I would not recommend this nail spa. First, I felt rushed. Second the quality of the manicure was poor. There were bubbles in each nail. One nail has so many bubbles that I lost count. There is nail polish on the skin around my nails. There was tip coat all over the fingertips and then I was charged $60 for the worse nail job I have ever had. Save your money and go someplace else. This place is literally the WORST nail salon!! Beware and do not waste your time and money. I have given them a few chances both with manicures and pedicures and each time they were extremely unprofessional and inexperienced. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!! And will add and up charge just to get it. I got a pedi this last time and the lady was drilling and scraping my skin and made me bleed. She put the foot sugar scrub on and didn't even rub it in. From when I first walked in, nothing but stares. I heard someone greet me but I couldn't tell who was speaking because of the noise from outside. I repeated myself 2-3 times and no one responded. Just stared. Then there was the eye cutting in my direction from one of the female staff that looks bothered by me being there. It wasn't a glance, she looked right at me and gave a disgusted look. Very uninviting atmosphere. The staff member showed me a menu of services which I chose one and requested another. I saw the few for the first service ($32) however no menu or price was given for the second service. It was only until I got to the counter to pay did the total show $72. Not to mention the receipt just shows total, doesn't show what services were requested/done. So essentially they can make any bogus charge. So I just paid to avoid any issues and left. Not going there again and DO NOT recommend this business for anyone else. This place is terrible. I went because it was so convenient to where I was staying in Hampton but wish I'd gone to a salon in Newport News as planned. Different people provide different services. The pedicure I came in for turned out really well and the guy who did it was very friendly. But the powder dip manicure was very disappointing. I chose a dark sparkly purple but it didn't come out like the sample they showed me. Also the finished look was so thick and messy. Thick chunks of the polish are caked on my fingertips. I asked the guy if he could shave down the nails so it didn't look like big blocks were sitting on top of my nails. He did but it didn't do much to improve the look of my nails. The prices listed are incorrect. It is much higher. Asked for $27 pedicure and eyebrows, and the tab was $60. Unreasonable and unethical, especially for a mom on a budget. She was also unprofessional and texted during my pedicure, which is unsanitary and did half the work. The receipt just has the total, and there is no breakdown of how much you're actually being charged. We are not sure why such negative reviews. The staff are friendly and the service has been great. We get pedicures here every time we come to Hampton and it has been exceptional every time. Three of us had the milk and honey pedicure, two of us had manicures and a brow waxing. My sister had American gel manicure for her upcoming wedding and it looks great. As beautiful as this place was I had the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I can in with dip on my natural nails and needed a color change on my toes. For one, the guy who did my toes hurt my toenail filing bc he filled so low to remove the old polish. He should have soaked the polish first but for whatever reason he saw filing it off better. He apologized but my feet hurt for 3 days. Where things really went wrong was when they began on my nails. The woman they assigned me to tried to remove my dip powder from my nails by clipping my nails. I had to inform her "these are my natural nails and I want to keep them, this is a dip on them" she got upset and said she doesn't do that. Removed my things from her chair and gave me to a guy. The guy knew what a dip powder was and soaked it off, I showed him the nail design I wanted and he admitted he didn't have knowledge on how to do it.. why aren't nail places staying up to date on methods idk but I chose something simpler. I wanted a coffin shape. Blue and pink ombré but settled for a coffin shape, pink and white ombré with chrome finish. I told him as he was clipping them that wasn't the shape I wanted (they were stilleto) he swore the shape would end up correct and he was a professional while I wasn't. To sum it up he ended up cuttin my cuticle twice, pulling back the skin on my finger trying to disconnect the acrylic from my skin which hurt so bad I actually screamed and all he could say was "be still", how can I hold my hand still when I'm afraid bc you're being rough and careless with my hand? At that point I'm so nervous about what he'll hurt next my hands are sweaty, And looking at my nails they're hideous (they look like press on). I asked him to let go of my hand and to just pay for what's complete bc nowhere that I'm being serviced should I feel so nervous bc you're careless or feel as if I can't ask questions about the work you're doing. I will never go back to this place. I left with sore hands, sore feet, ugly nails, and anxiety so bad I ended up just going