I had a very frustrating experience with this store due to extremely poor communication and internal coordination. I left my watch here on 11/24 and was told I would be contacted within about two weeks. I received no contact at all, which led me to visit the store multiple times and make several phone calls just to get updates. On 12/2, when I visited again, the jeweler asked me whether Anthony had contacted me--he had not. I was repeatedly told someone would follow up, but no one did. Even after speaking with staff and the store manager on 12/22, I still received no proactive communication. On 12/27, I was finally told that there was an issue with the movement and that it would cost $275 to replace. I declined the repair and was told to come pick up my watch. However, when I went to the store on 12/29, I was told that my watch was not even at the store, and staff seemed unaware that I had already declined the repair. This clearly showed a lack of communication between employees. Despite more follow-ups on my end, I was told on 12/31 that they had not been informed that I wanted my watch returned. I eventually received my watch on 1/5, more than six weeks after initially dropping it off. I had to consistently chase updates, and at one point the store could not even locate my watch. Throughout this entire period, I never GOT TO SPEAK with or meet Anthony even once. All communication was done only with Fred Meyer Jewelers staff. read more

Right inside the Fred Meyer's Jewelers. He was a very kind uncle and said that he would have it done in about 45min but usually closer to 30min. He was humorous and nice. Changing the watch battery was a bit pricier than another place but this place has great customer service. read more

Anthony is a grumpy old man who had a hissy fit when I asked for a receipt when I dropped my watch off. He then continued to talk about how he has more expensive watches than mine and doesn't care about my little tag. I'm sure he does fine work but customer service was some of the worst I have ever received. I Will not be visiting grumpy Mr Anthony ever again. read more

I have taken a number of watches to Anthony over the years for battery replacements and band adjustments, so have known him to be working consistently over this period of time. As watch repair places tend to come and go, this was important to me. I had not taken any high value watches to him though, and was contemplating doing so. I decided to speak with him about my watch. Anthony looked at the watch, and after many questions were answered, he assured me that he was capable of this work. I wrote a detailed description of the watch, and the ESTIMATE I was requesting prior to work, then left with my receipt, awaiting his call within a week. After a week, I had not heard from Anthony, so I called. The phone was picked up, but there was no answer. I repeatedly called over several days, same outcome, so i went to the store. I was shocked to find a vacation notice posted there. He has said nothing about being gone for a week. This made me very uncomfortable. Thus, the day he returned from vacation, I called again. Anthony answered, but seemed flustered. He said he hadn't found my watch part yet, but had scoured the internet looking for a new part. He told me he would call me within a few days after he had looked further. I told him I would be there on a certain day to check in if I hadn't heard from him. He called me the morning I said I would be there, to say my watch was DONE and waiting for me. I was stunned. I took my watch for an estimate! I hadn't agreed to go ahead with the work. Further shocking, he said he had taken the watch to someone else for the repair. He didn't know what had been done, I asked about my original, brand logo part. He said it was not with the watch. I asked if it had been replaced with another 18k logo part, and he started to stutter, said he would call back after talking with his uncle. He called back in a few minutes, to said that my original part had been put back into my watch. This totally contradicted what he had said just told me. I began to ask probing questions, he didn't know the answers, or contradicted himself. But, he assured me, my part was returned to the watch. I went to pick up the watch right away, only to find that my original, gold logo piece was NOT on the watch, it had been replaced with a used, gold filled part. He swore to me that this was the part I had brought to him. I knew better. I took my watch, went to the pharmacy where my husband was in line, and showed it to him. He agreed that this was not the part he had looked at just before I left the watch. I went back to see Anthony again immediately. Once again, I got the same story. He looked me in the eyes and swore I had brought him this gold filled, plain, MIS-FITTING part! I assured him that he was wrong. There we stood, at a stand off, getting nowhere. Further making me angry is the fact that he does not give receipts for cash purchases, such as mine. His guarantee is his word, which I know now to be false. If you have a valuable watch, I urge you to take it elsewhere. I am contemplating legal action, because my watch is no longer whole. The part which was switched when Anthony took my watch to someone else for repair (without my authority!) costs several hundred dollars. It isn't right to charge a customer for repairs done by someone else, when the other party has stolen parts from your watch! Leaving my watch with Anthony is the biggest regret I have to date in 35 years of dealing with jewelry and watch repair people. Don't let this happen to you. read more

Anthony's Watch Repair, located inside the Fred Meyers Walker Road, is located in the jewelry department but not connected with it. I discovered this when I tried to pick my watch up after having a new battery put in-the owner was on vacation then and no one in jewelry had access to his repairs. OK-we all are entitled to vacation time and I'm at Freddys frequently. I went by several more times, more than several, and the place was closed or there was a line of people.... time passed....months passed. Either he wasn't there or I didn't have my receipt with me...and you HAVE to have your ticket...he wouldn't even look when I asked him to check for my watch without it. Today I had my receipt, there was no line and Anthony was there, went to the counter to pick up my watch. "You have to come back" he said/ "Why?" said I. "I have a lot of repairs to make-people are waiting for them" I looked around-no one was waiting for him that I could see. "I really want my watch" said I. It should be easy to find-heres the receipt." He opened up his drawer of repairs and honestly-it looked like Fibber McGee's and Mollys closet. Most of you won't remember this old TV show, but whenever they opened their closet door, everything fell out. The owner started thumbing thru bins and boxes of tan envelopes...hundreds of them "I can't find. I can't find" he wailed. "I want my watch" "Fine-you leave receipt and come back" "No way..not coming back and I want my watch now..give me a box and I'll look for the number" At this point he was under the counter going thru more bins and boxes and muttering "You come back" to me when he finally held up MY tan envelope and said "Here it is". Anthony needs organizational assistance, customer service training and a better way of filing his repairs. The watch repair wasn't expensive but it took 20 minutes for him to find my watch and he had a totally bad attitude because I wanted it then. It's convenient if you shop there-but--- I wanted to ask him if he could take a link out of the band but decided to go someplace else-convenience be damned. I wanted to get my battery replaced and a pin he charged me $18. I just wanted to make sure that he was putting a new battery and asked him questions on how long the battery can last. I think he was very rude and told me that he cannot guarantee if the battery can last beyond six months. This made me very skeptical about the parts/batteries he may be using. I suspect that he may be using inferior batteries but charging premium price. I would never visit him again. read more

Went to have post and crown done for my watch. They have same watch there still. This is Fred Meyer jeweled. He refused to look at it. He showed me the same watch as if I cared. Said 4 to 6 weeks. Advised I was on Seattle and they told me one day repair to get parts. Asked if he would look at it and again refused. Don't go here waste of time. read more
