Save your money! Ordered the biscuits and gravy and I should've known when I saw them come out that they were gonna be nasty. They were cold and unflavored full. I think there were two pieces of sausage in there. Husband got a pancake and a breakfast sandwich, which was just OK. Should've known by the name of the restaurant that was not going to be good food. I know why they gave it such good reviews, it's because there's no other place to eat around this podunk town!! We saw the server once and that was to take our order. They have been around for 40 years. A lot of folks must like them. Meh! The server asked my wife and i what we wanted for breakfast, we told her and then she asked us questions on things we already told her. My cheese omelette was tasteless and the cheese was weird and not melty. Sausage patties were cooked so long they were void of moisture. I had an option of home fries, hash browns or hash brown casserole. I said i will take hash browns. She said it's a patty of hash browns. Begrudgingly i said ok. They came out tasting like old fryer oil. Pancakes were ok but i had to put whipped margarine on them. Please serve butter! Syrup came in an olive oil bottle with a liquor pour spout on top. My wife had the same thoughts. My wife got home fries and they came out as sliced potatoes that were tasteless with no seasoning. There was barely and browning to them. If you want breakfast and are not into properly cooked food with a server who doesn't listen, then this is your place. Sorry with 37 years in food service I am looking for more out of breakfast. read more

Sleepy town in Morristown but omg this place is an absolute gem. I came here this past weekend with our two young kids and the menu was the perfect down home country breakfast kind of vibe. Everything you want in the mountains. The hashbrown casserole was insanely good, the pancakes and french toast were great and the meals were made to perfection. Big portions, and above all else- the friendliest staff ever. Such a wonderful experience, and it was so good we went back the next day and had breakfast again! I can't understand why people eat here. We've given it a try twice. It's literally like somebody buys a truckload of Costco or Sam's Club food and just reheat it. Almost nothing seems to be made from scratch. It's literally all reheated frozen food. It seems like they have a great community of patrons that enjoy eating together, but it certainly can't be for the quality of the food. A "hidden gem" is what we read on a review of this great, home style restaurant, and enjoying Mom & Pop restaurants more than popular chains....my sister and I went there for breakfast! We found it on our way back from our trip to Lake Norris. (Amazing views btw at the Lake). My friend said the coffee was watered down. She likes her coffee a certain way. We were seated, served and got our food in a quick manner. They had Apple Pay but the girl at the register did not know if they had that capability. Typical cashier. Lol . We usually come here on Sundays for breakfast or lunch. It is such good food! The waitresses are so friendly, they treat you just like they know your mama! It's usually very crowded, but that speaks to just how good the food is. Service is fast, so while there may be a wait, it's never too long. They're open from 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM every day except Friday when they stay open until 8:30. Definitely recommend! read more
