Getting there, the wooden look of the room did not fit the typical Italian atmosphere. The pizza and Stromboli were good. A member of my group also got the pasta trio. The Alfredo sauce was not very good; it was bland and way too buttery. The lasagna was alright, although we've had better. Service was slow and the food was adequate at best. Me, my wife, and daughter showed up around 7pm on a friday night. we knew it would be busy but decided to try it out anyways. While walking up the sidewalk, i noticed that there were a few empty tables, so i knew we wouldn't have to wait. I was wrong. The hostess asked how many, and as i told her "3", there was a boy behind her getting the menus ready for us to seat us. But then she tells me "It will be about 10-15 min and you can have a seat in the waiting area". I said, "what about those empty tables??" She then proceeds to tell me that the kitchen was backed up and needed to let them get caught up..... Ok, so i can't sit at a table and get a drink and sit comfortably?? we sat for a few minuites, and the madder and madder we got, we finally decided to leave and never return. Best Italian food in Fort Smith. If you get a salad, get the Italian dressing - homemade and delicious! Manicotti is delicious, and the spaghetti bolognese is to die for - a delicious mix of Alfredo and marinara sauce that will make you want to lick your plate. First time we ate at Anthony's we had very slow service, it took about an hour to get our food. Thinking they were having an off day, we went back the next night, same thing, over an hour to get our food. Although the food is really good, I have never been to an Italian restaurant where you didn't get a salad before your entree. At Anthony's they give you bread with an olive oil & herb dip when you are seated (thank goodness, something to hold us over until our meal arived). The prices seem too high not to offer a salad with an entree. This will be a once in a while restaurant for us, not a weekly one, sorry to say. read more

I've had two different meals since they've opened a short time ago. Their pizza is absolutely fantastic. The south isn't know for great pizzas, but Anthony's pizza is outstanding. Came here for dinner and it was great! The bread they serve is fresh and delicious, with nice tangy oil. I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it was very good. I've seen some negative comments about the chicken but it was some of the best I've had - fresh and grilled absolutely perfectly. The sausage was apparently excellent as well (according to my mom) and the restaurant served generous glasses of wine. Asked for tiramisu to go and it was delivered to the table promptly and well wrapped up! Service was friendly and everything was fast. Helpings were huge but they provide plenty of boxes. We live in Clarksville Arkansas and this has become a favorite of ours. We have a pasta grill in town and it fails in comparison. I love love love Anthony's! Great food, love the homemade bread. Driving down 540 saw the sign on their building that they had opened. Being an Italian from NJ had stayed away from eating Italian in FS since trying Joe's soon after moving to town and found them not to be near the Italian I've eaten in across the country and make at home. Ambiance - None. Lightning was the spot track type that you would use to highlight wall painting or wash walls. They shined in your eyes. Everything was the same color wood, floors, tables, chairs and blinds. The starkness of the wall color made it very cold and uninviting. Rating D Service - I told my wife that it was very down home, as in they opened the bottle of wine and placed it on your table for you to pour yourself just like at home. Took 10 minutes until someone came to our table. 15 minutes after placing our order had to ask about our drinks we had ordered from the bar. Watched as server then went and entered them into their computer. Server wasn't old enough to serve the drinks so another server had to serve. Wine service - see above. Ordered a pizza as an appetizer waited 40 minutes. Main entree arrived three minutes later. Overall very inexperienced. Rating D Food - In Italian restaurants if they have grated cheese on the table I like to try it. It gives me an idea of their attitude toward using quality ingredients in their dishes. This was the cheap tasteless domestic variety. If you like triple cheese on your pizza you will love their pizza. If you think food is about balance and like to be able to taste the sauce, dough and toppings you won't. The dough for the crust didn't use a good high gluten flour like you want to see in pizza. couldn't taste the sauce as it was over powered by the cheese. The sliced Italian sausage topping was average. Still looking for a good pizza in FS. Based on the price we asked if the veal was a frozen pre-breaded product. They said it wasn't pre-breaded. Should have listened to the answer as it was a processed ground reformed product. The pasta did taste homemade but the sauce was the usual sugar added variety and way too sweet. I ordered the Chicken Arabiata. The chicken was done scaloppini style and was tender. However I found the sauce not spicy as advertised. The sauce itself was a combination of their red sauce with an overabundance of oil which floated on the plate. The sauce on my side of pasta needed a major dose of red pepper flakes to offset the sweetness. We did not try dessert. Overall I could not recommend. read more

Visited today 3/8/15, It all started off good. Bread was good. Food was fast. Then out came the food. Portions were small. My Shrimp Scampi could have fed my 5 year old. Then Taking a bite, I feel something in my mouth that is NOT RIGHT. I Spit it out to find a huge hair in my food. Tell the waitress if thats what you can call her. She tried to offer free dessert but who would want food coming from the same kitchen that had a hair coming out . So i declined. She kept persisting. Then she comes over and goes i gave you a 35% off discount. Then i became pissed. My wife said something to another waitress. Who said something to our so called waitress. She gets hostile when i dont want to pay for something that had a huge hair in it.. not just a Small hair. This came from somebody with alot of hair.. Probably our waitress, because her hair was the longest of them all.. Im going to try to track down who the owner is to talk to them. Will never ever ever go back. read more

We stopped in on a road trip and WOW! Food was fantastic, bathrooms were clean, service was friendly... everything you could ask for! Portions were enough for 2+ meals, and grandma was happy that they offered kids meals to seniors 65+! The bread was brought out fresh, and our waiter was happy to recommend some incredible dishes! Horrible service. They seemed disorganized. There was a gentleman that I would assume was the owner standing at the front in a polo and jeans staring out over the tables but not offering to help. My family and I walked in and no one was at he front to greet us, we stood there for 5 minutes or so before another customer who was brining back a pizza came to the counter, we were finally seated at that point. After that we sat at the table for 10 minutes or longer while two other tables were seated both of those tables had their drink order taken, and had bread on the table before we even had a sever get our drink order. The bread was tasty, the waiting staff was nice, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food, not so much. I had the pasta sampler, and it was covered in a sickening amount of cheese, with a somewhat bland sauce. The italian wedding soup was oily and bland, consisting of about 90% broth. My sister ordered a dish with vegetables and chicken, bathed in a gallon of oil. The bite I had of her chicken was completely unpalatable. It was tough, rubbery, flat, and gray. It seemed like chicken that had been frozen and rethawed multiple times, and then way overcooked. read more

My wife and I decided to try out this new place a few weeks ago. We arrived at 4:30pm and they weren't busy at all. We were immediately seated and waited upon. We put in our orders for an appetizer, entree, and wine at the same time. The appetizer, which was fried mushrooms, came fairly quickly and the wine came shortly after. Around 6:00pm, our entrees had still not been brought out to us and I noticed people who arrived after us had already eaten and left. My wife went to the restroom and waited for about 10 minutes to find that our waitress was in there talking on the phone!!! Some time later our waitress comes by and apologizes because she forgot to put our entree orders in. I'm not sure how this happened because we gave it to her at the same time as the appetizer. It doesn't take that long to eat an appetizer.. you don't have to stagger when the orders go in. Anyway, she said it'd be ready in about 10 minutes. After this we decided to cancel our order and leave. A young woman who was presumably the manager came over and said she was sorry, but didn't offer to give us a free appetizer or anything for having to wait so long. Saying sorry in this instance doesn't mean anything. As the manager, you should do something to show that you want me to come back and have a better experience next time. But after this I'm definitely not coming back. read more