home. This place used to be good about two years ago. I was back in town and wanted to try them again but never again. They do however have one good professional woman there that is up on designs, methods and shapes. She's the one that informed them the design I wanted was not polish but a powder and how to remove sip from natural nails so kudos to her for staying current. I called around 7:15pm and asked if they were still open until 9 the person I spoke with said yes. We get there around7:30pm for 2 pedicures. After being told to sit down they started working on my boyfriend and got water running for my pedicure, the water was very cold. About 5 minutes of sitting there an employee walked over to start on my pedicure. We picked the first level up from basic. They seemed to rush through the whole pedicure. When I picked out my color the employee asked if I wanted gel. I said no. He then asked multiple times, pushing for me to get gel. I gave in and got gel. He dremeled at my toe nails even though I had just had regular nail polish on prior to this. I chose a sparkly white and received the worst SNS set of my life... I left the salon upset and doubled back because I couldn't justify what I received for the price I paid... it was almost as if they knew I was coming back because they had Tanya waiting for me... Tanya threw a lot of shade Tommy's way for having to fix it but she corrected my nails and I was happy... let me just add that Tanya's head was on a swivel the entire time she did my nails, she was so focused on who was coming in the door I visited again when it was time for a fill and asked for Tanya... she remembered me and still threw shade Tommy's way... she was still correcting his work from the full set he put on... I asked for a pink and white set again but instead I received pink and white ombre SNS... Tanya did a great job, although she was focused more on the front door vs me... but she did not complete a full manicure with the fill... she charged me $55 for an SNS fill, I would assume that the manicure would be included right? I had to ask her to repair my cuticles so that my new set would look right... On my 3rd visit, I went to see Tanya again. I asked for a fill and a pedicure and eyebrow waxed... Tanya did the fill with manicure included, however she started my pedicure under the nail table while my hands were under the UV light... Now I'm not sure about other's, but when I come for a spa pedicure... I want the full relaxing experience... my pedicure felt rushed when she finally put me in the pedicure chair and the gel polish application was just subpar... the part that annoyed me more than anything with this visit was at the end... when Tanya had me go wash my hands, she followed me to the back and told me my price was $160 for everything... after everything was finished, I met her at the front and there was this weird, sneaky look on her face... she motioned with her head for me to go to the ATM and I told her no, and that I was using a credit card... when she ran my card, she ran it for $150... The WORST nail shop I have ever been to. I walked in and got these stares similar to other customers mentioned. The lady started on my feet and when it came to my polish, it looked lumpy so I asked her to correct it. She got upset and used the drill so hard on my toe!! She started filing roughly!! I simply got up after she finished and decided I would just pay and leave. She swiped my card and said that it kept declining. So I check my card to make sure it won't on my end and I see THREE charges from when she swiped my card. She asked for my card again to swipe and I told her something was wrong with the machine. Horrible Service. First of all, the guy doing my nails was extremely rude. When we first walked in we asked if it was too late and they assured us that it was fine. But when I sat down, the whole experience was rushed. He did two coats of nail polish on my nails and I noticed I could still see my nail through the polish. When I asked for another coat, he said, "no, your nails are just dirty underneath" and that was not the case. And then, another lady came over to do the diamonds on my nails. And she didn't at all do what I asked for, and when I tried to correct her, she got an attitude with me. If I could give zero stars of this place I would. I had the owner do my nails for my wedding tomorrow. And it's already peeling off. We had an appointment at ten for five mani/pedis set for weeks. And they rushed through me, my mom, my soon to be mother in law, and my two bridesmaids. I will never return to this place after how terrible we were treated and done. Me being the bride you think they'd pay extra attention to get me off to a good start for my day. My feet are great but my nails suck. Might go back for a pedi from this one guy. I came in to get a pedicure and full set. The pedicure was fine, as I expected and I have no complaints there. However, I could tell the technician was rushing through my full set. I paid before she was finished and tipped her also. When I got up to wash my hands I noticed my thumb was a little off and asked her to file it..but when I got to my car, my entire right hand was shorter than my left hand, as my boyfriend pointed out, some nails were thick and lumpy.
