called. Anyway, once we got it all figured out everything went smoothly. I ended up getting a full set acrylic with gel polish. I loved the way the turned out. We ended up staying a lot longer because my friends and I haven't seen each other since February and the staff were very kind and accommodating about it. We couldn't have asked for more.
